As an immigrant living in Seattle, I sometimes compare with Vancouver, BC. US limits a number of H1B visas and PRs per nationality so things are not as extreme as Canada. I sometimes feel sorry my Indian/Chinese peers are struggling with visa to live in the states and that's what the government has to control.

I feel sorry for my Punjabi brothers, they have a strong sense of community, some of them are bringing bad name to their own society, but this is next level , they leave their country, come, work hard, buy up overpriced real estate from white people, Ukrainians and previous waves of immigrants paying their over priced rents for housing, commercial, serving these people in government, only to make them stupid to make these comments only because they feel they don't have any franchise in their own country. I grew up in Malton (borders Brampton) in the 1980's and it was all Western European and Canadian folks and it was great. Such a sense of community and everyone knew everyone. Us kids would stay out until the street lights came on and played in Parks. It was really safe. We moved away in 2006 because the area had gone such down hill by 1999 and the crime was horrible. Stolen cars, alcohol and drug abusing Punjabi folks and the domestic partner violence of the Indian men beating the crap out of their wives was insane. (I had a friend that was a Peel Region Police officer who ended up leaving because she couldn't take seeing it any longer). I have nothing against Immigration, because my dad was an immigrant, but I do have a problem with the amount of any one country we let in, and the types of people that we let in that contribute to crime and area degradation. It's so sad the slums that have become in Brampton and Malton since we left. I'm glad we got the heck out of there when we did. I feel sorry for all those that are stuck there still. Furthermore with such an influx of immigrants into one area it has driven the house prices and rent through the roof because the pace of immigration was nowhere near the housing starts, and cities think that everyone needs to be packed in like sardines and when you have that many people living in close proximity and you have such expensive living costs it's a disaster waiting to happen and it brings along with it tons of crime and drugs. The Trudeau government really messed up this country and the GTA Cities like Brampton are a shining example of that. It's sick that we pay as much as we do for government at all levels that are this idiotic. It's time we protested in the street and made the government at all levels fear the public again or it's never going to change.

Singapore Airlines is an absolute treat to fly on. I gather in a microcosm, it is interesting to compare Air Canada and Singapore airline or all Nippon airways, with Air Canada. Air Canada is very expensive for a one or two hour flight, not so in Southeast Asia. Air Canada service is horrible, intimidating, and nasty. Singapore airlines and all Nippon airways, is exactly the opposite. Air Canada makes it very difficult for you too make claims on cancelled flights, broken luggage, and breaches of contract. Singapore airlines and other airlines in Southeast Asia go out of their way to advert a claim. The taxes on a ticket with Canada is horrendous, both indirect and direct taxes, in Singapore and all Nippon airways, much more reasonable. I think when you compare to airlines or multiple airlines against Air Canada, Air Canada is a microcosm of economics, workplace normality, and courteousness. Canadians will always say “I am sorry. “but let me assure you for somebody that is both, culturally Asian and Canadian, they don’t mean it a bit. The culture is more passive aggressive than anything else. Canadians are distant, and have a very, very remote education on their own country. I also have to give credit to the Singaporean pilots. There is usually the captain, first officer, and a second officer or two upfront. Excellent training for the up-and-coming first officers and captains. In Canada, of course we don’t do this. I feel at the safety upfront, especially in an IFR environment, is being sacrificed in Canada and North America. cost is everything, will safety seems like it has taken a backseat. Second officers should be mandatory on all Air Canada flights. This is not the case anymore. Also, on a visual approach to hit the button, I would definitely give the Singapore captain the edge. The hands and feet of an air. Canada pilot has deteriorated beyond belief where, if they don’t have their flight management system and auto pilot going in full tilt, they start sweating and second-guessing themselves. I’ve witnessed this many times.

