I really wanna go Canada to teach English subject soon ..I'm a graduating college student taking course Bachelor secondary education major in English here in the Philippines

My gf is suffering in centennial college and she is employeee in tim Hortons i had warned her about Canada but she refused my advice and now she says iam suffering here daily\nSo moral of the story is \nYour dreams should be practical\nAnd fr those of you planning to go to Canada think a 100 times before going \nThinkof your parents \nMy honest suggestion would be that \nIndia is a great country\nPls don leave India .\nPeople have achieved greatness in India itself \nYour dreams can be achieved in India pls reconsider my advice \nThank you

These are called private institutes! Not even local students enrol into these! It’s government faults that student visa are approved such institutes ! These are unrecognized colleges ! Better go to university or recognized community colleges!

This is a clear bullshit by the indians. India has the best of schools and colleges but still indian people want foreign eduction. these fools should be taught the things in a tough way otherwise it wont go in their thick head

I can complete my graduation with $30 in india why go to other countries,most of children go to other countries for study from india just want to settle in those countries except those students who goes premier college of that country

International students bring in 5 billion in revenue which the govt wont let go easily unless it have a replacing plan.Most of the Colleges are just here to issue visa and collect fees,Govt is at fault and so are people who are working off the record.

Don’t understand why students want to go to Canada especially to low quality colleges with lower caliber students. There are better standard colleges in their country.

immigration drives the economy. $1000 or more is the application fee mom refundable. White people are racist blaming immigrants on economic and housing problems. That's why there is a 25 per cent tax on non landed immigrants buying houses. Each dollar a person spends created $7 in the Canadian economy. You do the math. 500,000 times $1000 times $7. That is $35,000,000,000. billion. Just the application fee generates how much money in Canada. This does not include the people who applied and not allowed in. It is non refunable. This does include how much money generated by New immigrants spending money. New immigrants are what drives the economy with whatever money they bring here and spend buying cars, furniture, basic necessities and if possible houses or condos. Canada has a declining birth rate. What jobs is this guy talking about? Do a job search. There is no manufacturing in Canada. If any are kept in North America will go to Mexico. White people blame China where people are willing to work hard for less and no union formation or complaints. He does not mention the fees visa students pay which is 5 times Canadian Students pay at university or college is used to offset Canadian students so they pay low tuition fees. Knowing the real reason Canada needs visa and immigrants and how much money it generates just by the application fee, immigrants and visa students don't owe Canada nothing and other countries should adopt the same strategy to attract immigrants. Unfortunately the majority of Canadians are English, Scottish, and Irish which are racist blaming Canada's economic and job problems on immigrants. The majority think they are entitled and ignorant and arrogant. That's why they are called mange cake and Malakas and other names by immigrant groups. That is why you have China towns, Greek towns, Italian, Portuguese, INDIA , Jewish and other ethnic towns and ethnic communities don't visit small white towns or move to other provinces. Canada clean up your problem.

It's better for students to apply in good gov college or uni after doing research rather than going to any shady or private college ?‍?

Shame of this shady colleges but really one would think that if you going to study abroad and spend a lot of money on it you would do some research on the school you want to go and program you want to study

It's very clear now! COLLEGE IS A SCAM! Don't go to college until you really need to, and until you have a 100% job guarantee for what you are studying.

I do not understand only one thing and thats the Indian people obsession with Canada and USA, I mean going there and letting your parents pay huge amounts of money and selling their lands and breaking their back for your school fees to enter some low level college or university and in the end not even sure if you will succeed. Instead you can go to Europe ( a lot of countries to choose from ) much cheaper or even free in some countries, all you have to do is learn the language (for it to be free) you can have a good life, cheaper and safer than US or Canada and after you graduate you can get a good job with good pay, even get permanent residence or citizenship.But still 99 percent of Indians wanna move to US OR Canada,UK aswell and in some cases Australia.

If u r getting admission in public colleges go for it but before enrolling in career colleges think twice and check placement data.

Just do one thing, limit number of international students to 60% - 70% in every college. And college cannot be started if rest 30% - 40% of seats for domestic students is not filled first. If any college wants to go for international students only, then their admission process/audit should go through Canadian government. So there is no exploitation of international students.

There are many colleges and universities in India, why not go there.

Indians students should go to Canada’s recognized universities only. These A, B, C colleges are too useless.

I would like to thank CBC Fifth Estate for their initiative to uncover the trauma these students go through. This is only one cornerstone of the story. Fifth Estate need to dig deeper and come up with part 2 to look in to our Federal Government policy regarding issuing Student Visa from India. Why these so called for profit colleges / agencies only targeting students from India and not from any other countries ? The Student VISA process is different for students from other countries. It’s our government who is exploiting these students and playing with their hopes and dreams.

i am an indian and i dont understand why some indian families particularly in punjab and andhra region are soo obsessed with sending there kids outside for education ??? it has little value in india unless it is an IB league college .. someone going to canada to study commerce or a BSc is very stupid . Finish your graduation in india and give exams for masters . go abroad only if you have a certain good score otherwise it is of no use .

Well, if u don't get into an actual university, \nUofT, Waterloo, McMaster etc...\nDont go to international private college.. its a scam. Ive seen Canadians (non first gen immigrants) go to these fake schools and not get anything valuable. There's so many fake schools. CANADA HAS FAKE SCHOOLS period. Its not just international students, its also born and raised canadians, struggling to pay the loans after fake useless diplomas.

