I strongly disagree with this video. Canada is still by far a superior country compared to US. The home crisis is common to UK, France, Italy and many other countries, even without migrants. Compared to the average US citizen, Canadian enjoy a better health system, a competitive infrastructure system, some of the best educational possibilities and a greater equality in opportunities. It's often referred as an European-like country, and its human development index largely show how a successful model it is. This video emphasize some points without mentioning how bad the US situation is (healthcare disaster, the broken municipalities of the country, the private debt explosion, the educational debt, the federal debt, the gentrification of the major hub, the falling of the dollar as a world reserve currency and many more)

As a immigrant who recently got Canadian citizenship, I would like to clear few things here. I noticed that the host of the show has some wrong perception in his mind for international students. I agree that the basic jobs should be allocated to the young population or elderly population and international student should sustain themselves, but on the other hand why don't' the colleges charge the same fees that they charge to domestic applicants ?...the international students pays 5X to 10X the fees that the local student pays for the same courses. Also, when the student applies for visa they already pay 20000K to a Canadian bank for the future monthly payments that they will get so sustaining is not a problem. most of these students work so that they can contribute to the 5X fees that they have to pay. Also, when it comes to skill, the students skills are assessed by the universities and colleges and only after that they come to Canada. If you see an immigrant working in Tim Hortons or Food basics, don't worry he will be out of there in 2 years to a high paying skillful job that local population won't do. Now, when I say all this the immigration problem is real, but it is not because of the student who comes here, pays higher fees and than work in Canada, pay higher taxes and contribute to GDP and economy. your problem is with refugees and immigrants who are brought in mass immigration, who does not have skills. Because this is the population which you brought with to match the labor shortage but can not work so you provide them subsidies, assistance etc. and dig a hole in government funds...…now for the host he seems to have an agenda against Indian immigrants in particularly. I don't mind that though we are used to it. I don't hate him but can he make a video for other countries as well ? how Many Chinese students who didn't even past the language test come to Canada to study and drives expensive cars even without working a single day ? how you bring a immigrant under refugees status from any country to match labor shortage, but who also has 5-7 kids which means you get 1 guy benefiting Canada with 5-7 person who will take benefit from Canada?.....

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.\n\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Canada, unlike the US, was always more of a salad than a melting pot. Many separate ingredients in one bowl. It wasn't that long ago that Canada was dealing with the Quebecois issue. Beyond that, there are issue with First Nations relations. To expect Canada to be a melting pot is too much. It's a country primarily of English speakers, a large number of French speakers mainly concentrated in Quebec, First Nations people, and then European immigrants who in a generation or two become more basic English-speaking Canadians. You can't expect more than that form Canada. This is not even addressing how Chinese Vancouver is. That's another ball of wax.

I know its a two side issue (Indian and Canadian). But I would blame our present govt for letting so many international students from a specific country. They didn't even bother to estimate the demographics of people who they are letting in. When you are looking for multiculturalism then set a quota from each country rather then only from one country. And also must make sure they speak english or French and at the same time adapt to our rules and culture.

The majority of Indians do not want to associate with other Canadians. The racism in their culture is high. It is to the point that even Indians ?? are complaining about Indians coming to Canada. Many are doing the PR hustle. Have a child go to school. Then once they get PR. The sponsor someone.

Hey I’m Canadian and I feel bad new comers coming here looking to realize a better life when the reality of that matter the things they can access and freedoms they can have will be limited. There’s a serious medical access and to find a family doctor or wait 12 hours at the hospital. Also when people are professionals like engineers or doctors they have to start from scratch that’s amazing how many doctors or other high level professionals I met as a waiter, taxi driver, working min wage in a store…Oh boy the insane proportions of the housing is ridiculous to say the least. There’s people with 9-5 making 50k at the food banks, now low income people make less wayyy less. So I think they are even turning away international students. It’s quite unfortunate and not realistic. I live in Montreal. You know to know french here Quebec french. Well the increase in crime is because people are getting desperate and are in poverty and desperate. What n unfortunate situation.

