Improving Canada's Immigration System: A Clear and Practical Approach\n\nCanada has always been a welcoming country for immigrants, but recent trends have highlighted the need for a more careful and balanced approach. \n\nBelow are key suggestions to improve the immigration system and ensure it benefits the country and its residents:\n\n1.Strengthening Immigration Rules\nCanada should adopt stricter immigration rules to ensure that only those who meet certain standards are allowed to enter. This includes thorough background checks and making sure immigrants have the skills and education needed to contribute positively.\n\n2.Pausing Immigration to Address Issues\nTemporarily slowing down or pausing immigration could help the government address current challenges. This pause would allow for a review and improvement of policies to ensure future immigration is better managed.\n\n3.Making the System More Selective\nThe immigration process should be more selective, ensuring that only those who are truly qualified and capable of contributing to Canadian society are accepted. This could include tougher language tests and more rigorous checks on educational and professional qualifications.\n\n4.Focusing on Skilled and Intellectual Talent\nWhile labor is important, Canada should also focus on attracting immigrants with advanced skills, education, and innovation potential. These individuals can help drive the economy and bring new ideas to the country.\n\n5.Balancing the Focus Beyond Labor\nCanada should not only focus on bringing in laborers but also aim to attract people with diverse skills, including those in technology, healthcare, and other specialized fields. This balance can help strengthen the economy and reduce dependency on low-wage jobs.\n\n\n6.Enforcing Laws with Immediate Consequences\nIt's important that all immigrants follow Canadian laws. Those who break the law should face immediate consequences, including possible deportation. This approach will help maintain order and ensure that everyone respects the country’s rules.\n\n*€—Promoting Responsibility Among Immigrants\nImmigrants should be aware that they are expected to contribute positively and act responsibly while in Canada. Strict enforcement of rules will encourage responsible behavior.\n\n\n7.Prioritizing Canadians for Jobs\nWhile immigration is necessary, Canadians should have the first opportunity for available jobs. The government should focus on training and supporting its own citizens to fill roles before turning to immigrant labor.\n\n\n8.Regulating Educational Institutions\nEducational institutions should not be allowed to exploit immigrants by making false promises about opportunities in Canada. The government must regulate these institutions to ensure they provide real value and not just profit from vulnerable individuals.\n\n\n9.Reevaluating the Cost and Value of Education\nThe cost of education in Canada should reflect its true value. Immigrants should not be misled into paying high fees for education that does not lead to meaningful job opportunities. The government should ensure that education aligns with market demands.\n\n\n10.Reforming the Healthcare System\nCanada’s healthcare system needs improvement to provide timely and effective care for all residents. This is especially important as the population grows due to immigration.\n\n\n11. Reviewing and Improving Immigration Policies\nCanada needs to review and improve its immigration policies to address current challenges and ensure that immigration continues to benefit the country. This involves making thoughtful reforms to support both immigrants and the existing population.\nBy focusing on these practical steps, Canada can continue to be a thriving nation that balances growth with maintaining a high quality of life for all its residents.

Just like our former prime minister, Mr. Stephen Harper said and like Mr. Bernier said, we need a test of Canadian Values before we let people in. Period!!!! And you have to invalidate the whole prime ministership of Trudeau and check every single person who has come in after Trudeau become pm, for this Canadian values test and deport each and everyone of them who fails the test. I know this a bit radical, but it has to be done.

They come to the country with ignorance and dislike for other cultures, they go to schools that give out generic test study the answers. They only allow their own to work with them, they speak their own language. They've watered down the economy.

I know that some Iranian students are fraudulently obtaining visas to study in Canada. Despite not having sufficient funds in Iranian banks, they manage to secure degrees by paying money to certain banks, even when their accounts are empty. Lawyers may provide them with language test questions in advance, allowing them to pass without any real language skills. As a result, they are admitted to Canadian universities, even for master's and doctoral programs. Additionally, some students arrive in Canada with children but without a spouse to increase their chances of getting a visa, and they rely on Canadian government assistance. After some time, their families also seek to immigrate, and they often depend on government aid.I agree with sending them back after they finish school because I’ve heard that many professors are Iranian and pass them through courses without proper study. They also work for cash, hiding their earnings from the Canadian government while continuing to receive government aid. They are bringing their problematic system into the Canadian education system, which could have serious negative consequences if it continues.

