It seems sad that it took an action such as the one the US government had to do, to make Canada realize that we should work together as provinces and as people. Canada knew very well that our big brother in the south has been fiscally hurting since years and had been racking up enormous government, corporate and private citizen debt. If this were to continue it would pull down every single country in the world. Perhaps if the US is becoming fiscally responsible, truly eliminate fraudulent and unnecessary spending and refocus on their local economy (just like China has been doing in the last years) the rest of the world and even Canada can finally focus on their strength and local markets. After all, don't we all miss our local stores, local artisans, vibrant neighborhoods with diverse businesses and a pride in having made in our own country? May I say that this Trump era will give the whole planet a new perspective for changing our ways, reliance on others and taking the easy and greedy road!

Born and Raised in Canada and there is another sort of comparison I'm starting to see more and more: We have the Stagnation of Japan and the the Personality of Britain. \n\nWhat I mean by that, the people in Canada, least the older ones (Boomers), got very conservative and never wanted to rock the boat and do new things. Hi I'm from Russia and I would say that mostly people who lives in english speaking countries they usually can only tell about wealth privilegues of having particular passport, offical status of their country and that's it. for my personal opinion the motherland is something that is more than that. I didn't travel much somewhere but I've been abroad and I would say - nowhere is better than here in Russia for me. And those people who just moved there to foreign counties from Russia as example they pretend that it's much better for them in completely alien country. that's a bull shit as I guess because each people is like a spider who since it was given a birth is spreading out it's net in particular place (their parents, friends, first love, lovely places, and etc) and since they moved somewhere all this NET will be torn for a long time or forever and never restored anymore. and for my personal opinion immigration is BULL SHIT and I would do it in a completely disparate situation.
