Fascinating. Canada is on my horizon as the best survival destination. Global warming is the imminent threat. Can't stay here in Florida, sea level rise is happening. So, cold winters and very hot summers ahead. The heat will kill you first.

Then why does foreign-born population make up 20% of people living in Canada? Seems like lots of people want to live there (I wouldn't but that's because I don't like cold weather).

To be poor in cold freezing Canada is hard enough , but even more crazy is the rich people - how can you spend the money and enjoy life in such a cold place , unbelievable !

They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.

I left Canada in 2018, main reasons: high taxes and few opportunities, woke government and just really a boring cold country. No regrets at all .Much happier now

It was nice watching your video. You asked for a suggestion. In your case, I think the best place for you to settle down would be Turkey. \nThe main problem you will face there would be the language. I think that is a big problem initially, but it is easy to learn a language, before going to that country. Once you are there, it will be easy for you to pick it up, because you will be forced to use it every day. The rest of the points you raised will be resolved. The weather there is not as cold as it is in Canada. Most of the population are Muslims, so you will find the required atmosphere to practice your belief freely and safely without worries or fear. When it comes to people, they are friendly and nice in general. Remember wherever you go in the world you will find good and bad people. This is life. \nThe 2nd choice would be US. They have various of mixed nations. Language will not be an obstical. But, there are many Muslims there. Some of the states have very big Muslim communities. The cold and snow keep most people away from Canada thats why Canada's population is still around the 30 million mark, it will be another hundred years before Canada reaches 100 million.

I am an American Christian, and you seem like such a lovely couple. I lived in England with two babies 1980nand I felt culture shock, so I feel compassion for how you feel living in Canada. I also attended University 4 years, NY near the Canadian border (30 deg below zero Fahrenheit in winters) so I understand how the extreme cold is hard to live through.Most of all, the Western world culture is beginning to push beliefs which even Christians can't tolerate. Hi Alina, If you can stand the quietness, relaxed lifestyle, cold weather , cheaper rent, and friendly people, live in the maritimes, Manitoba or Saskatchewan. There is a share of rude people (more like drivers)in Calgary and Toronto. Both are still considered fast-paced!\nPeople in Calgary used to be very friendly in the 90s, not as friendly anymore! No where in Canada is perfect though.\nI will really choose Lethbridge and Medicine Hat over Calgary or Edmonton. Calgary is getting more busy and people more in a rush!

I want to give a different perspective. I'm from Singapore. My entire family was here and they have moved back. My sister moved back first because my British brother in law could not take the cold. My brother moved back because he wanted to make money and be rich. My parents moved back to be close to their grandkids. But no way will I move back. Constant heat strokes from the weather, materialistic and shallow people, preference given to married people and families, lack of hinterland and nature, lack of winter sports, and poor LGBTQ+ rights. I have not lived in Singapore since I was 18 and I am also childfree, with no intention of raising a family, only travel locally, and am not into the acquisition of commercial goods for gratification. I love going on roadtrips and skiing every winter and playing hockey year round. I like that I can marry who I love here and can acquire a home without needing to be married. I understand how people who want to make money and raise families would see the brighter side of other countries, but Canada, despite its flaws, is my brighter side.

Cost of living is insane in Europe in uk in Australia too I hate cold weather rains and winter wind , your point is Canada is not a Muslim friendly country, Canada is a democratic and Christian country it’s not a islamic country . It’s good decision for true Muslims to avoid living in a none Muslims country to avoid cultural conflict.

Great comparison by these ladies. Wanted to share my thoughts about\n1. lack of color in cold countries- mostly Colors are representative of nature's palette. So brown, greys, blues, black in canada due to the weather & animals like wolves, bears,. India's bright sun & animals give us vivid clothing Colors.\n2. Food tastes better in india because of the climate again. Canadian veggies & Fruits are shipped from west índies & other warm countries so by the time they get here, distributed to grocery stores they are no longer truly fresh

I am sooooooo sorry to see that my own personal experince in Manitoba Canada is true. i grew up there, and when I went back in 2015 I was lonely and disappointed as the feeling of the place, the price, the weather, etc. was just awful. The mosquitoes, the cold winters, it was all so depressing.

