i first saw u, watching one of your travel vlogs a few years ago, and i have to say... i still love u! :) i came across this video doing my personal research on why a close friend of mine who emigrated to canada in 2009, is now trying desperately to turn back. Actualy all my friends who emigrated to canada in early 2000's are already back. I see we exeprience all over the planet the same cost of living problem, but what hapenes in canada is quite hard to endure

I didn't watch your video till the end but it seems like you decided to return because you found it hard to adjust in Canada. It is even more strange because you were even lucky to find employment. For all of those who find it hard to settle in Canada like this family, please weigh your discomfort against your kids' future. By taking your kids back, you are taking them back to extreme lifelong competition. Is your discomfort that big of an issue that you will take your kids back to that world. It will help you decide.

I've been here from August 26th. I live in Saskatoon. Found a job in 8 days, I didn't have a career back home, except for being a mechanic, saftey guy and 2 more diplomas. I started from ground up working at grocery shop, paid the bills, smoked that good weed, can video call my family everyday, hanging out with the boys and chilling. \n\nBut I understand how most people who had a career back in their home is having trouble getting the exact one here. My roommate did software engineering stuff back home and he works with me. \n\nAlso Canadians have been really great with me. I had made some friends.\nAlso I'm 27, so I have time and I understand where he's coming from

Nothing new in this video, just last 3 minutes is worth listening to. I had applied for PR, then gave up just like that, found Canada is excellent tourist spot ONLY. Rest I ❤ INDIA with all its some - and more + ives. There is a trade off in each aspect of life, also one should not have too many options in life to move back and forth. Then only one can take a disruptive but bold step in ones life and bear with its offerings. I am happy so is my family to have come back , Covid phase helped making us like INDIA more.

The video was greatly done very detailed explained, but Out of curiosity the part where you say the guy killed two Punjabi police officers? What evidence did you get that backed it up? And what does the term terrorist mean to you in this video? Although your research is factually however the term implied to the situation in the 90’s are a bit vulgar and bias?

Highly researched and thorough in Nitish Rajput video. You have great team in research.\n\nI am Hindu and was quite proud of Sikhs and with that interest I learned more about their presence in USA 25years back.\nWhen Sikhs and Hindus migrated to North America (Canada and USA particularly Orange country) and they were called Hindoos and they were successful in Agriculture. Some of them married to Mexicans as they looking for partners, and are videos / documentaries on this and I had watched them..\n\nMy personal opinion, Pak wants to take revenge for their loss of East Pak (Bangla) and nurtured few disgruntled Sikhs. \n\nWhen I went to USA and met acquaintance (who is Sikh and moved to use based on asylum) in 1996. When I enquired his visa status, he mentioned that he got some letter from local political person and used it towards asylum and like wise many are there in USA and Canada.

Its such a good video if everyone who has roots from India will understand it….then Golden days of India will be back…..Be it which ever religion we follow,I hope people will start it from small acts……start respecting Indian Flag….start educating our kids what we used to learn Hindu Muslim Sikh Isayi hum sb toh hai bhai bhai…..as well as songs which used to promote love for our nation and people of our nation should be promoted again. Problems are there but its not for one community its for every community in India but they can be solved. \nRight now fights in Hindu Sikhs Muslims Isayi and other communities is because of fear created in our mind for each other. Even i will not lie now even I have a sense of Fear from people from other communities as its engraved through so many actions that they might not see me as an Indian or as a human being first but treat me like someone not from their community or brotherhood.

Well, after watching the whole video, i get to understand that there has quality of life such as Safety & security of kids and family and an unpolluted environment & food etc. I think these are the main priorities of life, and about challenges that we all already know. And most importantly, eventually most kids will grow up & will be interested to settle outside so you had a huge opportunity as a family to stay together and settled down. Initial, 5/10 yrs might be struggling but then everyone gets the pay back what they've worked for several years. Drugs & culture is a real issue that's for sure.

Thank you to make this video\nCan you please make a video on SIKH RAJ (KHALSA RAJ MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH RAJ) from where it started and how it ends till MAHARAJA DULEEP Singh and how we sikhs loose MAHARANI JINDAH and seperation of punjab in 1947\nSo then people will know why we sikhs want khalistan\nWe don’t want khalistan we want our sikh empire and that era back\nThat was promised by nehru and politicians at that time.