As an Indian, I feel sorry to all,\nI understand your frustration and not getting enough jobs/wages.\n\nWhat should we do? When Canadian University/college Doubled International seats, people will definitely try to fill it up.\n\nWho is responsible for approving twice the amount of international seats?\n\nThere are many courses in colleges that have no value at all after graduation. \n\nWhy Immigration Officer not behave strictly and didn't ask a question on not valued courses?\n\nThe final decision is on Immigration officer's hand, whether to approve candidates or not, then why did they approve tons of number of students?\n\nMay be government policy or something else, I don't know.\n\nAgain, I feel sorry to all. Feel sorry for all the good people living in Canada!

I came to Canada as an immigrant in 2020 and immediately went back to my original country. However, I feel sorry for the nice people of Canada that unfortunately don't have other choices. You feel that the Canadian system is designed to make people poor.

I feel more sorry for the new immigrants coming rather than established Canadians. Canada scams immigrants particularly international students who pay through the nose for a mostly substandard education.

Canada is a completely different country then 10 years ago. I feel sorry for any immigrants coming here. I was born and raised here and I want out. I am guessing that 17.5% has more than doubled from 2017-now.....

You will never ever see these horrbile scenes in any muslim country even if people are poor .. why ? because Islam has a very important law that you as a muslim have to give 2.5 % of your money every year to poor people who need food or shelter ... moreover , you are incourged to help them in any way you can .. In the other hand / they must help them selves by work and be responsible .. Drugs and alchohol are prohibted , family should stick together .. taking a very good care of women and eldery is so important in our religion ... Living in Toronto, I used to feel sorry for the homeless. Now, with the current living cost, I am almost homeless myself.

Same in uk with the people coming over on boats they get way more than our homeless and families and Veterans and we are made to feel bad because we don't like this arrangement sorry but local people from the country are priority.

Inflation is higher than what they say.. real estate prices are out of touch with the actual wages and salaries.. cost of food is unbelievable… rent is ridiculous.. Wages are laughable.. taxes are insane.. we are also taxed on so many things on top of income tax such as .environment, carbon, plastic, sugar tax etc… it is insane.. Healthcare is going through crisis… Getting MRI takes ages.. So now they wanna bring 500k in the midst of all this ? It is going to screw us more .. I also feel sorry for the migrants who are moving out here with lots of hope and ambitions… I also feel sorry for us .. stress = mental health issues….. This government screwed each one of us.. what they are doing doesn’t make any sense to me. They are out of touch with reality.. Can’t wait for the election and will never vote for NDP or Liberals.. they surprised me.. My quality of life went from good to bad and bad to worst..I love this Country.. and I want the best for us!!! ?

If you are a legal immigrant then I feel sorry for you, this isn't fair. But if you're an illegal single male or female, you should go back. Coming to the US because your country is financially unstable is not an excuse to break our laws. Children must stop coming through the southern border as most of them are going to be sexually abused and trafficked. The same for the young women. Stay away for your own safety. Our country can't continue to sustain this problem anymore. I'm sorry that other countries are dealing with corruption, desperation and injustice but if we keep allowing people to break the law by entering illegally and attack citizens without consequences then our country will become just as corrupt and disorderly as there's. We should have laws and policies that are supposed to prevent this kind of thing. I understand many of them are willing to work to support themselves but that's not possible if they are not legal citizens. So my question is why do illegal immigrants feel that tax paying Americans should support them.

Because of bleeding heart liberals, people from all over the world know that if they go to Canada or America, they will find a government or NGOs(which are a scam, that is your money), that will feel sorry for them, and provide free housing, food, clothing, healthcare, dental care etc for them. I feel sorry to see all these news about Canada. Canada is a beautiful country it values family. Instead of granting visa to high school graduates they should welcome more to family sponsorship, professional graduate students on the funded program. Canadian take student loan from government to fund thier undergraduate program. People chose to immigrate for quality of life and experience new things. It is very disappointed to mobe to that country where the housing is top challenges and affordability. The consutlant offices has to be penalized for selling canadian pr. The strong action from canadaim government is necessary. Punish those criminals who have ruined other life foe thier own earnigs.
