Great video, and really interesting discussion in the comments. Perhaps what I can add is that I was born in Canada, have lived here for 50 years, and I've experienced the same problems as immigrants: difficult to meet people and form social ties, hard to find work because I don't have the 'right' education or qualifications not recognized, expensive and hard to establish a 'normal' life here. Imagine growing up with this, not having experienced something different elsewhere, and having no country to go back to. Canada is becoming a two-tier society, one made up of well-established families, and the other made up of Canadians who struggle and immigrants who also struggle.

Thank you for making the video, however, it does not depict the entire picture of immigration and immigrants’ situation in Canada ( re jobs, re-education & immigrants moving back to their countries). I hope my comment is not perceived negatively, but it stems from personal experiences: I am an immigrant, I’ve been in Canada for 28 years; I work in the immigration field; my partner is a new immigrant from Europe, with a degree in the medical field..A lot of what you say can be true , but it lacks depth, analysts & most importantly the bigger picture. \n\nPlease widen the scope of your research & explain the rational as to why things may be the way i they are. \n\nRe. Brother I am a regular listener of your videos. Almost saw all of your videos. I also did ecrticise on your last video. I personally have nothing to say against your views. I personally believe that you are an honest, hard worker and loyal Pakistani. I have no doubt at all. I believe you say words from your heart. But the last comment which I did was the mentality of different standards of people with their views on different interpretation like if a person does some thing wrong against minorities it doesn't mean he is islamic extremism it is the mind set. This comment section is gross. I understand the anti-islamic sentiment in western countries, but I don't support it. I see comments about how people flee from muslim countries, but this is not because of their religion. There is a shortage of resources in these countries that leads to war and terrorism. The vast majority of muslims are good people, and America and Canada have plenty of space for families fleeing the middle east. Gross comments on this video...

Good video.\nFor people in the comments: immigrating to Canada requires you to have prior post-secondary education. It’s simply a must. But once you are here and apply for jobs, your education will not be recognized by employers (unless you come from the Commonwealth countries.) This includes highly sough-after jobs such as Doctors, Nursing, healthcare, engineering, or finance. So definitely expect to go back to school once you are a landed immigrant.

This video did a decent job of presenting some evidence regarding systemic racism in Canada. While we are better than the US in this aspect, we still have large room for improvement. However, I disagreed with the comments at the end regarding prime Minister Trudeau's knee. At the very least, that is a symbolic move showcasing his solidarity and empathy with oppressed individuals and his commitment for a better future. A mistake 20 years ago shouldn't devalue his 20 years of evolution and growth. Hopefully, the knee is accompanied by efforts aimed at police reforms and improved mental health support.

Cool video! I'm from the United States, and I've been to Canada back in May 2001. I was 11 at the time, but it was part of a 3-day trip with my elementary school. We were in Toronto. I miss my experience there so much. Although I'm not a fan of cold weather, I would love to be back in Canada because new healthcare here in the U.S is too hard for me to get. I typed this comment on May 31st 2020 when at the time violence and riots are occurring in the United States cause of police brutality......again! + COVID-19's still a major issue.

And as I know most of the foreigners don't watch this channel, I think most of these are butt hurt people who couldn't do anything in their life and are jealous of those in the video. Hey Drew, great video, I can't comment on the US side but since I'm Canadian, here is a few things I could clarify:\n1. Football isn't really big in Canada, some people watch it but it's not really popular. Soccer isn't big either but more people follow it.\n2. While Canada has a few political parties, it's essentially a 2 party, plus system. Where only the two major parties are ever in power, and a few extra ones are just there.\n3. From what I know tipping is big in Canada but a bit less then in the US, in most restaurants it's acceptable to tip 13%\n\nOverall great video, stay safe!\nChag sameach

Nice Video but such misleading comments by people. No you cant afford everything with the minimum wage. People here are doing 2 jobs a day. Only skilled resources make good money, but they dont want to put in the same effort in India. I am in Canada too, making good. Money but did not like the misleading comments displayed in this video.\n\nIf you did your masters properly i am sure you can make good money in India. Yeah if you did it with jugaad from an unrecognized university then i can't tell. I know of people who attended college/University programs in Toronto and still can't get good jobs. So if you were paid 5000 after your masters then there is something you didn't tell us about masters in this video.\n\nAgain another comment in the video is that guy mentions of you making only 10000, that's if you are working on a low profile clerical job, but if you are qualified, hard working then surely you can achieve a lot there too... I started with 8k INR but thats not where i am today.