Thank you brother, where national media will tag Khalistani to any person who wears a turban and criticise government or ask for their rights and the majority will then push the same narrative too, it’s sad how it’s still happening to this day where government is harassing Sikh youth and imprisoned our brothers falsely and in many cases they torture them just because they wear turban or belong to Sikh religion, barbarism like I saw videos where police tortured Singhs and wrote ‘Gadar’ , ‘Atwadi’ , ‘Khalistani’ on their backs with hot iron rods, even if someone support a separate nation like Khalistan which is approved and accepted by the supreme court of India this is what makes me to hate the government, WE LOVE OUT COUNTRY TOO AND WILL HAPPILY DIE FOR IT BUT ONE CANNOT LEAVE THE LOVE FOR THEIR STATE “PUNJAB” OR RELIGION BEHIND

Well, I immigrated to Toronto from Ukraine 27 years ago, and it was a good decision at that time. Learning English definitely makes more sense and easier than switching to a rural Ukrainian dialect, which sounds to me like a mockery of Russian. However, today Moscow looks definitely better. There are also plenty of immigrants from former Soviet Asian republics but no trace of homeless, drug-addicted and mentally sick people, very clean and well-maintained city. Just see some of Alina's videos from Russia. For me, the only problem is the cold climate. Toronto is way more southern, and I became too old to change my life. Perhaps when I retire I will go back to the former Ukraine if my Crimea will be a safe part of Russia by that time.

I moved to Toronto in 2021. I've wanted to live in the city and have finally bought my condo in the city of Toronto. I love the city, especially during the summer time. Toronto Summer is so much fun and a great place to be in Canada. I am sick of all the Toronto bashing the past couple months. Yes, there are a lot of problems and yes they're all really bad and need to get resolved. And in all honesty, Toronto is probably one of the better big cities to live in in Canada. Despite all the negativity, TTC violence hasn't really gone up on paper. A lot of aspects about Canada are still strong even among western countries. I've been to Vancouver and Montreal. And those are cities have a lot of problems and a lot of different problems than Toronto.\n\nThe reasons that she specified in her video are all valid and they all make sense. I just want to say that I'm sick of all the Canada bashing and all the Toronto bashing. Toronto is a great place. I'm going to be still living in this city as some years it's going to be down and it's going to come right back up again in another few years.

I hve saved over 50 videos related to Canada Visiting Visa and i have watched a few of them... I was elated and excited... yours crushed me in a good way! \n\nOne thing I'm taking away from here is that I've got to be auper aggresive, go to a city thats going to be easy to get this LMIA jobs... i mean i have paid 350k for sponsorship and the $185 for the normal process... no turninf back now... I will work this out aggressively and strategically. \n\nI'll subscribe to this channel for now and keep learning in the meantime. God has blessed you, Chokor! ??

1. Canada's immigration is primarily skilled labour. Non- skilled labour is imported mostly from the Carribean countries especially Jamaica and you have to leave every year and come back in the next. So, that can be disruptive, but I've met Jamaican's who've been on those programs and done well as well as those who haven't.\n2. If you come to Canada illegally utakipata. Be prepared to hustle for long.\n3. Since Covid everything has become very expensive especially housing. \n4. The videos you've shown of people sleeping outside is because of an increase in the influx of refugees wanting to come to Canada. Refugee shelters are allocated money in the budget for what the Govt estimates will be the number of refugees they'll take in, but there's been an influx lately.\n- A point to note though, ALL refugees Canada received from Ukraine had jobs within 2 months. Why? very skilled labour.\n- Canada's refugee policy is much more lenient than in the US and thus most refugees have been coming to Canada even from the US. The US ones have since been blocked by an agreement signed by both countries.\n5. Are there jobs in Canada? YES, but they require certain skills. The good thing is that once you get one, its the beggining of good fortunes.\n6. If you have skilled qualifications, be prepared to start at a lower level than you are used to and claw your way up. Just don't expect to start where you left off. A Nigerian friend of mine who had performed several surgeries in Nigeria could not be hired until he went back to get certified here in Canada. He has since joined the medical field after going back to school.\n\nAll in all, research, research, research before you make any move.

Happy Birthday Lynn ?\n\nBack to the video. \nPeople should look towards other provinces.\nIt seems most people are only going to the warm weather provinces and city where there are explosion in population and there are no jobs. \nIf people can go to the Northwest territories, Albeta,Quebec etc, these areas aren't as congested, though very cold in weather, but out there one would be able to get settled. People should move out there endure the cold weather remain focused and use it as a stepping stone to work and save up, then they can move back to the warm weather provinces with whatever skills and better knowledge of the country.

I landed in Toronto in 1984, it was clean, safe and affordable. I was able to support myself going to university in the early 90’s working part-time as a waitress. Tuition was much cheaper back then and of top of that I was able to get a grant from the government (which was scrapped I believe). I used to walk down Yonge Street late at night with friends until we reached College Street to go have breakfast at the Golden Griddle on Carton Street. I miss the Maple Leaf Gardens and the CNE Grandstand. There were no shootings at nightclubs when I went dancing. Then things started getting really bad, the cost of living and the violence skyrocketed so I decided to move to Quebec City at the end of 2014. I worked hard on my French and now I am a civil servant for the Quebec Government. I have no regrets. I am lucky to have known Toronto The Good. If you want to reminisce about the streets of Toronto in the 1980’s look for the Night Ride videos here on YouTube. Cheers ??

