Canada's Cost of living is Joke compares to here in Sri lanka an Average Srilankan Salary is 200$ per month but 1 liter petrol cost more than 1$ imagine how hard it is live here in Sri lanka not only that we import 90% things foreign Countries so Food,Electronics, etc are unimaginably Expensive for example our Government is adding 300% Tax for Vehicles .even though I'm earning 6000$ per month its still not enough for my needs I have to pay like 60000$ to get Canadian Visa But I don't wanna disrespected by some Racist scumbags I'll do anything against people who disrespected me untill they say sorry to me because to me Respect is Everything in My country we Respect Every one we still have Scumbag Human being they are like less than 1% . your Information is very useful for me I'll never come to Canada I was ready to get the Canadian Visa thank you for saving me

Tips when moving countries:\nNature wins - if you are from Africa, why would you move to Canada???\nCanada is COLD - in Africa you never dealt with snow, ice, blizzards - meanwhile in Canada, 6 months WINTER hhahaha your body is not accustomed to such conditions, human races are different because of thousands of years living in certain climates - NOT AS IN THE BIBLE WHERE THEY SAY WE CAN DO WHATEVER WE WANT ON THE PLANET - WRONG! so this recent phenomena of moving countries is having also psycologicall downsides, such as racism, different cultures, not being able to fit in/not accepted by the natives etc as our brains are not designed for changing tribes, it is still as thousands of years ago, our brains operate in such way, that those childhood friends you had in your home country - YOU WILL NEVER HAVE THEM AGAIN ELSEWHERE. \nSo at first you may enjoy a new place, it as something new, but long term - NOT GOOD.\n\nTherefore when you move countries, you always move EAST or WEST, as you stay on similar altitude, the climate will be same/similar and likely the people will be also be similar/similar culture.\n\nYou never move NORTH or SOUTH, as everything will be DIFFERENT - climate, people, way of life - it will crush you! NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT THE END.

Hey. It all about choice. So let’s get it straight. The people who worked hard to build and develop Canada over the last 200 Years and paid their taxes, that’s ok. You however, feel you shouldn’t have to pay your way like Canadians. If you love your Country and the lifestyle, why did you leave it? No one twisted your arm to leave your fantastic Country and and move to this awful nasty boring and expensive Country with such uninteresting people unfriendly people. Gee, perhaps Canadians should move to your Country and not need to work, no medical expenses, no tax, and everything free. No need to work, Fantastic! What country are you people from? Hey, move to the USA by all means please and take your friends with you, so you will be one big happy group. Gee the Americans shall welcome you with open arms. As the saying goes, if you don’t appreciate what Canada has given you, that fine, just leave ASAP and be happy wherever you want to go! Actually, I have never heard such garbage from two thankless persons in my life. Again it’s a case of the minority spoiling it for the many Immigrants from all over the world who LOVE CANADA AND APPRECIATE THE OPPORTUNITY CANADA HAS GIVEN THEM. They worked hard to build a life for themselves and their Family. Many of them became wealthy financially and in a personal sense and never expected the Government or anyone to give them a free hand. These people make Canada what it is in spite of people like you. So, leave now and make room for someone else who what’s the opportunity to live in Canada and shall appreciate it. Ho by the way, just remember to leave your Passport here and renounce your Canadian Citizenship, which you obviously do not respect or value. We Canadians shall wish you every success wherever you decide to live. I promise you that I shall never move to your Country and expect a free cup of coffee, never mind a free lunch. One of the top issues is being black. Seen as black and identified as black when you leave a predominantly Black Country. \nWhen I watch the various Realestate shows of white people buying property abroad as second home or just packing up and moving. I always say it must be nice! Because the reality is they can see them self almost everywhere unless they choose to go into a remote area then that’s the only exception but even then as long they learn the language and respect the culture they are good they are liked welcomed and even seen as fascinating. Not saying they don’t have to struggle but the colour of their skin is the least! \nAmerica is great if your trying to be self made, be your own business owner, and other random ventures you want to dabble in. But to just go there and be a regular teacher, doctor, lawyer, engineer to the low and middle class you’ll end up with the same financial issues and struggles as a result. You gotta now cater to the rich and famous wealthy people but then it’s back to never being home and not enough time for family. \nThe reality is if we could make the money we make here in North America and Uk back home in in the Caribbean and specific countries in Africa it would be a dream come true and that goes for other communist countries too. You truly have to know what makes you happy. Make money but enjoy life it might mean living below your means even though you can can afford a bit better life style. People do it all the time back home (not because they want to I know) but for some reason when you move abroad a one bedroom for your single self is to small, the car under $24k isn’t good enough, you don’t want your kids to share a room so you need a bigger house and the list goes on and on. \nCanada is boring if your not in a major city with money to spend you know why? Because people forget the population of the entire country of Canada is only a 3rd, 4th, 10th of the population of certain countries that immigrants came from and in the case of the US population it’s 100x more than Canada. So of course there’s more opportunities there. \nAnd finally imagine if more countries didn’t need visas to travel? They really would just come to make money and go back home or live bicoastal. Even just the freedom of travel half of the immigrants would of settled elsewhere before the year was up or go back home.

