Just asking how the indigenous people felt as a minority because of influx in f Europeans. And how does the Pakistan people assimilate by wearing hijab and demanding halal at every food joint. I don’t support illegal immigration of India or Africans. I don’t want to pay for people’s hotel room who came here on fake refugee status. But we shouldn’t only target only one community. Please check which community has more kids for ccb and comes as asylum to every western country. And the Indian students who came probably didn’t get a chance in Indian colleges.

As an indian, i am seeing this in Australia as well. We are indian immigrants, and i include all from South asia. We are too racist, dont assimilate ansld are self righteous. High time such people are sent back. They are a disgrace to image of Bharat as well.

Moved to downtown Toronto, Canada on June 5th, 1970. There was no indian grocery stores until a few years later, where a Mr. Sharma opened one of the very first stores. Growing up in the heart of downtown and going to school (Ossington and Old Orchard P.S.) wasn't easy. There was quite a bit of racism in those days so my sister and I had to assimilate quickly, in which we did. We happily lived within the Portuguese and Italian communities and the rest is history!!!!

You know, Brampton even before trudeau was becoming basically little India, and most Canadians just said whatever let them have it, we kinda accepted it. But after trudeau with mass immigration and them taking over other cities its when it became a little too much and started to take over canadian culture. I had a friend visit from the u.s for the very first time, and we did some sight seeing, you know going to places around ontario that tourists would check out, went to niagra falls for the first time in maybe 10 years man it changed. It was 90% Indian people. She noticed it right away but didnt say anything, i said a lot of indians huh? and she said yeah didnt think canada was like this. When you think Canada its always been mulicultural, you just think of all ethnicities and people of different cultures but at the end of the day everyone was Canadian and they assimilated. Now you dont think of a multicultural country you think of an indian country thats changing the canadian culture and way of life and not in a good way. Identity is being taken away and it needs to stop. Canada needs to take notes from Poland before its too late. Poland closed their doors and guess what? economy went up, crime rate went down, people are happier. Canada opened the doors, crime rate shot up, economy crashing, more homelessness then ever and so on. Not saying its specifically Indian people, its the amount coming in and how they adopt canadian culture but instead bring their culture and trye changing the country to fit them rather then fitting in with an already established country and culture.

I’m a recent Indian immigrant and I’ve lived in Singapore, Malaysia, the USA, and now Canada. I’ll admit that a lot of what’s said here is true: there are far too many cases where Indians abroad show a lack of civic sense, break rules, or behave in ways that don’t respect the host country.  Personally, my family and I have always assimilated wherever we’ve lived, respecting local customs, following rules, and contributing positively to the community and I hate it when immigrants don't assimilate into the local culture and reside in their own enclaves, I mean what was the point of emigrating then?? I truly value the peace and order these countries offer, and I want to give that back. Every community has good and bad examples. The responsibility is on us as immigrants to lead by example, integrate genuinely, and show that we can be respectful, responsible citizens. That’s how perceptions change for the better. It sucks that a whole racial group can be disliked because of some bad apples — and in our case, unfortunately, there are quite a few.

Its time Canada split apart, Just look at the electoral race maps, and their color coordinates, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan plus an alliance with Alaska can all be the conservative half of canada, the originalist half, and allow the easterners to be controlled by the slaaneshi surface dwelling weaklings of the east. Then we can kick out all the foreigners and invaders, every one who refuses to assimilate, and have our own elections, not run by dominion voting systems machines, and our own Politian's, not hand picked by ottawa, instead of being dragged further and further to the extreme alt left by the surface dwelling weaklings of the east and their disgusting ideas. 8:30 I am not really sure about what that bold guy says is entirely true. How can one drive an uber without a license. Uber and Lyft put you through a process before you drive. You can't operate on their app without being vetted and if he saw someone using someone else's uber he should report their ass ASAP. it's easier for European immigrants to assimilate because their culture is similiar! if you want to see white folks not assimilating just go to Asia and you'll see white folks who have lived there for 10-15 years and not even speak the local language! As an Indian, you Indians in parilament will have to add more diversity to school circulums. If you don't want to assimilate with white people, then fine but you'll at least have to advocate for indigenous languages to be pushed into Canadian schools.

You can tell the people "concerned" about Canada are straight up just hiding their racist agenda. Yes its hard to assimilate in a culture that is so vastly different from India, you can't blame the people. Large majority of them came here legally and frankly are stuck here because of the investments and loans they've taken to come to this country. There are so many people who are trying to make friends with other cultures especially white but they say they don't show as much love and openness as we do. I certainly don’t have any problems with most of these people on an individual level. However when the demographic radically change and there is not enough infrastructure to support people and assimilation is not happening it becomes a severe impediment to a flourishing nation.