The Indians 'living well' are being funded from India to be able to pay for school, they are also living too many in a house to minimize costs. They are not on the government dole. \n\nThis report is the bare minimum and didn't delve any deeper into any of the issues. \n\nThe government isn't helping anyone, the Canadians on drugs and destitution aren't in that state because of the Indians going to school. The Indians are subsidizing the institutions of higher learning in Ontario because they have to pay more than the locals. \n\nIt will all come crashing down, in the future, even the Indians will be destitute as will everyone else in Canada if the W E F plans go through. Mass immigration is part of it and the Indians are also getting screwed over, even selling land back home to be able to try to make it in Canada.

Listen as a minority person who is proud of my heritage but grew up here with immigrant parents who were given refuge in Canada, I can understand immigration. But...its getting out of hand, most of them are from India, most of them have homes in India and often return there for long vacations, These are not refugees or a diverse spread of peoples coming here. I am not hateful in any way but sometimes you have to tell it like it is, A lot of these people are not adapting to the culture here, why? Because most of them are grown already and are used to their own customs, with an ever increasing population now living here they don't really feel the need to learn or adapt because there are less regular Canadians. When I was in school it was already pretty multi-cultural and diverse although yes in my area there are less asians and black people, we had a lot of European(Serbian/Romanian) in particular. Now I go to the store and it's like 80% brown/Indian people lol, even my neighbors, most have moved out and more indian families are moving in. My city is expanding into like a mini Toronto when we can't even handle it, people cant even find jobs, people need all this other stuff, Its just too many all at once, crime rates have gone up over the last few years, this doesn't help anyone, immigrants either.

I'm all for immigration to help a country grow however, what Canada has done is first, bring in too many at once and not INTEGRATED the new comers. \n\nFact is, if you want to go to a country because of their freedom and job opportunity then don't come and try to change the country into what you just fled from!!\n\nAnd this is what has happened. Canada has allowed our laws and even speech change to cater to a foreign culture and political idea. Canada became great for what it was and ways it was not for socialism and other country politics. We've got road sign in Pakistan and some in Mandarin and some in blah blah blah. Too many languages creates divide and this is the other issue. Our own country, a country that designates french or English has signs and communities designated in foreign languages. This is not acceptable and is a cause creating divide. You come, you learn the language and INTEGRATE! We loved our country, you wanted to come for what our country has so don't try to turn it into the country you fled! And stop alienating the people who were here before you. \n\nSo, these are the two BIG ISSUES Canadians complain about. Rightfully so. \n\nI myself don't live in Ontario but find Alberta has become a foreign country and I feel like I am in danger now in my own lands. Integration is so important, and Trudeau bringing in millions in a short time line did not integrate but now caused a great deal of violence and many new comers confused and hateful to Canadians when they simply don't understand that what they have done is not integrate but are overtaking and we feel at war with them.

There are foreigners in india that live there (thats okay) - Theres 550 “Canadian” companies operating in India ?? (thats okay), many many Canadians amongst other foreigners go to India to seek medical therapiea for 1/10th of the cost (thats okay), the British invaded india, looted her for 300+ years, killed their men, raped their women, sold them as slaves (thats okay), your channel is spreading hatred and giving rise to bigotry and hatred mister. Even tho most Canadians in the earlier years were mostly white, it was multicultural because they all came from many other countries and cultures. They still held on to their traditions but yet also formed a Canadian culture.\nTheir was a huge population of Chinese people too. They stuck together in large areas, many didn't speak english. Similar to Quebec maybe. They mostly spoke french and I remember a time when they didn't really like english speaking whites around. Seems like the premier would like it to stay that way. Protecting the culture. \nIn the 80's on the west coast I watched thousands of Sikh's and Punjabi's and similar move into large areas and take over many jobs in large companies. Lumber mills, rail yards, papermills and so on. I went to one job interview and outside the office window was a whole shift of people wearing turbans. Must have been 50 to a 100 of them. 3 years earlier when I toured that place in grade 12, it was all white people. What happened? That was around the time of the recession and jobs were getting scarce. The only people in line for job interviews were white people and the interviewers would not accept anyone without grade 12 and previous experience. Here is what I overheard as people were getting interviewed, Experience? No. NEXT. Experience? Yes. Graduate? No. NEXT!\nAfter 6 months of this I moved to oil country Alberta and Had 6 job call backs in the first day. At 2 to 3 times the pay I would have had in BC. Never looked back. But now that the industry has been attacked and the immigration has skyrocketed, Alberta is in decline.\nJust my 2 cents worth, and the people I mentioned back then, I have nothing against. I knew many and they were good people. \nBut the immigrants of today I feel to many are of another breed and not the same as before them.

