Well, yeah, not me, but my neighbors, yeah, these people I'm supposedly equal to, yeah, I'm surprised only 25% would admit that in a poll, but then I remember that polls pretend the 95% of those they ask and refuse to take part don't exist.\n\nHonestly, you can keep your traditions in my opinion, as long as they aren't greasy or smelly.

What people don't understand is that you can't just start a process in any country unless you have and meet the grounds for starting a process. Each process has its own regulations. Example: For asylum to take place, you have to prove you have a well founded fear of persecution from your home country due to your race, religion, or political opinion. Most of the illegals claiming asylum base on economic hardship, or violence from local gangs, will not win an asylum case. Wanting a better life for your family is not considered valid grounds. The same with legal status: You have to first become a resident which means you have to be petitioned by an immediate family member ( A Parent or sibling with a legal status in the US). Depending who petitioned you, it can be a very lengthy process, up to 26 yrs if your sibling submitted the application! Process is much faster for spouses and kids of US Citizens. Only after several years as a legal resident can you apply for Citizenship. Spouses married to US Citizens is 3 yrs, IF you know english. If you don't you might have to wait till you are 65, when you qualify for the test to be in your native language, but only if you have been a resident more than 20 yrs and so forth. As you can see doing it legally, is a lengthy process, but all these caravans think they can just march in and let the countries accept them without going thru the process and it has caused major problems all the way around. That's why the laws must be enforced to eliminate these invasions!

I'm an immigrant, and here is my opinion: If something is illegal, then it should be prevented and fixed. If someone breaks the law, there must be consequences. If you don't like it and you want undocumented or illegal immigrants for any reason like economy or humanity, then change the law. But the law should always be abided by and enforced. You make a legal procedure and admit immigrants based on the needs of the country and the applicants' merits. And of course, some percentage for the refugees whose life is in danger.

This is a massive task and in my opinion impossible to achieve. Way more difficult than had the wall been built 40 years ago and proper controls been implemented. You can get it done now and that could lower illegal immigration to as close to zero as practically possible. But the 15+ millions unaccounted for are likely here to stay.

I'm very skeptical of the steps that our Government will take. I will only change my opinion when I have evidence of effective action. Remember that this government touted a budget with a $40 Billion deficit as being a fiscally responsible one. So many are crizizing having no idea how to to to a sane plan to reach their objective. People with little education or experience in this field have strong opinions based on their biases. I'd like to not cover non citizens with provincial health or social programs until they are citizens and working. I'd like anyone committing crimes and is a non citizen, jailed and then deported. We don't need new criminals or drains on our social programs. I think most new immigrants are good people, but why should we pay for the others.

We need people understanding the term racist or racist. And a note on diversity to respect boundaries opinions And put the quota on each country and a criminal record check and not a pardon waiver. And a contract to obey laws stating from gun threats abuse or involvement in gangs, being polite and not getting in gangs n fights. No dui. I know I shouldn't say this but every time I go to Calgary NE Costco, I feel like I was in another country. Many of them would randomly stop in a middle of moving traffic or cut into my path regardless of my existence... I feel I need to constantly dodge in order to avoid collisions. I am an immigrant too but I always observe my surroundings and try not to cause others to slow down because of me. If I need to take a break or stop, I park my cart in a non-busy spot... these should be common sense which is what the people are severely lacking in my opinion.

The same is happening in Germany. The worst is, that there is no one to talk about it. We had an amazing social system, which wasn't perfect, but surely working. Due to overregulation things are getting worse & worse. The carbon tax section is completely misinformed. 8/10 Households in Canada, and almost all households around median income gain more in carbon tax rebates than the price increases they pay. The median income households receive around $1000 CAD more than they pay in carbon tax-resulting price increases, and it's paid for by the pollutants that ruin our air, cause wildfires, abandon oil rigs and ruin our nature. Even if the households received less, the revenue from carbon tax is used on clean air incentives, and I think it's a pretty rational opinion to believe that I'd rather have pollutants paying for ruining our environment than doing it for free.