I currently pay $734.96 per month for my bachelor apartment in Parkdale, Toronto. All inclusive. I found the place in 2015, and it started at $660.00 per month. It's a smaller building where I know most of my co-tenants. Quiet neighbourhood most of the time. I've been one of the lucky ones for sure. I love this city! I'm from Peterborough and I will never move back. Some of the best memories of my life have been here. But you're right Alina, it has changed. Much like most other major cities in the world. The economic hardships being the #1 issue. Rent going up, wages staying the same, and inflation not slowing down. But with Toronto, the transit system is far behind the progress of cities like New York. Toronto should have multiple subway lines going east and west. Queen St. and Dundas lines for sure. The overall culture of the city is not as vibrant as it was during the 2010s. That could be Covid related. Or things are taking awhile to come back to pre-Covid form. But a lot of great venues and restaurants have been shutting down. And being replaced with the construction of condos. The real estate is insane here. It feels like things have gone downhill since the Raptors won the NBA championship in 2019. Because that really united everyone when there were a million people gathered for the parade. I'm hoping things turn around and there's more affordable housing for newcomers. I know I'm staying here for a while longer. Because of my cheap rent. And career attachments to the city. Great job on the video! ?

So accurate and much more can be added. Unfortunately, the genie is out of the bottle, and there's no going back... Lets see a follow-up video in 20-years to see where Toronto measures...

While I identify and agree with the overall sentiment of this video, here is the problem Alina. As a somewhat successful tech person who came from nothing, I refuse to move out of a city to a culturally or globally lacking city due to “budget”. I tried spending time in BC and Nova Scotia in the capital cities. I could not spend more than a week in Saskatchewan. I can assure you that someone with decent skills and lifestyle would not be able to sustain their social and personal life, and mental health anywhere in Canada other than Toronto. If I spoke decent French, I’d say Montreal is a decent option. Vancouver is too lopsided as an international real estate haven, even though beautiful. So the problem is that Toronto is honestly the only city someone like me (and most my friends) would consider living in Canada, and we are all unfortunately being forced to move to the US. We are in our very early 30s so it’s still not too late to have a big move but none of us wanted to try out NYC or SFO much later than now. I hope things improve and we are able to move back to Toronto. But right now, unless you make $300k+, it’s impossible. And we are only able to make that money in the US (most of us). Cheers and keep it up.

I have been living at that building you did your closing comments from right on the lake since 1997. Everything you said about Toronto is true and it is totally gone downhill. I am watching this video from my condo and Playa Del Carmen and I just never want to come back. Even if you can affotd it life is just easier and better elsewhere.

I don't understand some Africans sometimes....making irrelevant videos of how life is tough abroad. Go home if it is not good for you. This is the life in the western world....we Africans always complain abroad, but never go back home. When you are in Rome, you have to live as Romans.....that is the lifestyle there..... blend with it or go back home.

Chokor Millionaire, I don't agree absolutely with the blame on the government. At least from what I have seen in Ghana, people are starting businesses.\n\nI am going to say something I observed about Ghana. I found out that women, as usual, are more hard-working. I realised that the men don't have work because they are lazy or have too much pride. I have watched so many videos where so many business owners complain about the ineffectiveness and inefficiencies of the workers. They are not dedicated when they work for other people. I watched these business owners whose workers in the farms are mostly women, and they were very happy that women are easier to control and have good work ethics as opposed to men. The men prefer jobs where they don't use their energies such as Yahoo Yahoo boys, selling in shops where they don't touch anything or lift a finger.\n\nGrowing up, we knew that men were supposed to do the hard-working jobs in society. But these days, men like to idle around and touch nothing. The reasons being that the African culture teaches us that men are not supposed to do anything at home. They are supposed to be served by women. Then, instead of the men going out there to do the hard work and make the money, they wait around expecting cushy jobs that don't make them lift a finger.\n\nLook at China that you mentioned. These boys work absolutely hard. Even in the villages. Look at Muslim countries. You will never see women working on the streets. The men are even the ones who cook the food on the streets and sell. Check countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. In Africa, most things are done by women.\n\nAll this japa that people are fighting for. Have we ever thought of the agenda of these people needing free and cheap labour? I came to realise that we stupid Africans don't yet understand. Our children eventually become strangers, and we remain just surrogate parents. Most of our children are never going back to Africa, and when they get to an age, they become like strangers to us. Whatever we say, they look at us like archaic. What then makes them Africans anyway. We have seen so many of them who barely know their countries of origin and have never ever been there. They do not know their relations. In fifty years' time, that generation has lost their roots, and was that our intentions initially? This all dawned on me recently with my children, and I feel absolutely dejected because they are not interested in our country. All my hard work is gone down the drain, and all that can happen is for us to leave our children behind and live like people who never had children in the first place. For now, most people see it like something to be proud of, and are happy to say ( my children live abroad). Africans are the most stupid people I know, and that is why we are always used for slave labour. Why are they all approving all these visas and allowing all these people to drown at sea? \n\nThese countries allow these fake visas deliberately because they drain African countries to enrich their own since they can't get the minerals easily these days.