Punjabi has become the fourth most spoken language in Canada and the third most spoken language of the Canadian Parliament. Just look how many Canadian politicians are of Hindu/Punjabi origin. Many of them weren't even born in Canada. So, whose interest will they represent, and who votes them in? Just a question.

She had no money to buy the diabetes medication so she killed her self with the assistant help of Canada. They were murdering people and then inviting immigrants in, how does that make sense?. And then no one‘s offering the immigrants jobs because there is no jobs but that’s not again the Canadians fault they can’t afford to put food on their own table. Canadians are hard-working and I know lotta immigrants are hard-working in regards to the students don’t come here maybe the United States will be best for you they offer lotta countries. Oh my God warm nice beautiful countries, I’m not country is sorry states you’ll probably be best for you to transfer over to somewhere there cause it’s just so many beautiful, warmer climate, and if people are used to coming from a warmer climate, it would just make more sense to me just an idea. I’m half of Canadians. I’m embarrassed of what is happening to the Canadian people under Trudeau and I’m embarrassed of what’s happening to the immigrants under Trudeau. Mr. Trudo needs a nonconfidence vote and sodas, the NDP, the broken laws both of them so both of them need to go make some very clear that a certain laws are broke doesn’t matter if he joins with an NDP throat people need to know the rights of Canada please Canadians look them up look up your rights, read them if you don’t understand them maybe it’s time we start having private groups and not on Facebook because Facebook rats. There's definitely a money threshold in Canada you NEED to make to .... have fun and live well. If you're a lifetime renter, or entry level worker.... it doesn't make sense. My family is established from previous happy decades. But even for us there is stagnation and living on savings (many family members moved back to EU, and I'm thinking of it as I'm fluent in many languages there). Imagine people starting new RIGHT NOW.... makes me sad that most Canadians will never had a backyard. Godspeed everyone.

Lifetime Canadian here; housing crisis for sure, but what`s even more insidious is many entry level jobs such as fast food industry, production workers in factories, and even culturally significant cornerstones such as Canadian Tires are being owned and operated by East Indians, going so far as to play Indian music over their loudspeakers for us Canadians (both at a McDonald`s and at a Canadian Tire). This Trudeau is so blatantly Marxist I can't understand why Canadians haven't marched on Parliament! Giving themselves pay increases during this economic and global crisis! Let's just dispense with the bullshit, Trudeau has sold out to the Chinese CCP, and we are witnessing the start of the end of our country! Our country is nothing but a soft communist haven, and our media is extremely culpable!

There are enough people around the world who would like to come to Canada that in a relatively short time, native-born Canadians who may have lived in a community their entire life can be quickly overrun when we have numbers like these entering the country. The numbers of people coming from the same country meet up with others from their homeland & find it easier to remain within that clique than to actually shed some of their old lives & Canadianise. Those who do Canadianise are disparaged as selling out by their ethno-cultural community. So we just end up with a multi-tiered society of different people quietly avoiding each other & living in constant distrust. It gets even worse when they bring their Old World prejudices here, as we have seen in places like Toronto & Montreal. It's safe to say that people on both sides of the Israel/Palestine conflict see themselves as Canadians second - at most. They don't look upon people from the other side as fellow Canadians, because they don't see any fellowship in their Canadian citizenship. It's just a stamp on the back of their hand that gets them to this relatively safe country when things get bloody in their homeland.

