Americans want legal ways to citizenship to be improved but we cannot accept mass, unregulated immigration. It is not sustainable. Both parties can agree on that but we can’t agree on how to fix it. The issue is that there are too many people coming and it’s overwhelming our system. It’s sad to see people upset but we have to put our own country’s interests first.

Governments making money from taking money from immigrants via their visa fees and school fees.\n\nGranted, these western countries need people who will take up the jobs their people won't do, etc, but their infrastructure and system is not designed to cope with the volume of people they are simply taking money from.\n\nNaturally, many of these immigrants will also put a strain on the welfare system. Our Government destroyed the consensus on immigration. This is not xenophobia or racism - it is a recognition that the Trudeau government opened the floodgates to immigration (close to 1 million in one year!) with no checks or balances - immigration checks are backlogged, the system is abused and our social safety net is fraying, our housing has become unaffordable, and our communities are becoming siloed. Enough!

When you have that number of people taking advantage of our welfare programs to help those who are destitute, and are encouraged to do so by others by posting how to guides to bluff the system on TikTok. Life is not supposed to be easy. Working hard and being smart with your money is how you get ahead. Canadas present government crashed the immigration policy which is extremely unfair to those looking for a better life and to existing Canadians who pay for it in ever increasing taxes.

This is good. It will firm up and curb unfettered immigration so that only those with skills/talent are permitted to travel on work or student visas, which over the last decade has been abused by many who claim visas but fail to deliver academically or are substandard or just dissapear. Things have got so bad now that the visa system needs a severe shake up to weed out undesirables.

Indians are flooding these countries and many stay back illegally . Many are now undertaking underhand activities. Huge numbers coming with FAKE educational qualifications and documents. The trust system is broken now. Unchecked immigration has put high pressure on the health and housing sectors.

It is not just the number of students, it is the quality of the students. Majority of these students are not top notch or the ones who will integrate well into society. Most of the schools accepting students in Canada and Australia are businesses run by former immigrants to these countries, who saw the business opportunity of charging people to give them admissions to low quality un-ecreditted schools, which they run themselves. Then in the midde of the school years they will push students to apply for immigration or refugee status. Everyone knows what the scam is but the governments are not addressing it. I am pro immigration but the systems have changed (broken) from what they used to be 20/30 years ago.

Canada is in crisis, politically, economically and financially. Our health care system is hanging on by a thread. As a Canadian, I disagree with we are anti immigration. We need to slow down immigration so we can catch up on building affordable housing for those already here. We need to fix are healthcare system so we can all get decent healthcare. Once that's done, I think we should proceed with immigration.

I was born in Canada and my family was from the Caribbean and were brown. Learned Canadian history from our first PM John a McDonald, Wilfred Laurier, learned French. We were hoping Quebec did not separate from Canada. Our whole family is loyal to one country and that is Canada only. The small minority of Indians have destroyed what made us Canada. As a Canadian PR holder, the immigration system is broken. The fact that people who can't speak English, with criminal backgrounds and unqualified individuals can come in and stay while I had to wait 2 years for background checks and a 8.5 IELTS score, is insane. It shows that qualified workers aren't wanted but rather just get as many people from only one single country in the name of multiculturalism. Another thing which attracted me to Canada was the chance to experience different cultures but all I see are Indians and especially immigrants who don't want to integrate because Trudeau is happy with that and they bring their countries' domestic problems to Canada (read Gaza idiots and Khalistanis)

Corruption may have played a role as well, with some local Canadian colleges and universities admitting students who lacked merit. Given the extreme levels of corruption in India, this is not surprising.\n\nThe root issue lies in the Canadian government’s lack of strictness and vigilance when formulating immigration rules and policies. Many Indians, frustrated with the current government and financial hardships, seek to leave the country in hopes of a better life in the West. While educated individuals follow proper processes, the uneducated often resort to questionable means. In Canada’s case, this negligence on the part of both governments has had unfortunate consequences.\n\nI hope stricter policies and more accountability lead to better outcomes in the future.

The majority of Canadians are sick and tired of the amounts of Indians coming to Canada committing crimes. As a Black Canadian womam born and raised, l never seen anything like this in my whole 60 years of life. We cannot find affordable housing, they come over here wanting to be Canadian citizens, at the same time abusing the resources meanwhile, they go across the border to exploit the system. Immigration needs to close it doors to certain countries. Some Indians people come over here, and think they are still in India. I am Indian living in Canada and I hate a lot of what these new comers from India are doing. They are exploiting immigration system, tax system and everything they can without any bit of shame. My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. Quite honestly. \n\nI think the absolute undying favourable passionate upholding and support of nationalistic, capitalist, hyper individualistic mentality about society as a whole (from my Canadian born and bred perspective lol) makes the differences even more glaring blaring and hard to swallow for us lol. I think more Canadians would feel exactly how that comment stated , that you felt was not fair for us to experience America as. Are you kidding me. Are you not in Canada right now. Canada is now the most poor country in the World. Immigration has gone to the roof. No housing. Rents and forget about buying a house in BC, AB, Quebec, Ontario. High unemployment, Inflation is high and going up more. We also do not have a military defense system and the U.S. is tired of Canada not spending money to meet their responsibility as a Nato country. Many Canadians are leaving the country permanent. Investors and businesses are pulling out. Canada is trillions in debt but keep printing more money (toilet paper). Canada has gone downhill significantly over the past ten years. Born Canadians and legit immigrants having to go through a rigorous immigration process are very unhappy and cause conflict. Besides all the different ethnicities cause unrest and are ungrateful, daring the burn the Canadian flag, uttering death to Canada, death the US and Israel. These trouble makers have not intentions to assimilate into Canada's culture and are disrespectful to the Canadian government and it's citizens. Our youth are very unhappy and do not see a future for themselves yet have to work very hard and pay unbelievable high taxes. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. This is not a country of milk and honey any longer but poor and enormous homelessness. Hunger, terrible health care, incredible post secondary tuitions and books. Now that president Trump has won the election he is going to place tariffs on Canadian goods and rightfully so. Russia is very interested in the Antarctica and should they or anyone invade Canada we got 3 days of ammunition. The food in AB is very bad for your health. Everything has pesticides, hormones, and by the time fruit and vegies arrive here from the US all the nutrition have gone. A extremely high cancer rate, young and old, diabetes, depression and other mental disorders are rampant. Our children and grandchildren do not have a future so why bother going to school or work. Our kids live on the streets, shelters, camping in the woods and using fentanyl and meth all kinds of dangerous drugs. The cities and small towns are full of used needles, pipes, and more paraphelia just thrown on the trails everywhere. The US will not assist Canada when a possible War 3 will occur, and we the people of Canada and the land are easy prey. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. Our government take better care of these illegal people than their own people especially our youth. So please let us not pretend Canada is a land of opportunity and great. We have to vote for the right leader who will have a very difficult time and challenges to overcome if at all possible and make Canada Great Again!