Hey this is Canada, not the US. \nSome comparison between my native & Canada, below ?\nRoad rage here is brake testing in front of you, while in my native Bangalore it's following you to your house and breaking the car and you ?\nPolice rage here is telling, SIR GET OUT OF THE VEHICLE WITH UR HANDS WHERE I CAN SEE, in my native it's, OOTHA AERANGUDA VELILA BAUDU ?\nSo inference - CANADA IS FRIENDLY for even the worst rage shown by White true-blood Canadians is farrrr less potent than what my fellow Indians have shown on me ?\nComin to the 'rude' non true-blood Canadians I don give a damn, cause they too just immigrant f&&&as like me ?\n\n---- PS (U.S. is another level, they'll shoot u if they don't like u ?)

Regarding Canadian Gun Control, a few clarifications, just to show the difference with the US and how Canadian gun owners are some of the safest and law-abiding people:\n1. All licensed Canadian gun owners go through a rigorous vetting process before being granted, with references and even the consent of their conjugal partner. They take safety courses and they have to pass the tests at over 90% score\n2. All licensed Canadian gun owners get their background checks done every 24 hours. Every single day. More than criminals.\n3. Licensed Canadian gun owners can own semi-automatic firearms with magazine capacities of 5 or 10, depending on the type, and they use them safely every day for hunting and sporting purposes. So no, not ALL semi-automatic rifles are banned. Same thing with shotguns. \n4. Non-semi automatic rifles and shotguns have no magazine capacity limits.\n5. There is an urban vs. rural misconception among Canadians. Those who live in the big cities do not understand the reasons to own guns, while generally those who live in the country and isolated areas have many reasons to own guns, such as hunting, pest control and predator defence.\n6. Canadian gun owners do not have the right to carry handguns in public. They can only be taken to the range and then back home. They have to be unloaded and locked the whole time. You can only load at the range.\n7. Canadian gun owners do not have the right to carry rifles and shotguns either, the same way as in the US. When transported, they need to be unloaded, locked and hidden from sight in your car at all times. \n8. Finally, fully-automatic/assault rifles have been banned in Canada since 1977. \n\n\nHaving put this case aside, the majority of gun crimes happening in Canada come from illegal guns smuggled from the United States, not by law-abiding licensed Canadian gun owners. \nHopefully this will help understand the difference in culture between the two countries.

My wife has worked in India for 8years . After moving to german almost 3years back she she did B1 german certification plus techanical certification in software testing .But when she applies for a job she gets rejected. From that its proves dont need skilled employees and then she had to take up a mini job where skilled are not required in packing industries. While working there she made friends and they started asking her you are engineer and skilled person why you are working here and wasting time.

been in germany since august 2017, done B1 language course, integration course, test life in germany, then done one 6 months certification in metal field nd then done technical vocational degree in metallurgy as industrial mechanic. In jan 2021 got the degree as industrial mechanic frm IHK. Applied for job everywhere. Got 238 rejections in my inbox, since 2021 till now always worked as lowest wage jobs. During the technical vocational degree faced the worst racism frm those so called technical teachers. And right now working in supermarkt on minimum wage just to survive. Nuf said i think ,, liebe Grüsse aus Saarbrücken

When you come to Canada you need to live and behave in accordance to the standards of Canada..not show supari behaviour..many Indians especially from the North are keen on gettg service related jobs and have the worst customer care and service attitude.Even as customers they behave rude and entitled.. Canada should enact strict language and culture integrity testing standards before bringing in immigrants.

Im moving out of germany, one of the main reasons are, besides taxes and language, etc that people complain about:\n\n1. Worst food in the world, if you don’t eat fast food you will starve, I need to cook my own meals every single day because there is absolutely nothing decent to eat. Only things I can eat here are schnizel and sushi. \n\n2. Unless you come from a rich white country (USA, Australia, Canada, Japan…) you are not allowed to drive unless you do the test etc again even though as a tourist you can drive. This is just a plain racist law. Uber also sucks in Germany because they over-regulated it. So you cannot get around if you don’t live INSIDE a big urban center.

