I am a foreigner who lives in Canada now. I am not Canadian or East Indian. However, I am 100% SURE that if Canada did not import those useless, disgusting, and rude things, India would have been bankrupt 100% already. Unfortunately, Canada is still importing tons of those things again and again and Canada is about bankruptcy now. The Canadian GDP rate is proving that. Really useless and rude. \nAnd, yes, I also was thinking about PR, but I will leave this country pretty soon. One of the big reasons is the large population of East India in this country who are useless and just causing problems such as lack of health care or inflation.

The premise of immigrants coming to fill labor shortages/shrinking population and some come with children...that even sets them further behind with our high cost of living. The reason there is a low birth rate is because of cost of living so how is the average immigrant supposed to survive better working at Tim Hortons with three children any better than the people already born here??????????????? Is it because people from India these people live with 50 people in a two bedroom apartment and pool their incomes???

Let me tell you , the majority may be Indians, but in fact they are not leaving permanently. Only citizens of India or permanent residents are leaving temporarily. They rent their home and live in India with that rent , there they get servants life is luxury if you got money. Second they are the reason for this hike in rent and housing- immigrants are the main reason for high rent and housing market especially greedy ones. Health care in Canada is not accessible even if it is free.

I am also a normal student, & a Sikh & don't plan to leave India (at least for now). I just wanna highlight that the Khalistani part you spoke about is so accurate, like many of classmates or kids from other places outright asked me *Are you a Khalistani?* or sometimes even being called *Khalistani* without a reason when I go to school or some place this has calmed down a little now but it still happens.

I've lived in Dubai (traveled to many other countries).. this is nowhere near being considered as developed anymore (GDP criteria is outdated)..Canada got developed and they forgot to update and even upgrade..!! The drug situation is so bad that I really hope that you didn't come across crackheads/homeless who are under the influence of drugs at all times.. No doubt there are way more homeless people in India, but they are working or at least trying in some way to make their life better and they never hurt you at least, here, it's the opposite, as they literally can do anything.. you can find them roaming all over on the streets of Old Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa.. You can literally find them everywhere.. someone commented earlier that you should give 2 years.. Bro or sis.. it's a complete waste as I am at the same point.. and on top of it when you invested 2 years, it even becomes tougher as it becomes even harder to go back as you have spent so much on furniture, house, car, tools, n all and most importantly - 2 YEARS of life. I left my pregnant wife and have been staying away from her and a 1-and-a-half-year-old baby boy hoping that we'll create a better future and can afford to struggle right now.. its been 2+ years.. Honestly.. I am still not able to figure out whether there is any future or I have spoiled my present looking for a future.. its a dilemma beyond explanation in words, with no relatives or anyone based here.. I've a lot at stake currently and that's the only reason I am stuck otherwise leaving this place seems to be inevitable.. \n\nI travel extensively all throughout and forget about expressways anywhere in Canada (Except 407 which has an insane toll rate) it's a 4-lane highway just 80 km from Toronto to the rest of 450+ kms to Montreal which are 2 major cities of this so-called developed country.. same is for Ottawa, the same hold true from Calgary to Edmonton, and any other major town/city!! on top of it, they are struggling to even maintain those (always under construction - even construction is a wrong word to use as they aren't adding anything new.... it is just being repaired in true words) Same is true with adding new infra in terms of hospitals or any other facility... Banking sucks.. Still dealing through the mail (Postal mail).. (Mails not e-mails). I simply can't get that.. the tax agency - CRA sends communications through the mail, and the same with any other agency.. Comon.. grow up is what I feel at times..!! People are literally not willing to work (Except hard-working immigrants), Govt. doesn't have any plans for the future regarding the economy and development... just bringing in immigrants.. that's it..\n\nYou've made a very smart decision and really at a very good time.. wish you, and your family all the best..!!

Also there is not overt racism but it definitely THERE, try promotion to the highest level of management in the work place and see how many years you will plateau till retirement, aka HIT THE CONCRETE SEALING. So many West Africans in Toronto are working with InstaCard, Door Dash and doing Uber and Lyft. It is called the GIG economy. You are not in a stable job. I live in a small rural Northern community, East Indian immigrants have bought out or taken over nearly every business in the community, our car wash, both grocery stores, both Hardware stores, subway, pizza place, two of the three restaurants, only motel, nearly all the rental properties, and they are shifting their investment now to homes, as we can still buy homes up here for reasonable prices, they are buying them, doing some cheap renovations, and trying to flip them for large amounts. All these local small businesses in the community used to employ young people from the community, they used to be places of employment for summer jobs for students and for the elderly people who retire here to have jobs to keep busy. Since the influx of people from India, all of the jobs in these stores that have been bought out by them are now done by Indian people, nearly everyone who used to work these jobs in my community has lost the opportunity to do so because since the businesses were bought out by Indians they only hire their own kind as employees. I know at least 10 people directly that have lost their jobs due to this, and there are certainly more. We allow foreign investment in our business and real estate market, and these people come in, completely take over and dominate these small communities, and fill them with their young people from India and take away all the jobs from the local people living here. Its horrible. My wife and I are planning on moving to Eastern Europe, Canada in another few decades will be nothing more than a province of India.

