We the American people don,t want this either! It,s out stupid Republican government!!

I’m am Ukrainian Canadian and over the last few days I see how the new US government’s policy ruining everything we all believe in so dearly: democracy, friendship, helping shoulder to those who needs support against the bloody dictators, and firing thousands of people without cause who provided cybersecurity, guarded fairness of your elections… all being flashed down the toilet. And I watch it being replaced with bulling those who is bleeding, stabbing the friends and neighbors, singing praise to the war criminals charged for crimes against humanity with unlawful deportation and transfer of 20,000 Ukrainian children into russia. Children?! And I want to ask you a question: will you be a silent bystander watching the world plummet into the hatred, redivisions of borders and the rule of heartless convicted “deal makers”? I think I know who he made the deal with... And to those who voted for him: do you still believe this will lead you and your country to greatness?? One single fact that both Moscow and Beijing celebrate watching what’s happening should raise your eyebrows and question your decision to bring this man into power. Instead of making America great again the fight for saving America just began. God help you and all of us!

This clown ?who took an entire country hostage by freezing parliament, the one who systematically destroyed the Canadian economy is giving us a lesson in economic strategies! Canadians want immediate elections and the repositioning of Canada in the economic war with a strong government, supported by Canadians, not with gangsters and thieves in government!

The current government only cares about their personal bank accounts; they want to destroy true Americans. Trump is not a true American; he is Putin's pet and will follow everything Putin wants. The people who follow Trump are his criminal gang, to fulfill Trump's dream that he is some great gangster. He is not a gangster, he's a con man, lying piece of crap. True Americans are disgusted at the very thought of him; we can't stand to see his face, hear his voice, or hear his name. The American government is destroyed because Trump is in the White House because the stupid people elected him.

Mr. Trudeau, I’m sorry our government sucks. I promise you that most Americans don’t want a trade war, or any of these insane changes that are happening to us. Many of us are incredibly terrified of what’s to come.

The problem is that Canada enjoys American friendship as long as it is costing America hundreds of billions of dollars. Trump simply wants a fair playing field. Why must America always take the short end of the stick. The moment we get a government that ask for things to be fair all these countries that have benefited rush to complain.

If you truly want to work with and help our society in the US as you claim. You'd happily pay the tariff's. \nAlso, you do realize that you can open up a facility for the production for those goods in the US and avoid the tariff's. This would also help by giving our society jobs back that were lost over the decades of free trade robbing our society of those jobs, making more people reliant on government entitlements. \n\nThank you and have a good day neighbor.

I will do everything within my limited economic (non-billionaire), physical and social power to protect Canada against american aggression. You have threatened our democratically elected government, natural resources, economy and personal freedom. By electing “that person” as your leader and aligning with authoritarian dictatorships like Russia, you have threatened not only Canada and Ukraine but world peace. You have threatened your own economic and personal freedom. Prime Minister Trudeau spoke succinctly in a comprehensible way to let you, the american people, know the seriousness of your choice. If you understand what you have done and realize the implications, then peacefully protest (if that is still allowed with your evolving fascist/populist/authoritarian government). Contact your local, state/territorial and federal government officials. You can let your governors, senators and representatives know that you do not agree with the government’s actions and the subsequent hardship it will impose not only on the world but on you, your family and neighbours. Make change happen in a peaceful, non violent manner, while you still can. We didn’t ask for nor want this absurdly unnecessary confrontation but when attacked, we will fight our old friends and historic allies. Elbows up Canada!

Of course it's not about Fentanyl. It's about eliminating the income tax. The GOP wants to reinstate the economic policies that existed before the Civil War. The first federal income tax existed from 1861 to 1872. 41 years after it was repealed, the IRS was created and the current federal income tax went into effect. It is becoming quite clear now. This isn't about drugs. This is a libertarian plan to crash in annihilate the economy and the government of the United states. This stinks. As an American, I hate that our administration is willing to throw innocent civilians under the bus as a bargaining tool. I think it is important to note how much governments complain when they get taxed but how much they also complain they aren't taxing their people even more. Imagine if the people got this upset Everytime they were taxed. And if he wants to fight russia in wwiii he is welcome to go to russia and get it started rather than negotiate peace. America loves life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. That's why we elected trump and LOVE everything he is doing. We wish more loved that too like us.

If Trump was a Russian asset, this is exactly what they would want him to do. Destroying NATO, dismantling the US government, taking our defensive capabilities like Cyber team stop focusing on Russia, and finally cratering the US economy is EXACTLY what Russia wants. As an American who opposes - STRONGLY opposes - the Trump administration and everything it stands for, I am sorry for what our country's government is doing to the rest of the world but especially to our oldest, closest allies. \n\nThe MAGA faithful will remain faithful even as the prices of virtually everything goes up and up and our economy tanks. It would be nice to see more from Canada in their investments to secure the border and stop crossings, cartel movements, and drug operations. The US has spent more than 409 billion since 2003 on such operations. Regardless, I feel for you Canadians and it sucks that it has come to this and I hope we keep strong relations in the future. Hopefully we can come to a fair deal soon. Mexico and China are the big players that do not do nearly enough to prevent these crimes. In fact, the Mexican government helps the cartels by not trying to stop them. China's lack of regulation on the ingredients to make fentanyl contribute to a large extent to this tragedy as well.

1/2: Myself and the saner half of the US that read, understood, and voted against Proj 2025 understands why they need to levy retaliatory tariffs especially as a Michigander who's lived less than 4 hours from Canada all her life, who has family in Quebec and Ontario, and is a job-seeking policy professional and international trade nerd who now cannot in good faith seek a job in the federal government. We Michiganders especially in the central and eastern UP and Detroit and Ann Arbor area are friends, coworkers, and family of Canadians. Some are even dual citizens. It is sad that it's come to this. \n\n2/2: I still personally just can't wrap my head around how a trade deal Trump put together himself and called the best (the USMCA in question) is all of a sudden so bad. Logic doesn't work with these types of people...