Sounds like a fantastic opportunity! I'm 40 now, British citizen, been working in the ESL/IELTS Industry for a few years. Also learning website development. So I'm going to give it a try... Looking for somewhere to settle. SO if I make it, I'll invite you for a 'thank you' coffee :)\n\nBtw.. Once you have been accepted and receive an offer of employment, what must you provide regarding the visa? Proof of funds, IELTS test taken? TIA!

My mom waited 9 months for cancer care and almost died because of that wait. Turns out the chemo treatments were a total of 6000, testing was another 5000, I would have paid that in cash in the US or central America would be way less. So leave the country if you get sick.

I live in Scotland for last 5 years, moved here because I was tired of India. Its corruption, polarized politics, and also how people behave. I have been welcomed by the Scots here, treated with respect and made many Scottish friends and know families who are some of the kindest warm people you will meet.
\nI also know lots of Indians who are well behaved and good residents of Scotland. But sometimes I see Indians who simply take advantage of the Scottish hospitality. These Indian abuse the honor system to the point that it has become less prevalent. I once seen some north Indian guy singing vulgar Bhojpuri songs to a white girl when on the sidewalk in a manner that can be called eve testing, that made my blood boil. I absolutely hate it and avoid some Indians unless I personally know them. Being and Indian I dont want to be associated with Indians abroad because these 1-2% Indians have given the rest of us a bad name.

love the nostalgic beginning of the video, indeed it is sad how many people are forced to leave Canada simply for a few common factors including cost of living vs quality of living. what is happening to Vancouver is sad too. I've been there for 15 years. Now for a few months in Eastern Europe. quite interesting to compare some things. I forgot how good it feels to not to wait for a check-up with a doctor for many weeks and cancel the appointment in frustration. There are countries where testing your health is much easier apparently. even though I rarely even go to doctors.

I did plenty of studies back in 2017 because I got a job offer in Canada. I paid the money to the immigration lawyer. As a qualified artisan, a qualified artisan with a red seal certificate which Canada introduced in my country, they told me that I need to pay and get my qualifications redone and tested again. That is where I stopped. This is a.money making scheme. Bullshit in red letters. I stopped the process and I am not sorry I did it. Today I am working in Saudi Arabia and it was the best move I could have done.

This was very positive coverage. Consider the implications of moving to a country where your child’s future academic trajectory is determined at the age of 10. This decision, based largely on a test that favors native German speakers. Not in a million years.

I am a designer and artist who moved to Saxony to reunify with family. I can say, being here for 3 years, it is VERY difficult to find a job in your profession when you do not speak the language. I am not a blue card holder, but my partner is. Despite our financial situation not being a dire one, I still look forward to integrating well in the job market and contributing my expertise + passion in the local society. \n\nI spent around 1.5 year reaching B1 level German (+including the waiting time for german tests, orientation course test and test scores etc.) Even with this B1 knowledge, you cannot communicate in a professional setting, more is needed. I also spent another half year time contacting our local Agency for Work, and experienced discrimination from their consultation service, a long waiting time and no assistance at the end. \n\nIt has been quite a discouraging journey, especially for someone who has high motivation to work and contribute. My current options are looking for jobs in Berlin, English speaker environments like Burger King etc. In my personal case, it has largely affected my confidence and enthusiasm for living in this country.

Honestly, who cares? We have bigger problems with immigration mainly of international students who are making a mockery of the system. The ones who can read and write in English or French are fine. The problem lies within those from some regions of the world where they cheat the English testing requirments to get into school.
|

What kind of immigrants? Not from Europe for sure. We need ton of paperwork, various sorts of test's, eligibility test,English language diploma from university, money. If I'm not high educated cheap labour - DENIED!\nBut ... there's one type of immigrants who pass the border just like in a supermarket. Their countries are in endless wars, easy immigration. Why would they fix their countries? This way is easier.