Whereas I would describe myself as the opposite, extremely social and extroverted yet too shy to film myself talking...I would stutter and be really uncomfortable.\n\nOn topic, yes we have become cold to outsiders and I think you are correct in that the climate of political correctness has essentially choked any kind of openness as we have been taught since multiculturalism was made state policy to never ask certain questions or we are racist so to er on the side of safety we just don't say anything to newcomers anymore. That would be for the young demographic of Canadians but for older Canadians it is more due to resentment and anger, the reasons you list for wanting to leave Canada have all been caused BY immigration into Canada at such high rates and so older Canadians whom never voted for these changes to our immigration policies and whose voices never get heard are mad, mad their parents were able to buy a home in Vancouver for $50k with a basic blue collar job 2 generations ago now the same house is $3 million dollars. Or that we can no longer communicate with our neighbours because non of them speak english well or that we are constantly being called racist either by implication or outright by our media, academia and government. Or that our parents were able to afford university with zero debt afterwards now you leave with $100k+ in debt and the classrooms are 80% foreigner. Our the hundreds of thousands of Canadians who have been pushed into living in tents because sky high immigration has made their home town unaffordable etc Their anger is misdirected I know that, but it is understandable and will get worse. The future for Canada now is probably breaking into small countries because diversity has no future.

Completely fair that the cold isn’t for everyone. If you don’t like winter activities, there’s literally no point living here. For me, I could not live without skiing , skating, ice fishing and just messing around sledding, snowball fights etc. and other fun winter activities and festivals. There’s something about coming in after a cold winter day, sitting by the fireplace and drinking hot chocolate (not to say Canada’s always cold as summers are extremely hot). In terms of your other points, very debatable, as the grass isn’t necessarily greener on the other side and every country have their problems, but to each their own. Best of luck with everything :)

I’ve never been to Canada, but Sweden is cold too. We have a lot of Muslims here too but those I know personally complains about the cold too. But my dad who is a Greek immigrant always says that he lives here by choice and therefore he don’t complain about the cold. But it’s freezing here and I hate it.

Canada is the best country but that's just my opinion... because I'm a born Canadian. I'm not a winter person. Not one for the cold etc. Just love my country. But be you, go where you feel the most comfortable. Blessed be, wherever you go!

I would personally say go to Bursa or Alanya in Turkey. But even The Netherlands might be good transition from Canada. The winter also ain't as cold here as in Canada we also don't have a lot of snow here. You only don't have many locations to hear the Adhan. Just stay away from living in Amsterdam and you mostly will be allright

I’m a local Canadian and I very much agree with you. I’m planning on leaving as well and never moving back here. Canada used to be nice but now it’s just extremely expensive, residents are RIDICULOUSLY overtaxed, we’re not getting back the value of what we were taxed for, large cities like Toronto are overpopulated and thus the culture is highly diluted, left wing government, not to mention the cold wet and dark winters these days :(

I came here on 28 August as international student in Vancouver from India and just after 4 days I left canada on 1 sep and came back to india. It's shocking to say within 4 days I returned back, canada is not worth it, people from all world are mixed there it causes problem of fights and #other matters, survival is difficult and cold conditions, that's why population is less there, it is aim of govt that's why attracting migration towards canada but not worth it, we're going there by leaving various things in home country such as home, car, family, nation, property this is foolishness by leaving all utilities of life and to start again from zero in Canada it is big foolishness aslo by leaving nationality, doing struggle of just settling, In my view , we have limited time in life, we're having things and doing hardwork to do those things agin in other nations, its better to do in own country. It doesn't matter opportunites are there in Canada etc, every nation has opportunity, you're from Singapore it's best country do there not leave nation, everyone not have to migrate all have to do in their home countries. I can understand why people want to leave or not come to Canada, weather, cold weather can last up to six months and the summer isn’t always that great. Another reason, taxes…. Canadians are taxed to death here, you are taxed on everything here and if you make good money and aren’t paying enough taxes, you could pay a good chunk come tax time. Job market sucks, there are lots of jobs but these jobs don’t pay the greatest. Cost of living has skyrocketed over the years and in my personal opinion, since Justin Trudeau has been PM, everything has doubled in cost, so many people are struggling, many young couples can’t afford a house, rent has been on the rise over the years and so many people rely on the food banks, the highest it’s ever been in Canadian history, crime has gone up and drug use has also gone up and oddly enough, ever since Trudeau has been in charge and I’m sure some will disagree with this but Canada was never like this before Trudeau.