I find the healthcare observation strange. There have been several reports over the last 10 years up to 2019 at least saying the US of healthcare is unexplainably higher than in Canada. The cost of medication especially has been blamed. Months waiting for emergency treatment is lamentable but knowing that everyone else is subject to the same wait no matter who you are is really impressive. Congrats to Canada. Where else does that happen? I live in Guyana. Never wanted to live in any developed country. Never applied. Seeing them from a safe distance is all I need.

I couldn't agree with you more. Canada has become another one of those mindless Totalitarian states like American China, Russia, etc., etc. I spent 10 years in China working as a teacher. I went there because I was fed up in my country and when I returned it was worse than when I left. As I am now 68, if I can afford to leave again I will and I'll never return again. I told the Chinese who knew me I was returning because I missed the land, but I never really missed the people. Now that I'm back, since Jan. 2022, I want to leave again and I will and Never return. Health care in this country is in the Sh*t-house, it's impossible to get a family Dr. In part I returned for medical reasons, but now would rather die than have to deal the the Canadian medical bureaucracy - REALLY !!! So, trust me when I say I both understand you and agree with you.\nCanada has become a Sh*t-Hole treating both immigrants and Canadians like sh*t. I'll be glad to go once I can. North America, because of Canada and the US are going to hell in a hand basket. Both countries are FCUKed and I don't want to be a party to their descent into hell. The End.

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Eight reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to Asia. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same thing. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada, not live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too expensive, too cold, too depressing, very high taxes, no jobs, xenophobic people . . . a horrible place.

Canada, country of homeless and trash. I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. Canadian and Canada Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Korea. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian, Indonesian, or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beaches in Canada. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country.

Let's not forget the fact that houses are made with cardboard. I came from a 3rd world country and never had this issue surprisingly. But unless you have a detached house, you can hear everything your neighbors say and do - there's zero privacy. I'm surprised this is even legal honestly. This might be what I dislike most about Canada. I'm paying almost $2000 per month and still have to listen to neighbors get intimate, argue, play music and everything else. Houses are built very cheaply here.

I lived in Canada for 15 years and this rang true more & more as the years went on, I would never order food online as I needed an excuse to leave the house. At 49 I found myself pondering what to do with my life, I went on vacation to Thailand and the first thing that struck me was the openness and friendliness of the place. People sit in the front of their house with the doors open and everybody is welcome to say hi, of course there are exceptions. I now live in Thailand with my new wife in a small village, our doors are never locked, family comes, neighbours come, kids play, everybody is welcome anytime. Such a better way to live. My experience about Canada after living here for a few years now: \n1): Healthcare: There are two sides of it. If you need a specialist, forget about it, just live with your disease or problems and hope it will cure itself and won’t get worse. If you are in a life threatening condition and need a surgery, you’ll get it and the medical bill won’t scare you. I needed a dermatologist, never got one, eventually had to fly to the US for a simple treatment. \n2): Taxes: You’ll pay extra to take care of the large aging population of Canada and to maintain the infrastructure in the extreme cold weather. But, you can make a good use of your RRSP and TFSA accounts, and you can also buy American stocks without paying taxes. \n3): Travel and transportation: Forget about public transportation methods like buses and trains. You’re on your own. But a vehicle ownership isn’t very hard here. \n4): Social networking: Good luck with that. Good luck finding friends here or being a part of a friends group. Canadians are polite but not outgoing and extrovert. Most people make a few friends in Schools and College. You’re not going to see people of different races and origin hanging out with each other. \n5): Real estate: Population is growing, population is aging, it’s all happening but what’s not many houses are getting built. Buying your own house isn’t easy. If you’ve bought one, good luck with the energy prices. \n5): Landscape: It’s gorgeous out here, if you want to be happy in Canada, go out for sightseeing.\n6): Jobs: Totally depends in which jobs you can fit in and what previous experience you have. If you have previously done exactly what the job profile is asking for, for sure you can find a job.\n\nIn the end I would say, I have lived in many places, each come with their downsides, you have to see what works for you. There’s isn’t a perfect world really there isn’t. You have to take the bad with the good.

