As an American, I’m deeply sorry for what we’ve become by electing this orange idiot into the White House. I stand with Canada, Mexico, Ukraine, and the rest of our global allies in opposition to our “president’s” bent to authoritarianism and isolationism. I truly hope that we can course correct before we (globallly) plunge into something much darker. \n\nKudos to prime minister Trudeau and other leaders speaking truth and calling the situation we’re now in for what it is.

It is no longer a secret. President Donald Trump is a Russian Asset. He's openly destroying American Allies and closest friends while getting extremely close to Russia. Canada is America's closest ally, neighbour, and trading partner, and this is how you're going to treat them. This is not anti-American, it is just fighting back from an unnecessary trade war. It does however break my heart because many Canadians have family on the U.S. side. I know it would also break my father’s heart as he grew up in New England and had a lifetime affection for the U.S. I despise politics and have not been a proud Canadian for a few years but I have to admit that this speech is getting me going again. Canada needs to get its act together and rebuild its military, not to fend off the U.S. but to hold its own should other countries decide we are ripe for the picking. I want U.S.-Canada relations to be tight again. We’re neighbor. We will have our disagreements and that’s fine but these trade wars will hurt everyone and, if it lasts, may leave lasting grievances.

Every country should be responsible for their own goods. The day we start relying on other countries for what we need we're in a heck of a mess. Because China couldn't get our merchandise to our plant we had to shut down for almost a month. We messed up sending some of our work to China. After this we got everything in the US. Cheaper prices are not the solution. Cheaper labor is not the answer.
