We don’t like our own people if they look different and we expect a whole race of people like us.

The skilled professionals that I know who lived there all moved, saying that people there are so racist and obnoxious. When I have had some short holiday trips to places like Berlin, I did not experience any racism at all but going on a city trip for short times is different from living somewhere.

Honestly reading these comments & watching this video, I am proud to be from the USA... We truly give everyone a chance, everyone is welcome. All languages, colors, religions... it's funny how the media tries to make the U.S. sound racist. It is the most diverse in the world. Europeans love to act like they are supreme.... but in the end they are mostly all Nationalist & racist in their own ways. When I went to school in Germany, it was always funny how people had to make you remember you were American... in the U.S. we don't care.... we celebrate & are interested in your differences.

This is one of the worst journalism I have come across in recent times. The host is highly opinionated with little to no research at all. The host chose to interview some homeless people roaming around the church for opinions about the immigration. These people choose to become addicted to drugs, which led to become homeless. The host is standing right in front of the city of Brampton office but won’t make a small effort to interview the officials. There should be some kind of credibility to all those people who talking about immigration issues. The host uses terms like monkey man to refer to a Hindu god. This shows how much he is under researched, racist and most of all uneducated. Those Indian kids in the video appeared much composed and decent compared to any of the pot heads you interviewed. \n\nWith such a host quality I don’t think any officials would even give him the time to interview.

I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. I love the fact that you spoke some harsh truths here sir, much respect to you and your family sir. I hope you can continue making such informative videos for people to learn from. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. There is one other reason that hatred towards member of your country is going up and it is simply because our hatred for our own government is so high right now and we are all only human. Then that same government will labels us as right wing extremists simply for the fact that we no longer support our current government for example. Canadians are more angry now than they have ever been. The RCMP have been advised about this across the whole of Canada, so you know it is a real issue. I can control myself and will never snap at others due to how frustrated I am, so I would like to apologize to those of you that may have a bad experience with another frustrated Canadian. Europeans are funny many of them fear being what they are the minority in the sea of people of color which is the truth and what about how they go to places like India colonize and cause issues there? Maybe if the racist leave everyone lone they can have no worries. People from India are racists too…note when an Indian person becomes a manager at a business, no other race is hired for a job at that place any more…they treat tenants in their rentals like 3rd class citizens, get students thru the student housing programs and then use them as personal slaves… just speaking from experience. This once beautiful community was completely invaded.\n\nSo much for immigrants who immigrate to Canada that do not understand how Canada works and frankly don't care, There is no education program to help integrate such people to be multicultural , unfortunately this happened with the old Europeans as well as little Italy, and other areas where other European took over little areas of Toronto. \n\nHowever I think Brampton, and Surrey/North Delta/Richmond BC. Is far far worse and much more invaded by people not wanting to truly integrate in Canadian society. I'm from sauble beach they have been pooping on the beach for 10 years now. 7 years ago they slaughtered a goat on the beach and buried it in the sand. Ecoli never used to be a problem on the beaches and now it's more common sometimes they even have to close off swimming for extend periods of time. We aren't racist. The immigration file has been completely botched and mishandled by an inept and very stupid government. Mass immigration without a plan for increased housing, medical staff, infrastructure help, or even increased staff at immigration centres, etc. is madness, and chaos has ensued. I studied in India for several years, and was careful to respect Indian culture vis a vis dress codes, learning Hindi, and behaviour. It is only normal courtesy to do so. It becomes more difficult when numbers increase drastically over a v. short period of time since people coming here are not widely exposed to Canadian culture. This completely inept and corrupt government needs to go: like yesterday. I think of myself as anti-racist, but when I go for a medical test and see that 95% of patients appear to be of middle-eastern origin, while I haven't been able to find a family doctor for 10 years, I do get a little irritated. And I'm a boomer; younger people in Canada are competing for education, jobs, housing, as well as medical care, so I can understand people becoming angry. I think that currently this backlash is against the government, not immigrants, and not one community in particular. I am cynical enough to think that this government went for mass immigration because they have no economic plan for prosperity, and bringing in several millions would raise GDP. But percapita GNP has been falling for 8 quarters, so we are definitely in a recession. I think Trudeau did this so his economic incompetence would not be obvious. Anyway, that's my appeal: we should be upset at a government that caused this chaos, not at individual immigrants nor a specific community.

I have many friends who are 3rd generation Indians who speak the language and know the culture just as i do.\nThey do not try to turn Canada into india, and in turn they are accepted and respected by all.\nThe young indian students coming to Canada have been exploited in india by promoting a back door into PR status through the international student program and in Canada by employers who take advantage of their fear of deportation.\nThe blame lies on the recruiting in India, the post seconday system in Canada, the employers like Tim Hortons, uber, skip the dishes and door dash who put profits over living standards.\n The majority of the blame goes to the govt of Canada for turning a blind eye to something that everyone saw but didnt talk about for fear of being labeled a racist.\nReturn immigration to 500,000 per year including refugees, students seeking to stay and all other groups and you will see all will go back to how it was 10 years ago.\nPeace and love.

My family moved to brampton in 2000 from India. I was born here. I am in a place in my life right now, where I am racist to my own ethnicity because I feel like they ruined my beautiful flower town. Too many Indians and now due this correct decision by the government, Indians now play the race card to TRY to reverse the decision. I have to say it’s about time Canada does something for its own citizens instead of overpopulating our country with one nationality. They can’t find work everywhere you go you’re in every store. You don’t see no other culture. You don’t see no other culture taking a dump on the beach, where people are enjoying it. They have made insurance so high because of their driving they U-turn when they feel like they run red lights they drive on sidewalks when they’re not supposed to they have cars coming out of residential parks and they’re driving on the sidewalk. Oh my list is so long and nobody does anything about it, going for a walk with your family and they don’t wanna move out the way they follow they always impact they wanna come into workplace and speak their language and they wanna carry their knives like what? When does other Canadians have other rights over these Indians, they feel that because they’re so much that they can overpower people because of that not me. And when they put men in supervisor or manager rules, they be little woman. This is a woman it’s whirl and everything is equal a man’s job. A woman can do it probably most likely even better.