Your the only person who would rank NFLD that far back. Life and weather in NFLD is not what people exaggerate it to be. Plus Nova Scotia Weather is very comparable to NFLD obviously you've never visited Sydney or places along the South East Coast.\nThe say this province is more beautiful then another is STUPID Canada has distinct beauty in everyone. \nP. I agree with everything you have said in this video. I've lived in Canada for over 10 years and must admit, i don't feel at home here at all. I feel Canada is overrated for no reason. House prices are insane, it's almost impossible to buy housing in any big city in Canada anymore. I agree with a lot ppl, the healthcare system here is poorly managed, with long waiting hours if you have an emergency (personal experience). As someone living in a big city in Ontario, it feels like everyone is just busy chasing money. Nobody has time for friends, chilling, etc...Sometimes i feel i have to book an appointment with my own friends if i want them to hang out with them. As an immigrant myself, i must say I hate the mass-immigrant policy that the government is pushing. The neighbourhood i live in, has changed face/demographics so many times... Every group sticks to their own and it feels you'll never be able to adapt as it keeps changing so fast... I also don't like how Canada is pushing their far left agenda down the throat of everyone, with being Politically Correct, promoting LGBQT to underage kids (i don't have any issue with what ppl do in their bedroom, i just have issue with the promotion of it), minority this & that (even though im considered a minority myself). If you come from a middle income country, you'd soon realise Canada ain't so much better than where you come from esp if you have education, healthcare and jobs available. I'm only waiting to win that lotto max now, so i can just return back home and live a quiet peaceful life.

Pretty good Adam I'd just mention a few of those things are...I don't want to say inaccurate but way more diverse. For instance French. Yes Quebec is the only French province BUT New Brunswick is the only Bilingual province and basically half and half. This is good for things like federal of provincial services because by law they must provide service in both languages but not so basically everywhere else. The problem with this is you can have an almost completely English town almost nobody speaks French and drive 15 minutes and be in a town where nobody speaks English. Research on this might be hard because a town with a French name may not have any French people in and vise versa. Also this problem is multiplied in the fact that if you Do want a French area we don't speak standard French or Quebecois but instead Le Chiac which is a difficult and confusing mix of old French and english (almost exactly like the Cajun dialect). Second part of this is that Montreal is easy to live in if you don't speak French and is so multicultural you are just apt to hear Swahili as French in public. Last part is be very careful where you move on the prairies as they have may isolated towns some that speak French also. Next is tipping I've never had to tip anyone for a haircut outside of the military and all other forms of tipping here on the east coast are purely optional and wait staff don't get upset if you don't leave a tip unless you were a jerk or left them extra work like making a big mess (I worked as cook for a while after I got out of the army and I rarely ever head staff complain) HOWEVER....tip a waitress well and she might accidentally give you 2 pieces of pie lol and tip a taxi driver well and he will not only get you the cheapest fare he will find ANYTHING you may need no questions asked. Lastly on the nice thing....we are nice for sure especially compared to our southern neighbours BUT there is a lot of passive aggressive nice that happens and this also varies greatly. For instance as a city boy of course you answered the way you did but a guy who have lived all over this country in big and small, French and English places who now has retired to a rural town I can say I find the cities quite snobby and the French and the English can be quite snobby to each other and where I live now if you asked a random stranger for 5$ chances are you would get it also driving down the road people you don't know will just wave at you as if you were the closest friends. Canada is certainly a weird place so many extremes and my advice to anyone wanting to move here is do your research and then visit and travel a bit if possible because even us Canadians can be surprised by thing or two across this gigantic country

Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes,yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario.From my experience,most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.

