Fabulous video! US viewer here. But we often vacationed in Quebec’s Laurentians and our daughter went to Ontario’s University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree about 15 years ago. UofT was rigorous, to say the least, but she did it in 4 years, unlike some of her peers. She LOVED it, and made many friends, including internationals. Depends on the neighbourhood... some have gotten better, some have gotten worse, and some are the same. If you don't have deep roots here e.g. friends, family, colleagues, social clubs, history etc., when some things become inconvenient you will just look for the same convenience elsewhere.

Regardless who or what your background is, there will always be a peice of you that you left behind where your roots are. Most move if they can afford (mentally, financially, ect) the move. If these moves become more difficult than being pleasant, your heart will alway yearn to be around more liked minded people, and moving back or somewhere else makes sense. I think these problems have come to plague almost all big cities in the developed countries in the last decade. Canada, like Australia, the UK,, USA, NZ, Netherlands etc is still cursed with the millstone of the failed political ideologies of the last forty or so years. These mitigate against the solutions: the end of mass immigration and a huge home building program. Expensive housing is the root of the problem.

Canada's has a very poor healthcare system. If your a politician orrich you can find afford the best of the best in everything, however the restof us can't afford a modest home to live in or affordable healthy food. And forget about a family doctor, the clinic that you stand inline for will write a prescription for some symptoms, but not treat root causes or referre to specialists. Now we have MAID, medically assisted death, if you end up with something serious or a cancer mental illness etc. the Gov't just wants to get rid of us, especially if your a senior. We get dental care if your 87 yrs old.

I am a dual USA and Turkish citizen. I highly recommend migration to Turkiye. I don't recommend Istanbul because it is too crowded, costly, and inflationary. Just a note, if the countries that you are considering, you have only visited as a tourist, a longer stay (maybe 6 months or so) may give you a better idea on what it actually is like.\n\nI am from (or rather, my family is, and I still have a majority of my family in) one of the countries you mentioned, and while every single thing you mention about it is true, many of the reasons you are choosing to leave Canada for is also applicable, though it may not be apparent to a visitor.\n\nPulling out and setting new roots are never easy, even if it may be the right choice. (Like a lot of families move from gulf countries to their south asian countries for college,having personally experienced as well as my cousins who lived in Jeddah and loads of other relatives)\n1. Schooling works differently in gulf countries, for example you have Indian schools that run on the CBSE pattern of India, Pakistani schools, Sri Lankan schools, International School with a British curriculum, International schools with American style curriculum, proper Native schools of that country that teach in Arabic.( Again this my experience in Oman, my cousins in Jeddah went to Indian school of Jeddah, so pls wisely choose the school that you want your children to attend)\n\n(this comment is just an opinion, hope it helps. Your number 1 reason to leave Canada is something I have been seriously thinking of too. When I first came to Canada it played a peace-keeping role. Gone are those days, it’s tearing me apart, being a part of such a country. I came from India about 40 years ago. And, everyone knows what is the present condition of India. I believe staying in a Muslim country where you have freedom to practice your religion freely ..a religious environment .. I was an immigrant child coming from Uzbekistan to USA. I got married and had 3 kids, we built our family in the US, but left 7 years ago, and moved back to Uzbekistan. I was very reluctant at first, but Alhamdulillah it was the best decision for our family! \n\nIt was actually very hard to adjust to the culture here for me because I’d become very Americanized and indoctrinated with feminism ?.
