I’m a Canadian and my wife is an immigrant for Punjab and even she thinks this is all getting out of control. She came here to start a new life with me after we met and to get away from Indian culture which she thinks is now seeping into everything. In India it’s survival of the fittest, one must do everything they do and take advantage of everything in order to scrap by. Canada and the Canadian mindset isn’t equipped to handle that, so it’s no surprise you’re suddenly seeing Indians everywhere who are telling Indians back home how to exploit the systems to get more money fast. Hijacking what systems Canadians have to gain the social mobility that they can’t have in India but in doing so they’re making it like India. They don’t respect any other culture than their own my wife won’t even step foot in Brampton because it looks, sounds, and even starting to smell like India. And the problem is being exasperated because these people who are from very tight families are trying to bring their whole families too people who are elderly with no literacy or language skills to integrate into Canadian society to work and contribute to the economy so they just live off of their children who came first. I’m not racist all of my friends are international and are of one ethnicity or another and I’ve been to India and love the country it’s beautiful with amazing food lol, but this is getting too much out of hand and we’re letting in the most cut throat Indians in who will exploit everything and step on anyone to get on top. They won’t even respect Canadian laws and customs. We’re not equipped to deal with them

I’m from Quebec, the Indian immigration isn’t as overwhelming here. We’re pretty strict with the French language, I guess that’s the main reason why. Without French, one can hardly work as anything else than a dishwasher or cleaner.\n\nThere are high paying jobs in tech and other industries that will hire you even if you only speak English but you need to be qualified, obviously.

Canadian here, I dont think immigration is bad during times of calm and prosperity. As long as we have the ressources to integrate immigrants into society, there's no problem with it.\nBut let's say that these days, the world as a whole isn't in a very good state. According to the news we broke 40 Million residents in Canada in the new year. They just announced that the Canadian population is already at 41 million as of last week. How can we absorb this many people. I would say the majority are from India. A lot of these new residents are amazing. But hear me out......For more than 70 years Canada has accepted diverse immigrants from around the world. These immigrants have always had challenges with acceptance and integration as they bought homes and had families and raised children to be Canadians. But these immigrants are economic migrants. They don't want to be Canadians like they used to. They want the PR, and the citizenship. But they want to work and move all that money out of Canada back to India. Then when they retire, they themselves will dump all their Canadian assets and move to India where cost of living and home ownership is exceedingly less expensive. Even their federal government pension plan money will move out of the country. I'll be totally truthful...MY perception of these economic migrants is that THEY HATE US. In India they are educated, come from Middle class and upper middleclass families. They want the PR and Citizenship so they can eventually pull their entire family from India over to Canada. But they have to Work at Burger king or Tim Hortons when they arrive. And the HATE and resent Canadians for it. \n Canada allows people to keep their foreign passports and citizenship. There are 300,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Hong Kong, There are 450,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Lebanon with a War about to expand across the border. We cannot continue with this.....every time one of these places destabilizes they end up on the CBC waiving their Canadian passports demanding the Canadian government do something to get them out. \n The Author of the video is correct. It's terrible. My little town had barely any immigrants at all. Now there are Indians everywhere. Also a massive increase in black population all of a sudden. Did Toronto get full? And they all had to move north.\nThis happened in barely 1 1/2 year BTW. Basically as soon as covid lockdowns and restrictions got lifted. \nThis isn't Canada anymore this is little India. Some of the places for rent you showed in this video are in my neighbourhood. My neighbourhood has been predominantly Indian since I first moved here 20 years ago, the the demographic shift isn't as noticeable other than the fact that its gone from mostly Indian Canadian families who are mostly Canadian citizens to now a lot of young Indian students who just arrived in the past few years. But I can imagine how rapid the demographic transformation might seem to someone who lived in a predominantly non-Indian neighbourhood that's now being flooded with Indians. The thing that confuses me is why India specifically has such a huge increase in immigrants since 2020 while before China and the Philippines had just as many if not more immigrants, but China and the Philippines stagnated while India just continues to skyrocket. Funny enough the people I hear who are most against this mass migration are Indians themselves who were either born here or have been living here a lot longer.

No please don't do any further polling. The reason why the opposition isn't talking about immigration #'s is because it will only hurt them, being up by 20 points is a comfortable position. Talking about reducing immigration might yield an additional bump of a couple of points on the upside OR it could finally give the liberals the ammunition that they have desperately been seeking to yield against them. Deportation at the point of entry isn’t peculiar to Canada alone. It happens at every airport in the world including Nigeria. Also, immigration officials are authorized to query your purpose of visiting the country. Be prepared to answer all/any questions at the point of entry if you are asked questions.

As an immigrant to Canada myself, I have to state the obvious, the problem isn't about immigration, per se, as it is about the lack of discernment. Not all cultures are the same. Canada can and should give preference to immigrants from other democratic countries. When you import the third world, you import its problems. It's commendable to try to save everybody, endless respect, but your citizens have to come first. Canada can't save the third world by becoming a part of it.