I will be leaving Canada within a year or so after declaring non-residency and bring my business with me. My view is that Canada is a good place to live a normal life. Healthcare covers your peace of mind, even if the waitlist is long and bureaucratic. Social benefit is not as generous as people suggest sometimes (at least in Canada unless you're on actual welfare where you can't work but you can't rise your way up easily and you're forever stuck in 1.5k CAD/month... which would be ofc much better than other struggling countries but immigrants often aspire for greater things than that. \n\nEven though I was an Asian immigrant, I never faced significant racism afaik (I could be socially naive however), but there are definitely limitations of opportunities. It's not too difficult to find entry to intermediate jobs, at least for me but that's probably because I did schooling here in Canada. And I was able to network aggressively and learned to be an extrovert, so that also helped. But still, Canadian living cost is high (and I'm saying this from Calgary... imagine what it's like in Vancouver/Toronto). Is it doable? Ofc. 50-70k CAD/year is quite doable ESPECIALLY in Calgary, Alberta. But it'd be difficult to achieve financial independence and true wealth. This is true everywhere ofc but more so in Canada compared to, say, USA where living cost is lower and wage is higher with more opportunities. It's a great place to live normally. If you wanna become exceptional (wealth, customized goods and services, etc), it become harder and costs more. \n\nEven now when I now own business after struggling to get here over 10 years that generates income that I need to achieve financial freedom, tax becomes frightfully bad. Alberta (that imposes lowest tax rate compared to other Canadian provinces (not including territories for obvious reason) is comparable to California in USA that is among the highest in all US states. And let's be real; Alberta is nowhere close of being California. Imagine the taxes in BC/Ontario shiver. \n\nOnce my tax rate becomes high enough to justify moving, I will pull the trigger. Still window-shopping where I wanna go and I have some lists but it's gonna happen especially as Canada will have to deal with their struggling economy, further distancing from US and their government mismanagement that continues to cost the society. I will not have any part in it. I may come back once in a while for visit or potentially retire depending on what the future looks like but right now, I just don't see my longterm future here.

I would agree to certain extent to what they are saying, every country has their negative side and i feel the this video is too negative for Canada. From a perspective of an Indian, if anyone is coming from India, all this will not bother any Indian because taxes are more in India and there is no healthcare. If the country is expensive, there are decent wages and atleast we can buy houses. But in India a salaried person can never buy a house no matter how far they go from the city center. Canadian experience is a myth, from what i have seen most of the immigrants gets jobs in their field within 3-6 months. Only disadvantage is for the doctors, but rest of the international job experience is accepted in Canada. Having said that, do your own research before coming here.

Reason #1 racism- maybe you don't experience it but lots of other people experience it. Marginalized etc.\nI was a journeyman electrician back home I move to Canada I applied for jobs and philisity the lady at the desk said to me you are black, you will never get job here exact words.\nStruggle throughout the years went back to school got a mechanical license and first week on the job I was fired for no reason with no explanation so all I'm saying is for some races things is easier.

a lot can be said about your narrative. you failed to mention the age of immigration. That alone is THE single most important factor on the out come of the exercise . anyone over 40 should not immigrate. second the education and skill set you bring will be a major factor in the out come. Third there is systemic racism after a certain level which one can feel in very job. i strongly believe one should come to Canada, get top quality education and skill, work with top quality people/organizations which should not be more than 5-6 years, then go back home. the long term price of immigration is huge. This country needs hands to work and pay taxes so that their show should go on. The BANKS are the GOD of the land. one can never obtain financial freedom ever. heavily taxed with very poor social bonding even among the same ethnic groups. yes its good for people who do not make it in Pakistan or bring in ill gotten money\ni know so many ex police DMG and others groups who are absconders from Pakistan and living in Oakvill etc. in addition who says it is safe here or it is a corruption free society, ANY body with a second mortgage has got it with fake documents with the help of brokers, the banks , CRA and every body know about it but being a highly HONEST society no one dare say a word! i will not even go into the thing called debt. it is a night mare for the vaste majority. remember Canada is much bigger than GTA

