As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

I pray for you for bringing this to light as an indian yrself, rightfully said, thank you. Just my take on these immigrants from India. These young ones coming here, are different from Indians long ago or even a decade or as you said 5 years ago. They were never this type of people, or behave in the manner these do (disgraceful). Indians were known to be quiet and knowledgeable and respectful persons, at least for the educated and / or decent ones. \nI just see these now, as truly mischievous and don't know what they want in life. \nOpen yr eyes and realised ppl are seeing and understand what you're doing, and it's not acceptable, not because you speak in a different language that covers you from behaving nornal or eliminates you from trying to integrate into another country. For crying out loud, stop pulling the racists card. And another point, WHY do you need to practice yr religion so loudly that all must see and hear you???\nJust as you're not accepting some ways of this world, it's just and fair for others to not want to see or hear or accept yr religion practices. Do yr rituals in yr homes not in public, like how older indian did it. How hard is that to understand.

Yes Indians are responsible, India is a very dirty country and immigrants are bringing that to Canada. Recently a beautiful RV park was bought by Indian immigrants and what used to be beautiful is now a ghetto thanks to the new owners. Pooping on our beaches, pooping on people's lawns, this is not Canadian. If you want to be Canadian then clean up your act, leave your culture behind and take on Canadian values and traditions and if you do not like that then just stay out of my country, we do not need the mess India is in here in Canada.

Please Indians, we are BEGGING you to wear DEODERANT, especially at the gym. Men & women: We can't breathe around you! Canadians move away from you not because they are racist, it's because you are STINKING! Nobody likes that unpleasant human body odor. Open the windows of your home when you cook so your clothes do not smell of food. Come to the gym with clean clothes on. Always be clean and hygienic and you will be better received by others. As an Indian I can tell you for sure that Punjab India is corrupt. They make fake asylums and get fake documents from Punjab. They also make fake Khalistani claims. In fact Canada should be aware that these guys might ask for there own country if they keep growing in BC area. I have to face racism and discrimination now despite being here for 40 years. Bring people who are loyal to Canada and will abide by its rules and contribute to the country. Yes I faced lot of hard ship here but I am thankful for what I have. I like to keep Canada diverse and glowing in success. Politicians have failed us. They have created same kind of problems in Europe. Thanks Mr. Trudeau; I live in a small NS community that's in truth overrun with East Indian students within the past five years. Our own young people couldn't buy a job here if they wanted one, the East Indians scooped up everything. If you go to any store here it's like we're in India; almost all the employees and shoppers are East Indian, none speaking English which is our language here. Most people here are not comfortable going into our own stores, in our own community anymore. This is not racisim, it's common sense; it's just not a reasonable situation that's been put upon the people here.

We needed your honesty here good sir! I can't go to India and do whatever I want and that should tell you how much Indians disrespect Canada and our country. It is not a small percentage of Indians it is cultural - Indians give off an attitude of I won't be assimilating to your Canadian culture. This was the case before the opened immigration policy but they stayed in line due to the risk of their residency. Today Indians are acting like social justice warriors, protesting and making demands all the while Canadians are suffering. Indians would never stand for this if non-Indians came to India and demanded anything as immigrants. Im a 34 yr old Canadian and share the exact same view as you about this country. \nMy husband, myself and our tow kids moved to Mexico a few years ago, as well as a few friends of ours, and leaving Canada was like getting out of a toxic relationship lol Once you're out of the 'bubble' that Canada has created for it's citizens you see just how sour it has become. \nThat being said, we did move back to Canada to buy some land far north Alberta-only because we have small kids and want them to be around family-but if it was just my husband and myself we DEFINITELY would have stayed in Mexico. \nMexico feels safer, its beautiful there all over the country, the people have wonderful community and live life fully, the culture is enthralling, the food is BETTER in every way, the language (Spanish) is a fun element to life, and best of all-in Mexico, you are out of the censorship and the 'fear bubble' in Canada. You see it all over headlines, you hear it on the radio, it comes out of everyone's mouths in Canada-obsessed with 'safety' and everyone is terrified of living. Now that we're back we're very aware of it and do our best to ignore it and block it out. \n\nMoving abroad is a lot of work, but I would do it again in a heartbeat and recommend it. If you are able to, just do it.