As a non Canadian and non Muslim I keep trying to talk to my Canadian husband about moving to Mexico with me, I am already in here and I cannot stress enough about how much happier I am here, beautiful weather, cheaper and just better in so many ways. I’m so happy for you guys. I def encountered racism in Canada as a Latin girl, even tho Canada has a lot of different cultures.

I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! The refugees get a free ride at the expense of hard-working Canadians, 90% of whom came from immigrant stock! What happens when Trudeau says these deceitful lies about legal immigrants is that the racism and discrimination increases dramatically. I have been left in agony in hospital due to evil racist Canadians who thought that my accent meant that I had just flown in yesterday and what right did I have to be there? Police refused to charge a neighbor whose son was threatening the life of my grandchild because the neighbor works for the CRA! Other people have the same complaints. Democracy? What democracy, oh, and please spare us Mr. Trudeau the claim to be a constitutional monarchy, when most don't want the monarchy as a head of state for Canada! I have been honored to have known, still know, and will know in the future, many good, hard-working, caring and decent Canadians, but Mr. Trudeau, can you explain to me, how many of those were actually of immigrant stock and how many have forgotten where their families came from? Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

I'm a canadian in my late 20s and now I can't even afford a home. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against all the people that have came here, but there has been too many in too short of a time period. The government should've propped up the infrastructure to accommodate these immigrants before initiating this plan of overimmigration. Sure you are giving us a first time home buyer credit and only allowing individuals with a PR to purchase a home, but there is still an underlying issue of how born and raised citizens are now struggling. I cannot imagine how much worse it is for those who are coming here for an education. Not to include the lack of jobs, it is a tough job market out there as well, I may have to move to the US to have a professional career, which is not ideal because I want to stay in Canada.

About a decade ago stories were running everywhere that the Canadian middle class was larger and wealthier than the American middle class. But the prices just kept going up and up, there was not enough new housing built (on purpose, to maintain the value of Canadian real estate), and the economy needed new immigrants to fill thousands of jobs and to keep funding the health care system and other social benefits. So now we have a housing crunch, where even Canadians who own homes cannot sell them because they have nowhere to move to (everything around them is just as expensive), immigrants can't find housing, and the health care system is overloaded. It's a proper mess, but it's not as simple as saying the problem is with too many immigrants.

Foreign buyers (multi multi millionaires) bought empty Canadian houses to park their cash, dont even live in them and then all house prices jumped astronomically. My parents bought their house in 2001 (285k) and sold 5 years ago (850k) when it should have sold for maybe 5-600k max. I strolled in the mall 6 months ago and there was a job fair and I've never seen so many applicants in person, it was like a firesale in the mall. It might also be the WFH boom which indeed saves a lot of money and time for Canadians but heavily impacts spending on local businesses and transportation (thus less economics stimulus). Gay marriage is legal, we eliminated the penny, we finally banned single use plastics, we don't throw money at space exploration or on our military, one year maternity leave, the Canadian Pension, the old age pension- so many government programs, everyone has access to free healthcare and it took a little too long, but we have MAID, we'll help you die if you're sick so you don't need to suffer. And where I live, we legislated out daylight saving time back in the 70's cuz it's stupid.

Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To many Canadians it has felt like a tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. This extreme situation never existed prior to 4 years ago.\n \nHospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes. And if you do find a place to live its quite expensive. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE (non-public) colleges are being investigated (including looking for strong oversea ties). \n \nCanadians are meeting students who told Canada they have enough $, but it turns out they borrowed it (some borrowed it for the application process only). Canadian food banks and other CHARITY services have been recklessly advertised on YouTube (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes registered in your name are now never replaced (unlike before). \n \nThen this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). I'm all for bringing in the 'skills & talent' with new immigrants. But these new Canadians must fit the criteria that Canada needs and they must come in through the legal system, be properly vetted and willing to abide by the laws of the land. Well now foreign students can work as many hours as they want now. So they used to be capped at 20 hours a week to Joe unlimited hours, thus making it even harder for a Canadian kid or student trying to find a job.