You NEVER have Asian individuals or groups on TV in distress over racial inequality. Sure, we encounter it from time to time, but how often do we stand on our soap box and complain? We get up, work and work and reach to levels of success and integrate into society to our potential. Not in the need of social or economic assistance due to racial suppression, especially in Canada. I think it's easy to fall under the pretense that we don't succeed or have certain opportunities due to the colour of our skin - it happens - however, sometimes success comes from who we are and what we are capable of doing. I'm an immigrant from El Salvador, I got in Canada with refugee status. I'm not rich or have a wealthy family. I have lived in both US and Canada, I have been in Canada for a long time now and would never go to the US. I also live in Edmonton and it is not even close to anything like they say it is. For them to say it's cold why would you stay. I say it's better than getting framed by corrupt cops.

What I have noticed all my life living in Canada is Caucasians don't like hearing the truth about anything where they are feel they are being made to look like the villain, but the objective is not to make anyone feel like they're on trial but to start acknowledging that this is going on regardless of if you've ever experienced/seen it or not. The reason Caucasians don't see it is because of what they call White Privilege. Caucasians will never have to deal with the subtleties of racism that minorities face everyday because they will never be treated that way even in other countries they visit or live. Many Caucasians aren't aware that stereotyping is racism as you will notice them say the weirdest things and make really weird assumptions like calling a Korean woman Chinese or mistaking a Hindu or Sikh for someone Islamic, which you should never do. Cultural insensitivity happens here because many Caucasians don't care much to learn about another culture and because of this there's it's creating even more issues. The race problem is Canada is huge and people are trying to say that it isn't but in the coming years more and more evidence is going to come out to the point where it will be irrefutable and there will either be a reform or civil war.

Racism was far more prevalent in Canada decades ago. I remember hearing stories from my aunts and uncles about the types of things that would happen when they first arrived in the country. People would heckle and threaten visible minorities. \n\nBut I can say I have personally never experienced systemic racism in Canada. This country gave my family and I opportunity, safety and a just system. I was born and raised in Canada, and this is my home. This is the case with similar programs across Canada. One could argue Caucasian students are grossly underrepresented in this program. Originally this comment was like the size of a book talking about just some of the specific examples of Police and civilian racism I witnessed with my own Caucasian eyes in this country. I am extremely patriotic and I love being Canadian but I have been saying for years that we have problems when it comes to racism but no one here wants to even acknowledge it. Of course we're not as bad as our neighbors but at least they talk about it and seem to want to come to terms with their bigotry and institutionalized racism in society. We hear a great deal about racism, but never any comparative statistics that prove or disprove it. What I am trying to say is: is there any reason why this prejudice exists in the first place?\nIn Edmonton a few years ago an aboriginal man died of a stroke while waiting for triage in a hospital emergency area. IF I remember correctly, police and hospital staff alike assumed he was drunk, not suffering a stroke. I think the chances of someone in a downtown lower east side area being drunk is much higher than having a stroke. So staff just assumed he was drunk. \nIf more people of all ethnic backgrounds behaved more like whites would that suspicion disappear? I wonder if there is a logical and reasonable explanation for why shop keepers feel they way they do.

Hey Yes there is a problem of racism in Canada too. They will not show directly but indirectly will do that at most of the places. Its really rude especially when i try to help out somebody or don’t have any intentions to hurt people. I always try to make people happy and smile. Why is that? My parents came to Canada as teenagers, and they are non-European immigrants. The kindest and most compassionate people Ive ever met and im not saying that because im their son but because its true, im nothing like them anymore. Being born and raised in Canada I have NEVER felt like this is my home or that I belong/am welcomed here.

I'm not white, have lived in Canada for 40+ years, and I have never been been racially profiled or been a victim of any blatant racism. Even now, living outside the GTA where it's less diverse, I've yet to experience any issues. I'm not saying those issues don't exist, but the first step to overcoming those problems is to stop with your own victim mentality. Not everything is about race, but that's the always the scapegoat for many when they fail at life.

The problem with Canada is that it never developed a culture outside of “not being American” and the result is that their government has been allowed to grow to an enormous size and basically strangle all of the talent out of the country. Canada, despite the fact that it’s an English speaking country on the North American continent, is virtually nothing like America is any sense of the term, and actually has more in common with Scandinavia than it does with the country that borders it’s south.

Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat.