Too many politicians and activists have too many capitals on large number of immigrants. That is their business and career. Look at their eyes, you will know that they are lying. Canada had successfully historical record of immigration because we have a selective immigration system. It is broken now because too many want to live on the industry of immigration. They need to expand it. We, the test, suffer from it.

May be Allah is testing these Arab leaders whether they stand in support of Palestine or remain silent in a world. Those who used to speak out earlier, Allah has given them natural resources like oil, gas. Can the Arab leaders boycott Israel which is committing genocide in Gaza and Palestine? Today Iran is the best in the eyes of the Muslims of the world because it is the only country which has the courage to speak against it. Iran's one threat has shaken the entire stock market of Israel. Do Arab leaders also have the courage to take any action against Israel?

Cash, don't go there!! Our Canada/U.S. border is highlighted as the longest, undefended,(but just test that, I dare ya), border in the world. It is something to be proud of!! People living across the border from family during COVID could sit in parks along the border and visit!! Again about 40,000 people crossed from the U.S. side into Canada on foot, illegally during 2022. We don't want to mess with our relationship, man, don't go there!!

Indians can't integrate into Canadian lifestyle and ethics. They do not want to integrate and blend into society with harmony. They think they are better and smarter. The reality is that they aren't. They are just average joe like 99% of the world population. On top, they are the cheaters, scammers and liars. They think being a cheater means being smart. This is why majority of Canadians have negative opinion about them. I lived with them for 5 years. I have at least tried to understand. I couldn't. I learned all above in 5 years. I have seen that they bribed driving test examiners, lied police. I have seen that they cheated banks, credit card companies and CRA as well. They harassed people by calling their personal phone numbers to sell service. I have also seen that they have cheated TTC, YRT by not paying their very reasonable 3-4 dollars fare. I have seen that they did committed insurance fraud. I have seen that they stole grocery from department stores. They speed, disobeys traffic rules and more.\n\nThey are also financially frustrated and feel homesick. This is the main reason. They are suffering here and stressed.\n\n\nIt is not racism. It is a behavioral reaction. This will not stop.

I am disappointed with this video. The problems mentioned here are in USA and UK as well. We form opinions based on our experiences. I have no complaints against Healthcare as I was operated in few hours in emergency and never had to wait long for diagnostic tests. Education in Canada is affordable compared to US. Air and Food quality is great. People are extremely friendly. Yes, the housing crisis is there especially post Covid but hoping the market will correct gradually. In my experience, every country has pros n cons and one needs to make a choice between their home country and Canada comparing both based on one's priorities and preferences.Canada changed our lives in so many good ways and my whole family appreciates it. Canada is ovetall a nice country. And it's not easy to get PR. If you get , it's luck n hardships to settle in any new country.

I tried to emigrate for years to Canada. I speak 9 languages, C1 (IELTS) and graduated as a French teacher in Albania and later Switzerland. Have a work experience in my field and are with my husband and child law abiding citizens. We tried for years and between IELTS tests and Credentials assessment it took a good chunk of our finances, yet we weren't deemed to be enough to emigrate to Canada. Even raised my child bilingual in English Albanian so she could adjust better and integrate. What kind of policies are these that repel people that are willing to integrate, that try to come there legally and respecting your laws and immigration programs and open the door to law breakers? I just wanted a simple life and a teaching job while holding the utmost respect for the people and the country. All this thing makes me sad, but also makes me feel stupid for wanting to do things legally or that i believed Canada was a country where law was respected.

(US citizen) When our beloved friends to the north, the Canadians, are mad, the world is teetering on the edge. I'm not even joking. We *better* pay attention. \nEurope is having immigration issues and even the Nordic countries are getting hostile. I don't totally blame the immigrants, they are wanting to leave a terrible environment, but the host government should set the tone. They should screen applicants, set limits, and have assimilation rules such as being tested for the native language, having the new people take history courses of the host country, etc. \nFor many reasons, much of the planet is becoming harsh to live in --- drought, genocide, employment, war, etc. It is going to continually get worse, and nobody has a legit, big picture plan to improve things. \nAnd this only deals with one issue, but there are MANY. We should be alarmed. Panic is one mis-step away.

Do a literacy and language test of all the graduates. Colleges who pass too many failed graduates should be closed.