My husband is a senior piping designer and he can't find a job for more than a year and was on and off the job for last 6 years. As a Canadian, I love immigration. As a renter though, our government failed us so hard. They defunded our housing in hopes that the private market would pick up the slack. 5:25 this is absolutely true, and I say this as someone born and raised in Canada. It is even worse than you say, and it affects Canadians too. Many organizations have a culture of meek compliance to rules, which may not make sense. Most Canadians try to avoid standing out, and standing out is likely to be seen by your boss and peers as threatening. No one wants to rock the boat.\n\nThese rules and expectations may differ substantially according to the politics and beliefs of the employer. For instance, overtime may be highly encouraged in one place and discouraged in another. But the veneer of handling things in a highly compliant and pleasant way is always there, with a hidden expectation that you will speak positively about the biases of your boss or owner. In other words, the common factor is that bosses often have fragile egos or are afraid of anything that challenges the status quo. This harms critical thinkers and innovators who often leave to the US or China, but also immigrants who have even larger barriers to working within the status quo. \n\nEven among better bosses I have had, I notice this tendency towards intense discomfort with ideas that come from outside of their direct experience. Though at least with my current boss and one other I had in the past, there is an intellectual curiosity and empathy which helps them gradually open up to unfamiliar things (and they're just awesome people in general). But I still notice this bias sometimes. It's definitely cultural.

I live in Vancouver, born and raised, and the cost of living is ridiculous. I have no idea why these Punjabi 20-somethings flock here by the boat load. More than half won't/can't survive. Canada's Student population doubled in 3 years and Canada went from 7th highest Foreign Student Population per capita to 2nd, so the Canadian Student housing situation worsened quickly. So the Trudeau Government put a cap on Foreign Students and offered low interest loans to Universities to immediately expand Student housing. Canada has seen NO drop in citizen applications and still refuses far more applications then it approves. So with even Canada's low birth rate still combined with immigration Canada's population is the fastest growing per capita of Western Democracies at an annual population increase of over 1 million people a year. So the Headline about Citizen applications which had nothing to do with the story of Foreign Students.\nAlso I want to add they stated that the gentleman had set up a business to bring home students from Canada when in the interview he stated that Canada was only one of the Countries but stating it the true way is less dramatic and doesnt fit their Narrative. Also the story was clipped from India a Nation that has been ata diplomatic war with Canada for a year after their Government Murdered a Canadian Landed Citizen. So their Governement put out a warning for their Citizens going their amongst other revenge moves. So the story has so many outside bias to be sensible.

Anyone noticed all stores no Canadian workers, or that Tim Hortons or the gas stations your local mall all new Canadiens working,,1 grocery store, a friend of mine from the 80s,,I asked him there's no new Canadiens work here,,yah me he said,,no I mean them Punjabi people,,the boss is very strict on who gets hired I'm the only native here, did see around town how many of them working in town yah every where,,even that new Popeyes people are talking now in town,,they had a ride program in town looking for drivers who are driving drunk,,of course I got pulled over by a Punjabi cop,,waves me by,,ok drove too food basics paying for my stuff a Punjabi lady asks every thing ok,,,what I said I can't understand your English bye I said security guy a Punjabi guy sir can I see your bag,,,what I said I don't understand your English now I got people looking I just walked away,,the guy says have a nice day ?,,next day same store same Punjabi guy security,,,ok I asked him what did you want from me ,,,he looks at me saying shop lifting,,? no I said you asked me something but couldn't understand your English,,again people are watching us chat,,now he says hey ron have a nice day ?,,next stop Walmart ???,,now that's another story ??

Like any other country, Canada is not for everyone. I am an immigrant who acquired Canadian Citizenship recently. I live in a good neighborhood with a decent house. There are many like me.
