I’m a dual US-Italian citizen and I stand with Canada so nice to hear a compassionate speech with facts, and concern for the welfare of the public not dictators and oligarchs.

Canada and the US have two different governments. But we are, in reality, ONE people.\nThe majority of US citizens, both those who voted for and those who did not vote for Trump, oppose tariffs on our Canadian ancestors.

Compare Trump and Mr Trudeau purely on their demeanour and the words that they speak. Mr Trudeau has demonstrated here that he is a skilled statesman, he can speak coherently and powerfully. I'm doing ongoing research to cease any spend on any US product or service. I'm buying software from Europe, using Posteo for email, deGoogling this year and vastly reducing Youtube. I trace all groceries to eliminate anything US sourced and I now check that products are Mexican and Canadian as much as I'm able and they are supplying. I've stopped planning trips to LA and NYC, I might resume if American voters ever have the good sense to vote en masse against obviously fascist plans and personalities. I've holidayed in Mexico three times and would visit Canada and Europe in future. US is not safe for everyone any longer, not even its citizens and looks to be getting increasingly insecure and offering prosperity only to the already mega rich through crooked policies and agencies. Every week or two I double check the facts on groceries and online products/services to make sure I'm not accidentally buying American. The election was so compromised in November I'm glad people are realising the only action we can take is with our wallets from not logging in to 'big tech' to buying bread and apples etc.
