A transition to Conservatives at the Federal level may lighten the load on a few things like Carbon Tax, and Income Tax (maybe), but they won't be the party to introduce limitations and regulations on investors that are responsible for driving up housing prices, by treating the housing market like it's a stock exchange. \nI will applaud Trudeau on winning over the EV battery plant, for pulling us out of bombing Syria and Iraq, for legalizing Marijuana, and for including Dental Care in health coverage (albeit limited...), but some of his decisions should have been better thought through, like the capital gains tax, and should only be targeting investors that have more than 3 properties. While he increased the budget for the Military, he's spent his first two terms ignoring it and that's severely hampered our readiness, and equipment. And while I do think we needed to boost immigration to stave off economic disaster, the current level that its at is problematic, and many bad faith actors are taking advantage of it and enriching themselves like the diploma mills.

My son grew up in Quebec, and they have a double everything. Not only was childbirth free, so were the pre-natal courses and everything else, AND we got around 1000$/mo in childcare benefits, until he turned 18, with full of tax credits per kid. Currently, America is more than frightening. The political system has really become a total mess. A two-party system (basically YES or NO) does not cater to the many grey areas of politics. The choice right now seems to be Fascist or Liberal. That's it! It was not like that during most of my professional life. Thanks to my job, I had a Green Card. But, I also could travel with little difficulty...especially in the South and Mid-West. Why? Well, because I had blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin. I never got used to states where everyone was walking around with a gun. It scared the hell out of me. As a commercial film director and writer, (unique services - hence the Green Card) I worked just about everywhere in the US. The North East is the most similar to Canada. But get down south, and people were literally walking around with holsters and revolvers on their hips. I never felt completely safe. But America is also a great country full of opportunities and if you are educated and a professional, the money is also great. All Canadians love their Healthcare and Social Safety Net. Generally, I think Canadians are more socially evolved and better educated. Your educational system is awful. And the Bible Belt States are anything but Christian. It's hate and fear-based. Canada actually has a stricter policy on refugees than the US. Although detention of asylum seekers is provided for under Canadian law, the criteria for its use appear to be tighter than in the US. In 2017(one year after Trump's administration), Canada had 6251 immigration detainees 2017 compared with 323,591 held by the United States that same year. And the US has insanely more cases of refugees than Canada. Canada's immigration policy has a preference for economic benefits, and the approval criteria for refugee claims are stricter too. Take a look at the Express Entry Programme. Most of the applicants have to get a master's degree to be granted a PR in Canada, but the US is more favourable on Family reunions or Refugees. Although Canada has its own problems, such as housing issues and a healthcare system that might worsen by increasing immigrants, in general, I think the US should learn something more on Canada's immigration policy which is on a talent basis.

Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat. It is funny the media doesn't brow bash Trudeau like they do Trump. Trump is doing what he promised and America is benefiting from it. I'm sick of these sob stories. Are those people really that stupid? I'm beginning to think they really are. This man had been in the States for several years according to this video. He was in the States illegally. He clearly never bothered to learn English, and it looks like that for his family too. Then he gets scared because Trump got elected and actually starts ENFORCING IMMIGRATION LAW. So he flees to Canada just because of something a really STUPID and poorly liked PM says. So he takes his family and again is expecting to be given asylum, and then does no research to find out the facts about Canada's immigration system before he goes there. Then he complains about having to spend all his money. Oh gee, did he actually think they would just give him free everything??? Clearly the threat he's complaining about in his own country is not that bad, since Canada rejected his asylum. So what does he do? He refuses to turn up for his hearing, and then he flees to another province. Totally criminal activity. Canada's immigration people need to round him up and deport him. It's his OWN FAULT he is separated from his family. HE BROKE THE LAW!!! There are CONSEQUENCES to breaking the law. Sheesh!!! I'm so sick of hearing these sob stories from these freeloaders.
