CNN, why are you not calling out Trump's lies? In 2024, less than two tenths of one percent of fentanyl entering the US in 2024 crossed the US-Canadian border. This was NEVER about fentanyl. This is about Trump financing his billionaire tax cuts buy imposing huge sales taxes on American consumers. It's a stealth tax increase tha.t is targeted at low and middle income Americans. Trump is a liar, a crook, and a moron, a rapist, and a traitor. Every line you guys utter should underscore those facts. If you can't do your job, then STFU and shutter your offices. I see this as nothing less than Trump wanting to do to Canada a slightly more palatable version of what Putin is doing to Ukraine. Trump has openly said he wants Canada to become the 51st state, even though this is a huge ask as Canada has a population larger than any US state (California is close in population size), Canada has a land mass nearly the size of the US and, including water mass, Canada has a larger overall area than the US. Trump also wants Iceland to be owned by America. He has become power crazy during a war because this is his only chance to stoke his ego to undreamable levels. Trump wants to be America's Putin.

Canada just needs to fix the trade deficit with the United States. If Trudeau does, the U.S. tariffs would not happen. Canada has turned a deaf ear when the U.S. requested a fair trading partner and less deficits in the past decades. Trump was obligated to put a tariff on Canadian goods entering the U.S. since Canada did not resolve the problem.

There tariff's Trump is levying on Canada are BS. Less than 1% of illegal migration comes from Canada and 0.02% of all Fentanal comes into the US from Canada. Conversely, The US imports over half its oil from Canada, and 45% of its gas from Canada.

Even if it were relating to fentanyl. If the United States weren’t so slack about its own drug enforcement, there would be less coming into the us because it just wouldn’t be worth it.

I just hope president Trump is able to put tariff like penalty on American companies that are outsourcing jobs and leaving American job less.