Ok so Indians who came to Canada in 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s they tried to a assimilate but the whites never let them. They were racists, never gave them equal opportunities, always belittled them. The entire white western world is turning against non white immigrants. It is a cultural universal that all people wish to live within their own communities where they feel safe because they see their neighbours as their own kith and kin. People want to live among other people who have very similar behaviours and cultural values. White western culture has been very welcoming of non white immigration, but not to the extent that the whites feel that they are being diluted out of existence by the mass immigration of foreign minorities. Especially when those minorities have no intention of assimilating in in any way, are offensive towards the white population, and engage in serious criminal behaviour.

I also have to say that crime is way to high, and it's because of the immigrants, not all do crime but alot do, especially the east, they do sexual predation and other crime. If you come here, you need to assimilate to our culture and stop screaming racism if we don't accept your culture.

Im a Canadian and honestly I've NEVER had a problem finding a job, I don't even have my highschool... I think it has to do with *which* jobs they are applying for. I get that theres an "immigration" problem, the refusal to adapt and assimilate feels like a slap in the face especially when the same few will talk I'll of the same system they benefit from. HOWEVER I don't think it's good to lump all of these problems together and dump collective blame on immigrants. For 1, all this immigration and policies have happened under a liberal government and y'all voted then in, AGAIN. - clearly you're not THAT desperate for change. 2nd. Are the ones saying they can't find work willing to work in trades? General laborers making $25-$30+++ No experience required. Tradespeople are glad to teach people willing to work hard and learn.. What about warehouse work? Apply to your 5 closest warehouses, I guarantee youll get in 1.. ALSO the government IS willing to help Canadians get little certifications like forklift, smartserve, CPR.. Career colleges can help with training (e.g - computer) as well as soft skills. So yeah, I wonder if it's people being just as picky as they were when Canada wasn't in the economical shitter it is in rn? Maybe Im far luckier or fortunate than most? Maybe expectations are too high? Maybe some stubbornly refuse assistance they are entitled to? Im not sure, but I do sympathize/empathize with you guys, I hope you all can "get through". As an immigrant of Canada, I migrated here in 1999 when I was like 4 years old, I love Canada, and I consider myself Canadian, with a Jamaican background, I share my culture, but I assimilated to Canadian culture because this is where I live, my home, I want to be part of Canadian culture not too change it.

My husband is an immigrant (he's been a citizen for almost 3 decades) and we're both sick and tired of the mass immigration! He and his paremts assimilated when they moved here. And they got ZERO handouts!

Culture is a tricky thing. Is it not a known fact that one may not be all that interested in their culture and religion in their country of origin, but once immigrated to a different land, these same people become more attached to their original culture and religion, even more orthodox in their beliefs. They try to recreate what is familar. Why are we surprised most are not assimilating? It takes, for most, many generations. And even then. Immigrants will always, in one way or another affect change in the general culture. Think of different cuisine, the arts, influences on our beliefs, etc. What is a Canadian anyways? One who lives here? Who pays taxes here? How long of roots do you need to have before you are no longer called an immigrant? We have a very large country and from one community to another there is a difference in the culture. Perhaps we need to be clearer on what is in fact our highest Canadian values and communicate them more effectively. I would also like to add that there is suffering in not being able to pass on your culture. Watching your children and grandchildren speaking a different language, not having them understand yours enough for you to enjoy signing traditional songs to, not being able to guide them in your religious beliefs, etc., in the name of them becoming assimilated. I am experiencing these and my roots go back over 400 years on this land.

I'm done being quiet too. Im not racist, I dont hate people because their skin color isnt white like mine, Im happy to have immigrants here if they are willing to integrate like the previous generations have. We arent having kids because unlike other countries, we want to put kids first, and its irresponsible to have children when our economy is unaffordable to have them. Damage is done and by the time it is fixed which I doubt it will, it will be too late. Assimilate into a new culture, not bring all your conflicts to Canadian soil, and try to take over the country and transform it to something else nobody wants. I am not anti migration but I am against those who come here and will not assimilate to Canadian ways but bring with them the crap they left their own Country for and are ruining Canada it's time to shut the door and make new rules when Migrants want to live in Canada they have to Assimilate to Canadian customs and laws .

new immigrants should only be allowed to work in construction building houses. thats it. immigrants should NOT be allowed to work in IT or any white collar jobs. immigrants should NOT be allowed to buy houses unless they build the house themselves by their own hands. immigrants should be increasing the housing supply, not decreasing it. immigrants should be required to build at least 1 house during their first year in canada, or be deported. only immigrants who have some experience working in construction can be allowed in. we should only accept young immigrants under 32, because only young people will assimilate. for those over 32 years old, must be rejected because they are too old and wont assimilate. immigrants should not be allowed into universities, theres no space and tuition is too high. only canada born canadians can attend universities. immigrants must also have a minimum net worth of $50K. their total assets of stocks, crypto, house, car, etc., must be at least $50K or deport. we dont need anymore poor immigrants!