I spent 6 years in university and 7 years in college after that. \nI had absolutely no idea this was going on. I also didn’t really understand why international students had to pay such a high tuition fee. As a domestic student, I already struggled to pay my tuition fees.

I am planning to go to Canada next year, I have done my research, and there are some good colleges in Canada like Durham, Humber, George Brown, and Algonquin but after watching this I am skeptical. \n\nFeels like dropping the plan and doing a master's in the UK and coming back to home.

Research more before you pay tuition to these bogus colleges. No Canadian borns go to them. That should have been a red flag. These students are getting ripped off by their own people.

Canada just relaxed the rules further, this is only going to worsen the situation of these students getting exploited more. By both these unscrupulous colleges(which the AG of Ontario should investigae) as well as employers. But what do we care we now have thousands of minimum wage workers who will fill jobs that Canadians don't want. Like someone said on the program. We will look at this in 10-15 years as a scar and a form of shameless exploitation.

It's sad students come here and enroll in these no name colleges that aren't aby good..... university and a real college is the way to go not these Sprott shaw, or carnival college. Stay away...

No one should go through agencies. There is OUAC / education planner for BC region and direct uni/ college sites. Make sure that those that you apply to are on DLI list and have PGWP or coop in their programs.

so why cant the potential students apply to a first rate college?!? alittle confused on this. is it cheaper to go to another second rate college?

The work life balance is awful . I an now 43 years old and I spent so many weekends in my 20s and 30s working to get ahead and now that my youth has passed me by I wish I had more of my youthful weekends to myself.. now I am in a position where I don't have go work on weekends near as much but find myself with nothing to do on weekends and at 43 the time for partying and the down town bar \n scene has passed my be and most people my age ar not into that anymore and truth be told it's not all the appealing to me anymore either and I live in a city where partying and the down town bar science is the only thing there is here. It's very much an east coast port city/college town \nPost colonia city it's great for tourists College Students and young working people but once you pass the age of 35 it gets really boring when I was younger and wanted to spend all of my free time partying and going to house parties and hitting the bar scene I thought I lived in the greatest place on earth now that I am on my 40s I am bored stiff and other then going out for my daily walks for exercise when I am not working I spend most of time at home reading watching you tube or listening to my record collection all of which I really enjoy but I do miss my Youthfull socializing but 43 years don't belong in night clubs with people half their age and nor would it feel appropriate doing so . I miss being 25 and at the club and wish I had done more it instead of spending so many Friday and Saturday nights at the ship building factory.

I'm encouraging my grand niece who is in high school in the states to go to Canada for college and become a Canadian citizen. As a young black women, living in this society in the U.S. will be getting tougher to.live in.\nSince we live in Michigan, visiting family will be realitively easy.

You are right ladies , I’ve been living here for 4 years , the health care system is messed up, you have to wait several months or over a year to get an appointment with a specialist, taxes are very very high , you need to have 2 jobs to be able to pay for expenses , I was in college our teacher told us ( we were like 30 students ( his kids were born and raised and Canada and they moved to England and get a better job $$$ and they left , the teacher at the end told us become citizens and go …… to USA , I have 2 jobs and I’m paying taxes like a crazy , I can’t handle that anymore is affecting my mental health

You need taxes for your hospitals, rads, defence etc. The health care problem is not unoque to Canada. We also have it in the UK. The healthcare system is much much better than in the USA and better than in West Africa. Cost of living is high everywhere. You don't look homeless. Try living in the USA. Go back to college and get a better qualification and earn more. In the USA you are more likely to be shot than in Canada. Go back to University and get a good degree or try Nigeria or Ghana. In Africayou have communities e.g Indian community, Lebanese community Yoruba community, Ga community. Common girls, be real

Don't go for agents. The process is quite simple and they will send you to colleges they have connections with, instead of what you actually deserve.

Tysm for this video I want to ask that should I apply now visa I have just given my IELTS and completed 12th. Many people are saying that visa are getting refused and embassy's are not giving visa as already 27lakh files are pending and Jan intake is almost closed as all colleges are booked and one consultant was saying that there is the possibility of may intake I want to go Manitoba or Alberta since pr will be easier for +2 students. Pls guide that should I apply as soon as possible or wait and take admission here in college for BA to avoid the gap? pls reply it would be really helpful for me

Going thorough the NOC list, I find matching in lists which require College degree as well as University degree. Shall I first do an ECA to find if I am college equivalent in Canada OR University ? Is it possible that I am rejected because in my EE profile I write University-qualification NOC but I am only college qualified .Can I be rejected for vice versa ( I am univeristy qualified and mention a college-qualification NOC) ?

Is there any good chance for EE or I should go with PNP directly. If yes then suggest the best province based on my occupation. I came to America when I was 22 .. student life was fun because you have lot of friends I studied in Pennsylvania and in California.. but right after college I lived in a state called Delaware for almost 4 months.. some of the most depressing times of my life .. I experienced everything you said in your video.. at 24 I didn't have a job yet because 2008 happened and so I didn't have a car .. most of the time I am stuck in the apartment studying.. I was so desperate to even see people .. the only place I used to become happy by seeing people is when I go to the mall .. 6 o clock in the evening you don't see anyone in the apartments .. it used to be like ghost town .. I ran away from that place the first opportunity I got ..no matter how much money someone offers I am never going back to Wilmington Delaware
