I know PM Justin Trudeau has had his critics but he is far more of a statesman than Trump or Vance could ever wish to be! Their actions are tantamount to treason and the great American citizens are being thrown under the bus.

DEAR PRIME MINISTER TRUDEAU, I AGREE THAT THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT HAS NOT BEEN FAIR TO ITS ALLIEDS AND TRADING PARTNERS AND THAT WE HAVE TO ACT IMMEDIATELY AGAINST THE UNITED STATES. \n\nI HAVE TO SAY, I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY CANADA OR EUROPE EVER TRUST THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT HAVING SOME CONTINGENCY PLAN, KNOWING THE KIND OF TRAITOROUS MENTALITY AMERICAN GOVERNMENTS HAVE ALWAYS HAD, THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT THEIR POCKETS AND MAKING MONEY AT THE EXPENSE OF THE WEAK AND THE GULLIBLE COMMERCIAL AND POLITICAL PARTNER. \n\nONE THING I DISAGREE....., THAT IS CALLING THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT MURDEROUS, WHEN IN FACT IT WAS NATO AND ITS BRIGHT IDEA OF ANNEXATION OF UKRAINE TO NATO KNOWING THAT THEY WOULD BE BREAKING AGREEMENTS ESTABLISHED DURING THE COLD WAR OF NO PROLIFERATION OF NATO, IN FACT, NATO STARTED BREAKING THAT PACT WHEN IT ANNEXED FINLAND AND ESTONIA. RUSSIA KEPT QUIET, BUT NOW NATO TRIES TO ANNEX UKRAINE, THAT WAS THE LAST STRAW FOR RUSSIA, BESIDES THE BLATAN MISTREATMENT OF RUSSIAN-UKRAINIANS BY THE UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT. \n\nNATO USES DEMOCRACY AS A PUNCH LINE, WHEN WE ALL KNOW THIS IS A DIRTY WAR FUELLED BY ECONOMIC INTERESTS AND GREED!\n\nMR. PRIME MINISTER, DO YOU KNOW WHO THE MURDERER IS?.....IT'S MR. ZELENSKY WHO HAS ANNIHILATED THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF ITS OWN PEOPLE, UKRAINIANS WHO WERE USED AS CANNON FODDER....AND NATO THE INSTIGATORS OF THIS WAR.\n\nTHE WORLD CANNOT BE THAT BLIND TO NOT SEE IT!!!

I come from a long line of Canadian’s, I’m not a fan of Trudeau but I have to say he made me proud today standing up to the school yard bully. I know most Americans don’t support what Trump is doing because as Canadian and Americans we are decent hard working people who don’t need a government that doesn’t speak for the people God bless us all the world needs to find a way for peace our children and grandchildren deserve better.

Do Americans understand what will happen if Mexico and Canada unite to organize a boycott against America? Do Americans realize their president is acting as a proxy for the Russian government? What more do people need to know to realize that their president is a Russian operative.

As an American, we don’t want this either. I don’t understand what and why to be honest. All I know was in November 2024 I woke up to the worst feeling I have ever had. First time woke up ashamed and shame and fear to live in the United States. I never in my 60 years thought that hatred hiding behind Christianity would prevail. More than half of us DID NOT vote for him, and those that did likely had no idea what tariffs were or certainly didn’t understand how they work. Though I didn’t vote for him, I am so embarrassed and I am so sorry to the entire world for the horrible decision so many people in my country have made.

All sane Americans know this isn't about tariffs, it is about separating the US from its allies, lining his pockets with the collected tariffs while simultaneously weakening and destroying the US from within as a service to Putin.

Our country is getting closer to isolationism, and it isn't good if we want inflation and prices to go down. History has shown us what happened to our country when we were isolated, and it brought economic devastation throughout the country. I hope that it isn't severe, but I predict that our president, and the Republican Party that controls the legislature and the Supreme Court will definitely cripple the economy, and will find a way to blame the party, where they are not in control.

If you understand what you have done and realize the implications, then peacefully protest (if that is still allowed with your evolving fascist/populist/authoritarian government). Contact your local, state/territorial and federal government officials. You can let your governors, senators and representatives know that you do not agree with the government’s actions and the subsequent hardship it will impose not only on the world but on you, your family and neighbours. Make change happen in a peaceful, non violent manner, while you still can. Canadian here. My husband and I listen at you here on CNN Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and we couldn't be more proud of you and your team. You say intelligent words right from the start and you deliver a strong message in a very strong manner, beginning with this: the US is declaring economic war on Canada, as well as strong arguments, and that fentanyl is just a pretext, which we all already know, that getting closer to Russia and cutting ties with its allies is Donald Trump's current course of action, and the fair question to ask is why is this man putting himself at the service of the Kremlin which is totally unnatural for an American.?

Today, I heard a true North American leader who very aptly described the situation leading up to these silly tariffs, the actions his country took to avoid the tariffs. P.M. Trudeau openly spoke of the changes that the wannabe Orange Julius threatened and why the U.S. wasn't being realistic. \n\nI know some people criticized the Prime Minister recently, but you have a great politician who is actually defending his country!!!