I live in NYC, and have been to Canada at least four times, but the last time I was there was quite some time ago. I always had a good thought about Canada, because it seems like some of the problems we have in this city, Canada also has in some way. Right now the city is a complete mess; at post pandemic and with a bit of a recession and a noticeable increase in groceries to basic things like cat food and tissues. That's not the biggest problem, it really is the legislation or lack of for people who not care for themselves. Those homeless people are almost not helpable and I don't feel threatened by them, but other people definitely do. The way the government has handled these undocumented migrants is a complete disaster and couldn't have come at a worse time. We have a serious housing crisis as well, and people can end up paying for high rent, for not the best places, but they want to live in a certain location. The migrants are coming in at about 60k in the last two weeks. You see mothers with little kids or babies selling candy all over the trains and it's becoming too much. Many see it as a form of child abuse or exploitation and we do not respect it at all. I think they feel we are weak and will just pay double for something we don't need. At one station today I must have be approached 3 times and interrupted 2 times while using my phone. It's just too much and we already have a lot of immigrants here, so I'm not sure where these people believe they will find any meaningful employment and the cold is coming. I wasn't born here, but came legally as an infant. I think the border situation is a disaster and it's obvious to a lot of people that the government lets things happen that will definitely effect citizens in the next couple of decades. The city is crowded enough and I do not know where this is all going, people do not want undocumented migrants house a few hundred feet from a childrens school. I just don't understand how they let this happen....I guess this is how Biden does things and all the groups that cheered buses pulling in when it first started are dwindling down....they just want them passed on to someone elses responsibility, but wouldn't want them as neighborhors necessarily. It's a lot of hypocrisy here. Canada seems better in some places, and the same in others.

I lived in Calgary (Canada) for almost 7 years. I do not have any issues except Blistering cold.

Since the liberals with the leadership of Justin Trudeau took over, 10 years ago, in the federal government, Canada has become a pathetic place to live. Socialism has destroyed the entrepreneurial spirit. Taxes are very high and professional immigrants can not practice their occupation since it is not recognized by the government. The government prints money and gives generous handouts to those that don’t work with the result that the debt has reached uncharted territories and the Canadian dollar has lost more than 35% of its value against the U.S. dollar. Healthcare is horrible since you have to wait for months to see a medical professional or have an operation. The country is run by monopolies and oligopolies in banking, and telecommunications. To buy or rent a house is extremely expensive. Finally the winters are long and cold and when you see the sun you feel is a real treat!

I was born in the UK but went to Canada as a young child with my emigrating parents in the early 1950’s. Later we emigrated to the US in 1963. I know I would not enjoy the cold winters of Canada at all anymore if I lived there. I lived in FL for 20 years which I enjoyed except for the hurricanes and rapidly increasing home insurance. I live in North Carolina now where the winter is very manageable. I hope you are able to find a place that meets most of the needs you want to find in a different environment. I am very sorry for what is happening in Gaza and like you I believe it is a terrible Genocide by the Israelis. I am not Muslim and do not belong to any organized religion. I am a Christian, and I have been married to an amazing North African (a practicing) Muslim woman for the past 17 years. By the way, we have lived in five different majority Muslim countries, but Malaysia is by far the best one of all. We have friends who moved to Europe from North Africa and the Middle East. However, Canada is definitely better than Europe, the Middle East, or Pakistan or any other Muslim country for any Muslim man or woman. We have very close Pakistani friends who moved to Canada from Dubai, and they will never consider moving back to either the Middle East or Pakistan. I don't agree with the Saleh family's reasons for leaving Canada, other than the cold weather. I wish them happiness and safety wherever they go. FREE PALESTINE!!

