The liberal govt is 100% to blame for this big mess.How did we even get to this point. Immigration entry was perfect until the liberal government made these changes.

Blame the government for allowing many lower level indians from punjab to come on student visa. I work with Indian in my company. The ones who came\nWith express entry and they are hard working and know how to behave. But the ones who came to study in diploma mills who have never worked corporate jobs nor know how to speak English are a no no \n\n. Also when you visit fast food outlets owned by indians they only hire indians. ( burger kings, popeyes , subway amd the likes). If whites hired only whites we would scream racism

There have been Indians here my whole life. They were very respectable, hard working and educated. They integrated well into Canadian society and contributed. The past 10 years or so we have been flooded with Indians and Middle Easterners who refuse to integrate and have a taking mentality. It’s making Canadians very angry and resentful. Canadians of all backgrounds. Why are we disproportionally allowing people in from Western Asia? We need a balance of people from everywhere. We also need to get a lot pickier about who we allow in. It’s infuriating having so many foreign students. I blame the government for all of this. Meanwhile what we really mean by multiculturalism is be Canadian FIRST and on special occasions or in the privacy of your own home celebrate your ancestry. Learn everything about what is valued and cherished in Canada. I lived overseas growing up as an x pat and adjusted to the culture of the country I lived in at the time. Being a local of Vancouver I have to blame for first the Canadian government who did not build infrastructure and more health care providers. Yes some Indians did made other Indians look bad ?

Yes I would blame Indian government and immigration Agents in India and Indian immigration agents in Canada. Canada have their rules and standard which are clearly stipulated. First of all if Indian students get student visa it is supposed to be supported by a college or university where they're going to spend number of years in the college, during the period they are supposed to have declared their day to day needs Canadian Government are not responsible for students health or their food. It it is their own responsibility student can not come to Canada on visa and start working I would suggest that before they start this process from India they would be able to evaluate the honesty of immigration agents in India I do feel pity for all these illegal students who came to Canada by getting conned by Agents both in India and in Canada.

This is our government's fault. You can't blame these fraudsters for trying but you can blame Trudeau for enabling it in the first place. He really has no grasp of foreign cultures and moral values. They are not Canadian.

Also people who are blaming the Indian government - Government cannot regulate what people do in foreign land. You think Indian government can stop someone who is loitering in foreign land, committing crimes, catcalling foreign women, overstaying their visa in foreign land, throwing gutka, cigarettes on the road? Go and read about how 'Passport Index' work. People blame government for India's low ranking whereas the factors affecting the ranking are based on how people of that country behave in foreign land. Whether they come legally and leave before their visa expires. Whether they pay tax or do crime. That's all I am saying. We are the ambassadors of our country and it is our duty to act civil when we are in foreign land as they see us as Indians irrespective of our caste, creed, religion. If you are unskilled to get a job in India then you are definitely unskilled everywhere in the world. Also, people should actually research about how pathetic is the infra in other countries that they so admire. No one shows the truth about what's going on in other countries as the whole world is busy blaming India and Indians. Is it so hard to understand that one should not do 'illegal' things?

Blaming government while themselves doing illegal activities. These opportunistic people are the reason the rest of us Indians are feeling racism and xenophobia from the rest of the world. If you are actually skillful, countries will welcome you with open arms and you don't have to go there illegally.

Not once has the word inflation been mentioned in this video, which the sharp rise of cost of living is largely to be blamed. Printing money always exacerbate the rich poor dichotomy. If the government decides to cut down on immigration, we'd have to address the issue of declining birth rate and drop in productivity as a nation. Manufacturing jobs are either underpaid or outsourced to developing nations due to globalization. In order to get a decent job, we are now staying in school longer than ever. for instance, as an aging society, we need immigrants to be our nurses, and doctors which drastically improve our standards of living. I disagree that cutting down immigration will sort out all of our economical issues.