I am so thankful I have Greek and Macedonian citizenship. As soon as I'm done with my education, I'm moving back to Greece or Macedonia, somewhere there are hardly any Indians. I literally get lucky to see 4-5 white, black, or latinos a day in my city, the rest are all Indian, Pakistani, and Arabs. I don't feel like I'm living in Canada anymore, I feel like I'm living in the Middle-East. I only have 2 more years of university and then if I don't go to Greece or Macedonia, it'll be because there's too many Middle-Easterners there too, and I will go someplace like Korea or Vietnam, where there are practically no Middle-Eastern people. Sorry, but you're right about them being rude, and they act like they're entitled to everything. It's disgusting and I've had enough. The problem will only get worse even if we shutdown immigration, because there are so many here already, and they don't have kids, they have litters of 5-10 children per family. Soon the whole country will just be Middle-Eastern, just give it a few decades. If you can get out of Canada and go someplace else, I suggest you do now, before it's too late.

While I have worked for a company run by Indians and they were great but there are a few Indians who are total Indians who don’t care about their actions! As a truck driver Indians are more and more becoming truck drivers but they don’t respect others! Pooping in urinals using washrooms and leaving them very dirty. Driving erratically just acting like someone else is to clean up behind them! Now Indians working retail and service jobs are great I sooner deal with them than white people! I try to deal with Indians with respect as well as other nationalities saying thank you to people isn’t a bad idea.

I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. They also have a superiority attitude. \nThis is a plan honest list of observations. I hope they learn to integrate with Canadian culture, improve their language skills and learn proper hygiene. I think if we take the racism card off the table and think about these issues colour blind we might make more progress. Thank you for your proper thinking on this issue. I think the law enforcement should start giving people who are breaking the law more punishment when caught. There is no excuse for some of these very bad things being done. I don't want anyone to be arrested because they are Indian... or from any other background. If someone is pooping on a beach, or breaking the laws, they are criminals and should be punished. I have nothing against anyone who wants to be a positive part of Canada. I like anyone who is respectful and kind. But I do not like criminals, and I think criminals should be punished when caught.

That’s so sad… I am mexican (I know what everybody think about us regarding inmigration ?) \nBut, I disagree with all those inmigration programs, I always said that If you’re moving to a different country, you have to behave and live like the locals do. I'm a graduate of a top German university, and I've successfully navigated all the challenges, from learning German to securing a job, getting a driver's license, finding a good home, obtaining a permanent residence permit (including nightmares of dealing with the notorious Ausländerbehörde), and more and I am truly thankful to this country. Despite all this, I don't feel welcome. While I've met many kind people along the way, there’s no guarantee that you won’t encounter nasty ones like racist landlords or neighbors or a random service provider and the likelihood of that happening aren’t low. I'm now considering a second migration to the USA because I've come to realize that in Germany, you may never truly feel like you belong, and constantly feeling like an outsider sucks.

I started having the idea of moving abroad for a few years now. Being born in the US to Mexican parents, I’m very thankful for living a good life in the states as I’m about to graduate with my masters degree soon. Being 24, I have already traveled to 30 countries since I started going with my father 10 years ago. With where everything is going here in the US, I don’t feel comfortable continuing my life in the states. I haven’t done much research but definitely something for me to look into within the next 5 years. Like you said, it’s not an easy decision to make.

Thank you for sharing your story. There are so many Canadians who share your views and who are equally upset about the state of affairs in Canada, including me and my husband. We have recently started contemplating moving to Serbia (my home country). Compared to Canada, Serbia has very affordable housing, and a much better healthcare system. Moreover, the majority of the population also speaks English and for someone coming from an an English speaking country like Canada, this is a huge bonus. Good luck on your journey and you have made the right decision to move.