Isn't it a bit hypocritical when some people ask for the freedom to practice their faith and dress in hijabs, but find it unacceptable when men dress into women? For me, it's all the same mascarade people can indulge in, if they want to. Democracy means co-existing and compromising with people you have nothing in common with. Countries that seem morally acceptable to Muslims are 99% dictatorship states. If one finds it acceptable to live in such state and raise their young there, should be free to do so. But when suddenly on one October morning this dictator state launches a cold-blooded massacre on civilians in the neighboring country, it's good to remember who started it. Canada seems to remember.

I am Canadian bro, can't agree on your points. Canada is best place to live, I am also Muslim AH, never face any sort of discrimination. i moved from Dubai, and the place where i live i can see more hijabi womens than Dubai. Even my kids pray in public schools no one stop them. This is one of the best diverse country, where everybody respect their religion. Can't agree on inflation part either, just came from US from vacation, i must say we have better Halal options and prices, all things are way too much compare with Canada. Regarding your weather point, that's the story in most of the countries, Middle east is so hot(UAE, KSA, Kwait etc), you can't do any outdoor activities over there, except shopping in indoor malls, same like winter here. Even in US also there are only few states where you can find some ideal weather, apart from that all states are extremely cold or hot....

Canada has changed drastically over the last 10yrs. The cost of living is unbearable and I make $30hr here. You have no life because you cannot do anything anymore, you cant go and enjoy the things you used to do becausw of the costs, groceries prices are just absolutely insane now and when you add in this super inflation with the 7months of dark cold weather it offers nothing anymore! I am born and raised here... time for a change

Lynn just watched this video ,great content, i came across it after a friend of mine with a good job in kenya asked me if i had any links there, i am Jamaican, i actually established a business in Nairobi Kenya,which i moved from Jamaica which started in the UK, i told my friend i did have links but he would not be able to take the Cold weather, look Lynn the answer for me is if your KENYAN Government opened the doors to the Diaspora to come to Kenya from the Carribean ,USA and South America , we would bring our wealth and skills which are higher,no disrespect, yes there are intellectuals in Kenya, but they realise when they work in places like Canada that they are learning more, we as black Diasporans already had a head start when it comes to that , because we have been in those countries since Slavery unfortunately,but we took the knowledge anyway, if we came to Kenya and other African countries,not only would jobs be created for kenyans and such like but your living standards and economy would improve,its a no brainer, please do i video on this subject,?keep up the good work, nuff respect

I cant blame you for the cold. I dont love the winter either. I moved back to the cold winter from the coast and boy do you get spoiled on either coast of canada for weather! I just dont like to be cold. If I could move to the USA, preferably texas. I would go. In terms of living costs, its sad how many canadians dont understand that places like BC and ON have been pricey for a long time. Its new in other provinces to be this expensive and AB, SK, MB, QC. While some of those provinces are more expensive than others, they're new to the super high prices and many refuse to recognize how ON and BC have been paying these prices far longer then inflation right now, which isn't new either. While I'm not muslim, I am LDS and we are not a favourite religion in society either. We get chastised all the time and nobody bats an eye. I've been insulted by employers, our church buildings have been set on fire. I still have to explain why my faith doesn't believe in working on sundays (as employers want that these days). I think some religions or non religious dont want to recognize what we get put through too. Even though we can relate to muslims in our own way. My faith enjoys serving communities with the muslims, I have worked with muslims and many are just the kindest people! The first president of our church got murdered and our people got chased within the USA and americans seem to believe that this doesn't happen in their own country but the same hate has and continues to happen in my faith. So I can understand, we face a lot of rejection when we speak about our faith. I can understand in my own way how you feel.

Like all countries we in Canada have our economic and social challenges but Canada consistently (and STILL) ranks as one of the top ten countries in the world to live in. It is freakin' cold but getting warmer!

Live in a small town on the edge of town between Toronto. and. The US will always be better than Canada. More opportunities and freedom of speech and NO french! Spanish so much better and useful. Canada will never compare. High taxes and lots of cold and ice! Yuk!!