The numbers of Indians coming here is ridiculous. I blame the Liberal Government, whose propping up a failing economic policy artificially by increasing population. But I also have to wonder, the Indians I know are slavishly trading info on their silly Zuckerberg app, do they not realize how expensive its become in Canada? I am a born Indo-Canadian, and I'm getting tired of seeing Indians everywhere, this is Canada, not India. I have to say it’s about time Canada does something for its own citizens instead of overpopulating our country with one nationality. I am so tired of hearing good Canadians being afraid to say the truth for fear of being labeled racist when all they are doing is stating facts. As Canadians we should really open our eyes and take a look at how we have failed each other, from the majority of white homeless persons addicted to drugs to tearing down the apartment complexes that born, majority white Canadians live I to build larger complexes for foreigners or parking lots. These are just a couple examples. Indians blame punjabis which is craziness. I don't blame those Indian students that much. They come to Canada and need time to learn and blend in communities. Instead, it is the crazy liberal government and it's mismanagement to be blamed. Most of the Indian students are victims of their mismanagement too.

the 70,000 students were coming in illegally i believe, 70k out of 1million+ that have come per year isn't so bad. I blame this whole situation 100% on the government and it totally does suck that these 70k people coming in are going to be deported but again there were and are so much scams that have been going on. If they lied and cheated on the system i don't think we should feel bad. Canada used to have higher standards. My family obviously are immigrant too but there has been no background checks, no proper procedure in the last few years and 2 races have been getting preferential treatment. Most if not all people that come in from Africa are left on the streets while the your country men, indian, and white looking are given a free house, food budget, and dont have to work.. We paying more for taxes and the government has increased work force by 40% yet wait time for services has trippled 3X, make it make sense.

As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

Why?;why? Why? When they already know that life aborad is unpredictable for them. Then they end up protesting and blaming the government afterwards. Better late than never. This was bound to happen because the Canadian government gave unrestricted entry to these international students. These guys are very talented and highly skilled in organizing protests and equally incompetent as far as education is concerned. The prime objective of these international students was to gain permanent residency through Canadian diploma mills. The authenticity of their transcripts is also questionable. Now, in the fear of getting deported they are organizing protest and playing blame game card. They very well know how falsely they have gained entry and treating them innocent would be another colossal mistake which may lead to serious consequences. For the betterment of future Canadians it is necessary to send them back asap.

I am an Indian and I am disgusted to see what fellow Indians have done to Canada! They come here with their total lack of civic sense! I was born and raised in Calcutta as we navigated daily through filth and dirt on the streets - not only because of the poor on the street - but bec of everyone else who walks around and thinks nothing of throwing their garbage on the streets, spitting and blowing their noses on the streets and even in buildings - stairway landings, or peeing in the open - in public spaces or against building walls, etc.. Narcissistic, selfish drivers who cut people off, break the traffic rules, grab parking spots, etc.. They come here and make every effort to Indianize Canada - to make this into India instead of respecting this country that has generously and (ignorantly!!) allowed them in!! If they want to live their Indian culture in an 'Indian environment' - then for goodness sake - GO BACK TO INDIA and clean up that country your call your 'matri bhoomi' - your Mother!! The presenter is right - Indians (and Sri Lankans, Bangladeshis and Pakistanis too included here - all with the same mentality!) have dragged down the customer service experience in stores and restaurants. Indians are usually polite but they are not good at maintaining a high standard of customer service! Employees in Walmart, Costco, Tim Hortons (especially!), etc., are seen standing around, chatting with each other in their Indian languages instead of being professionally attentive to customers. The shopping experience is not pleasant like it was 25 years ago!! Your remarks are not harsh and Indians NEED to take it personally and be embarrassed into doing the necessary to make the changes they need to. We immigrated to Canada not to come to 'another India' - we came to Canada and would like to live in this country to appreciate it's uniqueness and contribute to maintaining it the way it has been! For some history: The previous two governments only hit 20-25% of their stated immigration goals, and were heavily criticized by the provincial governments and business community for it. The current government actually achieved the immigration targets that business and the provinces were demanding. Most of the provincial governments are boasting about how much their populations have grown, and are taking credit for it, but blaming the federal government for the problems the increased population has caused. It is the provinces that have failed to grow health care, education and other services to match the increased population that they asked for, and it is the provinces that haven't increased minimum wages to match the increased cost of living, and it is the provinces that are responsible for housing.

Study permits are used as immigration access......I don't blame the students, the government put the previble cart before the horse. My advice to Indian students go home and FIX what you don't like about your country. You are your country 's future.....❤

It's the governments fault by destroying the value of our currency and making life so hard the population is looking to assign blame. I personally like the Indian population, they seem to value education, work ethic and family and we need population growth. The process needs to just become a bit more geared to skill sets the country needs.