??? I don’t even know how to comment on this vital informative, sensitive, funny video! My God continue to protect you Mr Chorchor… ai lived 8 years in Egypt, finished my O’levels to university there. When you said “they will only start frustrating you at the ide minute” I was just imagining those very tough immigrations. I’m currently in Fiji I really suffered before I could get access to pass in my 3rd attempt because I was transiting through Singapore. I had to go back and spend another 3 weeks in Egypt! The funny thing, that was not Egypt Air but Emirates but still frustrated me before i could show all evidence that I can transit within the Airport jurisdictions within 48hrs…

Peter might be right in some aspect. However, if he believe at any point the system is working against his plans for life, he should come back to Nigeria. He mentioned the number of cars and who he was in Nigeria, but still decided to migrate. Some people here are typing that he is on point. Oga you are not on point. Your points are pointless. You think it is Nigeria that people don’t take their job serious. \nThe funny part of the video is when he compared salaries ??, na frustration wan kill Peter for Canada ??\nHe thinks he will be accorded the same recognition he had in Nigeria. Stop discouraging people, allow people to sell their things as you did and migrate because of their children as you did.

Even Canadian born people are regretting living in Canada, these days. I'm happy people are doing these video's because you don't know how many times I've spoken to immigrants who 100% regret they moved to Canada. And the worst is most spent their savings to get to Canada, but have no money to move back home. Being Canadian = a life of being a SLAVE. That's it. That's all. If you've always dreamed for a life of worry, high stress, little ability to save money and Slavery... then that's the perfect place for you!

This video serves as a valuable eye-opener to the realities of life in the diaspora. It's crucial that we share these experiences not to discourage those back home, but to create a bridge of understanding. Living abroad presents its own set of challenges, and it's important for us to acknowledge them. Let's use this awareness to foster empathy, support, and unity among all of us, no matter where we are in the world. ?? #DiasporaInsights #UnityInChallenges

Do visa officers review previous study permit refusal before approving a current study permit application? Like the sample of the person with N15 Million in your video...in the next application, will the visa officer go back to check the previous reason for refusal and bank statement before approving or refusing the current application...what if the amount has changed?

As a Nigerian, I’m telling you, FORGET about this Nigerian man talking in this video. Nigerians are currently in the emotional phase of being annoyed, unprovoked. It’s like a guilty pleasure. They want to get angry because they can. They want to cry because they can and they like to and not because anyone or anything provoked them. \n\nLastly, this man that is talking is not coming back to Nigeria because he knows that Canada has a better life condition than Nigeria.

When are you folks going to stop this nonsense on YouTube, saying negative things about countries that are far better than yours. You don't realize how stupid you all look for making these videos. You're in a white man's country saying the things you don't like. Now how many of them are in your country searching for greener pastures? Tell me the country in Africa that is better than Canada? Stop this nonsense. It's not easy anywhere. \n\n Focus, manage your resources. You can make start up an investment back home and decide to go back in the later years, rather these rantings on social media. Maybe you all will learn your lesson by the time the authorities start tracking you youtubers and charge you for it.

Thanks for the very informative video. I just got back from a week in Vancouver and saw so many drug addicts and homeless people when I drove through East Vancouver on my way to Gastown. Years ago when I drove this same area, I didnt see this problem. What the heck happened? Is the U.S. rubbing off in Canada. Crime, drugs, homeless people, and criminals seem to have migrated from the U.S. to Canada. Anyway, I was contemplating buying a house in Coaquitlam and retiring there for 6 months out if every year. Now, my eyes are open to what it would really be like. Still better than the U.S., crime wise, but the prices are high. Gas equivalent was $7.50 PER gallon. Food was more. Walmart was more. Starting January 1, 2023 no foreigner can buy property in Canada for 2 years.

I think this was a great video. I’m glad you mentioned the difference in wages because what that really indicates is that Canada doesn’t suffer from a shortage of skilled labour if anything we have the opposite: a glut. What we need is more business investment in our economy but the federal government seems completely uninterested in that topic. Well at least for the immigrants that do come here once they get their citizenship it becomes much easier to work in the states under NAFTA so I guess we’re kinda a back door.
