Canadians don’t want a 2 year cap, we want a deportation blitz and a 30+ year ban on all immigration, asylum seekers and student/worker permits. We also want better pay with hours and benefits, labour shortage solved!

Unfortunately we don't have enough housing for the homeless. No more asylum and immigrants till housing and medical and roads are built .❤

Decades of racists immigration policies, and foreign policies are directly responsible for this. We are failing to properly process these peoples legal requests for asylum, because the immigration department has been defunded and chronically understaffed on purpose.\n\nAccording to both US and international law, we have a legal obligation to accept, process and grant asylum requests as quickly as possible. The inaction of our government is enabling these people. \nI am not against legal asylum seeking but what is happening now is illegal and nothing is being done by the authorities. \nCan you believe legal immigration applicants are waiting years in the system because all the attention was shifted to these illegal crossings.\n\nNo country has open borders like this.

I love Canada and I love the fact its mixing so many cultures in together, but we just can't keep up at the current pace. Another thing lots of people have an issue with is the lack of diversity in the immigrants. Our services and lifestyles are being strained to the point where people are getting sick of it, put a cap on each country and only allow that cap to be broken for asylum seekers/refugees. Duhhhhhh! Stop fake asylum seekers, cultural diversity ? They are all from Middle East and India, that’s not diversity. Immigration should consist only of people that have the trades and professions we are short of and not the whole damn extended family,grandma and grandpa that have never contributed here but would be a strain on healthcare. Stop the fake student applicants and reduce the number international students, and it shouldn’t be a given that you can stay here when done studying.

Honestly the only immigrants we should take in for the next couple years should be refugees and asylum seekers who have no where to go\n\nIdk why we keep bringing in immigrants who can easily just stay in their home countries and have a decent living

Trust me, only the most proficient professionals will consider departing Canada. How in the hell are the immigrants from the third world able to live in Toronto? The government must subsidize not only their wages but also their housing costs and much more. Our Immigration system in the US is working better than I thought. The #1 priority should be not to be over run by any one countries immigrants. That's also a reason to limit asylum immigrants.

I immigrated from Africa to the US then I made my way to Canada 20 years ago. Life has changed from the time we first moved here. Before with 5k Canadian dollars you would put down for a mortgage and get into the housing market. From 2015 when the Liberals came in power housing market has gone downhill for most even those earning middle class income. \n\nIf you desire to come make sure you have the right paper work. If you are coming as a foreign trained professional. You are okay. Otherwise, make sure you have immediate family willing to help you untill you get on your feet. DON'T COME as a visitor without family to ask for refugee status. You will suffer. Most of those stranded in Toronto are those seeking asylum and shelters are full with those who came from newyork when the borders where shut.\n\nOtherwise if you can pay your bills in Africa just stay there, atleast you have morals. The truth is Canada USA uk this countries are going down because of the influx of immigrants seeking asylum, they have tried years and years taking in people.\nThe living conditions have collapsed and everything has just become expensive.\nPeople back in Africa need to understand that when we tell you not to come to the west is because we’ve experienced hardships and are trapped. \nIt’s easy to get in but difficult to come out,so it’s better you don’t enter at all because now you face challenges of exiting. \n\nIf you’re doing well at home, have a car a house/piece of land and a stable job, stay at home, don’t make the same mistake that some of us made and now we’re trapped.\nOn the other hand if you’re unemployed and young you may come and test the waters.\nJust so you know , it’s not easy being a foreigner.

What I have also realized is the in some instances, some are forced to seek asylum at the Port of Entry. I have personally assisted six Ghanaians out with the Asylum documentation who had no idea what it was. Two of them initially refused to accept Asylum from Immigration officers at Montreal Airport. They missed their connecting flight and had no other option than to either accept Asylum or return to Ghana. I will share this video with them, at least they will understand why.

So how are these asylum seekers come? Do they come from the country that they are looking for asylum and they are denied shelter? Then the trouble is how this claimants are processed, there should be a way to firm up the needed resources or simply there's no room in Canada. If what they are doing is coming to the country and once at the port of entry they claim for asylum we need to take a serious look at how lenient we are in accepting just anyone who comes by automatically granting asylum. That should stop. There should be no illegal immigrants in Canada. Those who are here illegally should be sent back. There is enough trouble now to handle this. Maybe in the future, not now.

Until you experience the horrors they have gone through don’t throw stones in glass houses the immigration system has been broken for years if people waited until it’s their time no one would realistically get through since there is a 20 year backlog and children who were brought here 20 years ago have been thrown out because they themselves were still not approved a decade or more later. Part of the issue is red state lax gun laws allowing cartels easy access to heavy machinery that can be taken back across the border. Do you really think corruption isn’t running all the way to the top and that the American government has not helped worsen the issues when any of these countries want control of their own fossil fuel. Consider how many rich people get to jump in line or border patrol on both sides being able to keep out legal crossings if you can’t pay their fees. If you fight the cartel military or government you will find yourself dead imprisoned and or tortured and if they are fleeing to save their family and willing to leave their whole life behind to go to a country whose language they don’t speak do you really think they can walk all the way to the border wait in a single file line hope they can request asylum and then wait 40 years to maybe get a call back for a hearing these ppl are forced into a rock and a hard place and for the majority of American politics most politicians have no interest on really figuring out a comprehensive and compassionate system to help get immigrants out of dangerous situations America barely cares about it’s homeless citizens veterans mentally or physically Ill every country is having serious issues because often leaders are really only looking out for themselves

Oh man! Everybody is entering in mass, but when I immigrated to the USA, at first, I had to wait for about 8 years to come legally+ 5 years to become a US citizen. Had a lot of paperwork to issue, and it wasn't free at all. I paid a lot of money. I bet most of them do not need any asylum.

I understand seeking asylum, but it burdens our economic system, health system, and safety. There is a legal way to enter. I moved to Texas 4 yrs ago. I've never seen such a burdened health care system and such low wages for jobs. This has to end. The whole immigration law needs to be revamped. It must be done legally. This is almost like an invasion of the US. Biden will not get my vote. When moving to their country, you need a sponsor, must learn the language, and prove you won't be a burden on their health care system, etc. This is simply not right.
