NO ONE in American asked for Tarrifs. These are being called for to line the pockets of the Rich. They won't help the middle or lower class. I don't care if you are on the Right or Left. This is cetianly a BAD decision benifitting NO ONE but the Rich. Please guys lets try to get some this to stop before it's too late.

This is what our President should like. Not like the orange clown we currently have. Voting in Trump will very bad for this country. I may immigrate to Canada. At least that country is lead by adults where lying is not the norm.

Fucking with Canada is like a fart in the wind challenge to my President. Also if implementing tarrifs is so bad for American citizens, and we're the ones who are actually losing. Then why is Canada doing the same thing by imposing tariffs. Wouldn't they be screwing over their citizens then?

Make no mistake- Canadians are individually fighting back by boycotting all US products and looking for Canadian alternatives. Our social media is flooded with “Buy Canadian” only. Too bad. Trump sucks

Like Russia, Canada has key strategic resources and huge oil and gas reserves. The west could not cause the collapse of the Russian economy after it invaded Ukraine because of that key fact. Canada will eventually find other markets for its natural resources. This is a sad fact as integrating our economy with the U.S. has been a great benefit to both countries. You buy our natural resources, we buy your manufactured goods. Too bad, this administration does not see this simply reality. Don't get me wrong, Canada will suffer MORE than the U.S. as our economy is much smaller, but it will survive and once it decouples its economy from that of the U.S., it will be fine. The U.S. on the other hand is breaking treaties with longtime allies and isolating itself on the world stage. It is squandering its place as world leader and world superpower. China is licking its chops.

I'm not American. I grew up hearing lots of hate bout USA cuz the US doesn't exactly have a good rep in foreign policies - always bullying other nations, starting wars for oil etc. but I've always preferred USA not just for the world order it brings, it allows different voices, criticism & scolding towards its leaders compared to China, Russia & North Korea. \n\nin the US, you can talk bad bout politicians in power, or probably make movies bout these kind of things like US invading other countries for oil, or testing out some cruel AI military robots on humans (movie name: Monsters of Man), & you won't be persecuted. but after looking at a bunch of executive orders Trump has signed, the way he (& JD Vance) treated Zelenski & Canada, I don't know if I still feel the same bout USA anymore.\n\nif USA doesn't wanna continue spending on Ukraine, perhaps USA shouldn't have sweet talked Ukraine into denuclearization thru the 1994 Budapest Memorandum. that's what you get for mendling with other countries' affairs. by stopping US aid & wanting a new mineral deal, Trump's refusing to follow the Memorandum (I added this sentence thru edit as I can't reply to the comment below).\n\nunderstandably, US & UK don't need to deploy troops in Ukraine as the security assurance in the memorandum wasn't clearly defined, but it also didn't mention that Ukraine should pay the US back financially, nor any mineral concessions. \n\nTrump always wanting a purely 1 sided deal will only isolate USA from more allies.

Who cares about what this knuckle head said. He did so bad for Canada the guy announced his resignation with a ridiculous amount of time before election time.

Trudeau is a snake. Trump's requests were simple; secure your borders to stop illegals and fentanyl from entering our country. \n\nYou refused. So now you get reciprocity. This isn't going to affect us in the US anywhere near as bad as it will affect Canadians. Trudeau's unwillingness to do what's right will come back to bite him in the ass.

Canada and Mexico are not responsible for the people in the US who chose to use drugs. In fact, it's the United States job to keep illegal drugs and immigrants out of the US and they are doing a poor job of it and need someone else to blame. Mexico could retaliate in a way that could flood the US with illegal drugs and immigrants and refuse to repatriate its citizens back into Mexico. The rest of Central and South America could do the same in support of Mexico. They need to get Trump out of office before he ruins America.\nI remember the press conference with the USA (Trump), Canada and Mexico when signing the new trade agreement during Trump last time in office. Trump proudly stated that this is the greatest agreement in the history of the United States. Last week he wanted to know who in the US agreed to the terrible trade agreement. He is losing his mind and cognitive function is deteriorating at a rapid rate. Re-negotiating contracts after the work is complete is how Trump ran his businesses. He has bankrupted many small businesses by not paying them knowing that they do not have the money to go to court. He is only rich because of daddy's money otherwise he would have never survived his many bankruptcies. Thats why no one will loan him money. I can't wait until he screws over the government of Saudi Arabia with one of his shady business deals. Anyone remember what happened to Khashoggi for just authoring a bad article on Saudi's Leaders. What do you think will happen to Trump for monetarily screwing them over?

Every day I now get up and never felt more depressed about what Trump is doing not just to Canada, Ukraine, Europe. Wake up America before it’s too late. As a German I believe that the European Union needs to apply his significant power to encounter this madness . Europe should welcome Canada into the Union. Trump has sold the lie that tariffs will pay for many great things. 1-It's a direct-to-consumer tax. 2-History has proven that tariff wars are bad for all concerned. P.S. Warren Buffet recently said that if all US corporations paid taxed like his companies do, We'd have no need for income taxes. Trump works from the other end of the tunnel that Ideally no taxes for corporations, and the wealth will trickle down and bless us all.