There's nothing wrong with immigration as long as it's controlled, people enter legally and do what it takes to adapt to the host countries' values. I'm from India too; I fully support nationalism, irrespective of the country; it isn't racist, as the media likes to push that narrative. The sense of community is reducing because I think there's this wall between ethnic groups. The only way to tear down the wall is to have the immigrants adapt to the host country's culture and values.\n\nI have a cousin who moved to England, and she bought a home in a predominantly white neighbourhood. As a Canadian who can trace is lineage to the early Saskatchewan settlers, many of the negatives experienced by immigrants are also experienced by those born here. \n\nIt’s ALWAYS been insanely difficult to find a well paid job here. Unless you know someone inside the organization who can pull you in, you’ll have an uphill battle. In order to make a respectable living, you usually have to travel to the north. \n\nIt’s the land of zero opportunities. \n\nJust think, the weather in southern BC is as good as it gets, and it’s all downhill from there.\n\nCanada is completely unrecognizable after all these years with Trudeau at the helm.\n\nAmericans are far friendlier and more hospitable than Canadians. \n\nYou live like a pauper in Canada, but live like a prince on the equivalent wage in the US.\n\nI drove across Canada two years ago, and was absolutely horrified by the dismal state of the nation. Isn't that Canadians who came from Europe are also immigrants who took the land from natives by force? Why is it considered the norm? There is French Quebec so why are other cultures being deemed non canadian? Each group has the right to express their culture in multicultural Canada.

Canadian Born people in Brampton aren't jobless because there are immigrants. They are jobless because they have no education and there isn't a lot of work out there apparently. Crime isn't related to the Indian population. It is related to no work, no education, living in the streets and doing drugs so once again, to Canadian Born people. If it’s ruled that he’s to be deported(which I agree with) then deport him. If he wishes to appeal on whatever grounds, he can make his appeal from his home country. I personally think that any immigrant found guilty of a serious crime should be deported, but Canadian citizenship prevents that I believe…which is why I don’t think citizenship should only be granted to those born in Canada, leaving the option to deport on the table if you engage in nefarious activities. \nThe fact that he has children born that require health care that’s “only available here” isn’t a factor. He should reap what he sows.

I am from India. While what u said is mostly true, I'd like to add that the top 10% indians dont immigrate to Canada coz the quality of life has degraded there.Your problem isn't too many indian immigrants, issue is too many underqualified indians. Don't allow just anyone to immigrate in your country. Allow only the best. Those who dont get into best Indian/ best US universities go to Canada.

I’m Indian and I will be damned if I say I agree with you. This shouldn’t be allowed. Follow the rules. This mob culture has to stop. I work my ass off and I can’t get by. My industry went on a strike for a year and I couldn’t get a survival job. These students can move from one province to another any time they want. How is this possible. Isn’t there any law to prevent them moving from the place they came to “study” in the first place and move to another location just for PR? I waited two years to get my police verification done from all the countries I worked before my immigration application got approved. These days it’s like the immigration ministry is handing over permanent residency like candies. More over if I go to a shop ask for help I get answers in a language I don’t speak or follow. Why are we allowing this? Why can’t these guys speak English or French? Why am forced to learn Punjabi? If these guys want to create a ghetto for themselves why are they doing it here? Who’s allowing all this? What’s happening to those English language tests? I don’t care if they fulfill any of those departments that require eligible workers. Why do we have to import truck drivers and factory workers? I’m fed up with this and I wonder why Canadians aren’t worried about their country and culture and react like they do. Why because immigrants such as Indians are eagar to work and are entrepreneurs if no work is available providing more work which revives the neighborhood which in turn is profitable to the Canadian government $$. Also Indian immigrants are smart! and educated! \nThe Canadian government isn’t stupid bringing in immigrants it adds to the governments income for the future! It will also probably pay for the homeless and your drug addicts!

Racism is a problem in Canada if a foreign accent you a put under the carpet because born in Canada is a privilege. \n rental also is discriminatory for new comers.\nLastly aging people are discarded away waiting to die in an appalling manner.\nNo drs are another issue , go to an emergency room and take a look at the amount of immigrants in emergency room because of the lack of care.\nIf an immigrant get sick or disabled there aren’t benefits. \nImmigration to Canada is not a good thing if looking for Financial progress. \nCanadians don’t want to have children because is expensive and opening immigration isn’t happening.\nSomething needs to change

My favorite are the immigrants who come to Canada and then complain about not enough housing when they are the reason that there isn't enough housing.... You don't care that you've driven up the price of housing for actual Canadians....

Why are we bringing in so many immigrants and students from third world countries...that is the question. Countries in Europe are doing the same. It's as if they are being forced to by some world power. Why aren't any Middle eastern, African, or Asian countries taking in so many immigrants from all these countries...Something isn't right and we are all being kept in the dark.

What makes so many Indians immigrants to Canada since India isn’t a rich country .? I might offend but I really want to know
