I don’t know about rest of the world but in the US alone, 700,000 Indians entered the country either illegally or overstayed their US visa just last year alone. In Canada, some Indian international students were discovered to have forged their education documents and now have been deported. we have a huge problem with indians coming on student visa. They usually work and do cheap courses that doesnt earn then a well paid job.

Palki’s logical arguments are mostly spot on. However, I am surprised that she asks this question but doesn’t not answer with sound reasons so the people can learn and improve. The reasons for rejections may *possibly* be due to the number of Indians than have over stayed their tourist visas or due to illegal entry or international students that have not returned but rather stayed back illegally. Also possibly due to certain behaviours against women or cheating/corruption practices taken to the new country. Palki should do that research and then present based on evidence which she usually does a great job with.

We should also start rejecting foreign person visas in equivalent proportions..especially when other countries are intentionally rejecting visas of good knowledgeable and well to do Indian people/ bright students. This is racism

Check lithuanai 100 percent visa rejection I checked .all student visa. They take college fee , visa fee totally 3500 euro ? finally rejection. They did from 2015 till now. Totally they scam more than 35000 crore . Do documentry . Klaipeda university and it is public university sell application to minimum 10 thousand students and never reply . It is not about being under UN sanctions or under military rule. Many Indian visa applications (especially for student visas) are supported by fake documents. Many try to emigrate by hook or by crook especially to the US or Canada via other countries. And the less said about the behaviour of Indian tourists abroad the better. Dishonesty, cheating and so on may be a way of life in India but other countries still value decency and civic sense.

For such rejection and restriction students can not apply visa for the countries which visa centres are in India. Its tit fir tat.

The headline is misleading - suggests India is rejecting visa applications. Anyway, reality is India, and the Modi government’s priority, is to ensure Indian intake into foreign countries increases substantially. This is due to the lack of jobs and resources locally. The bigger issue is fraudulent applications. The Australian government blacklisted student applicants from Punjab, Gujarat, Bihar and 3 other states for high proportion of fraudulent applications. Sadly, after Narendra Modi visited Sydney when a Quad meeting was called off but Modi still travelled, Gujarat was removed from the blacklisted states. One fraud leading to another fraud. That is the core DNA of the country and the genuine applicants too suffer.

It is now well known that Indians are desperate to do everything (legally or not) to get a PR in the western countries because of population explosion in India and hard life! It’s the fault of Indians , most of them breach the conditions of their visas especially students from Punjab who take unfair advantage here in the U.K. They work for more than 20 hrs which is allowed under student visa. As an Indian staying in Australia, I feel ashamed because the genuine students are not even 10 out of 100 from India. They are just coming for work and PR, and on top of it, they are ruining the culture here. It's an absolutely correct decision for Western countries. Indeed, they should keep INDIA on BLACK LIST

Palki why not do some due diligence…research before wasting five minutes and 20 seconds on defending a position. The largest number of overstayers in the UK are Indians….not Burkina Fasosns or Cubans. West London has about 15000 students…who speak so poor English that one fails to understand how they understand lessons in English! They work as waiters at the wedding venues and fast food outlets. \nI found them doing the same in Sydney. They are 18 year old….if they attend any college…it is not a university..but community colleges! What higher education are they going to get there that wasn’t available in India. They don’t have funds to eat two meals a day and end up in Temples and Gurudwara everyday. They fill containers for the next meal too. Their public behaviour and lack of etiquette causes resentment in local population.

Australia banned student intake from 4 north indian states. they have reason to do so. no country shuts door to quality immigrants. myself and my spouse (Skilled couple) got invited for PR with in 2 years of our stay in Australia.