It’s been 5 years for me here and I honestly can say I have achieved nothing in my life yet. It scares me when I think I can’t return whatever my parents had invested in me. The fact is you’ll never have a good paying job in Canada being an immigrant. When I say this trust me I mean it. Most you’ll get is a minimum wage job which can make you survive the life here. Mostly Canadians are nice but again some will systematically judge you and say nothing but you’ll see in their actions, the way they’ll talk in a twisted way etc.\nYes I’m not saying that Canada’s bad or it’s no good but trust me it will take forever to build a life here especially with the number of people moving here from round the world. \nIf you’re well off financially from back home Canada’s a paradise for you. People need to stop believing in this fake illusion and come only if they got a purpose here. Well it’s something good that you have shared , yes you can’t have the privilege of keeping a maid / can’t have the cake and eat it too , India has its own pros and cons and so dose Canada . I have lived and worked in UK never had any issues , as had to come back home due to family reasons but it all depends on an individual plus if you are ready to accept challenges even I am planning to migrate to canada in my early 30s with a kid let’s c how it goes , but I have kept my window to return back in case if I didn’t like it . Luck plays a part plus what you imagine is what you create … simple

All Sikhs - this is not Punjab. Please follow rules of that country. Even in India except from Punjab anybody can questions us Sikhs…so let’s not give them reason. A long time back when I started working in Mumbai I came to know from a localite that a license is required for Kirpan! I was so surprised as I was from Punjab and to me that seemed really absurd. But later I understood other people don’t understand our religion and that we are NOT engaging in any fight with Kirpan…even after others are educated of our religion it is better we don’t display Kirpan in public and follow the rules of that state or country.

Your video is biased and stupid at best. You should also cover the reasons for unemployment, and problems in Punjab. The problem is people from Punjab are so desperate to fly out of India, they have no intention or will to grow India's economy. How many IAS, toppers, businessmen you will see from Punjab? That's what i've been saying, we need economic reform. Whenever i've raised my concerns for the punjab's issue, i've been called anti national, terrorists by the Indians. Why don't you talk about fact that Punjab is the only state in india who doesn't have control over its water. 70% of Punjab water is given to Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi. Then you guys give an argument that Haryana was with Punjab before, but the fact is when you calculate the water sharing between Punjab and Haryana, India doesn't include yamuna water. Yamuna water is only reserved for Haryana and Punjab water is forced to be shared. Narmada tribunal denied Rajasthan any water because its non riparian state. only 0.5 MAF water was given to them after taking Guj,MP and Maha Cm's consent. Where as 8.5MAF water ie 51% of punjab's water is given to Rajasthan. Every state has a right over its water and headworks except Punjab. we have no option other than using pumps. Punjab is nothing more than a food producing colony for the Indian state. Indian state has used and thrown Punjab.You seem like a reasonable man Mr Rajput I hope you take up this issue. Indians need to stop coming to Canada, there are better opportunities in India for the next 50 years. Canadas debt to gdp is 4 times that of Indias . The only reason the country is afloat is because the bond market thinks Canadas debt is better than a country like India. Both have never defaulted on debt obligations but one is closer to doing so than the other.

As a former international student from India myself, who had the privilege of attending a prestigious university in the UK, working there, and moving on, the workings of this situation are as clear as daylight and as old as the hills. \nIt wasn't any different back then in the UK 20 years ago, during the heady Blair days, when UK colleges significantly increased their intake of international students, aided by a lax visa regime. This was also in response to tighter visa restrictions in the US following 9/11. Students enrolling in such colleges, as well as the parents funding them, are well aware that these are degree mills. The sole aim here is to somehow navigate through college and stay long enough until permanent residency comes through. \nTears flow and protests erupt only when this unspoken but clearly understood agreement is broken, often with the media conveniently at hand. The reasons driving this insatiable urge are multifarious, but poverty and lack of opportunities in the country (in this case, India) do not really rank high on the list. Social prestige and an imagined better life in the 'West' certainly do, particularly among young people from states like Punjab, Haryana, and parts of Gujarat. \nNothing about this is illegal, and not to sound cynical, these are market forces at work. However, in my view, this represents a more accurate truth. It would be great to see Fifth Estate also report from this side

No country outside Canada keeps illegal immigrates for feelings or humanitaire reasons. What have they done to stay in Canada from 2015.. collecting welfare at home for sure .. how about Mr. India Trudeau is he going to help people that vote for him, ???

US immigration system is broken but it's still the best in western world if you are in engineering, mathematics and tech. I studied and worked in US, moved to India for personal reasons. I realized its difficult to adjust back in India, and US will never let me naturalize, so I moved to Canada. But Canada has hardly any jobs of its own, most of people in tech here work for American companies. In US, even an aerospace, biomedical, virology or genetic engineering person can find job in his/her field despite being on job visa, but in Canada its very tough. \nFew weeks back, I met an Uber driver who came to Canada 4+ years back, mechanical/automative engineer and was not able to find a job in his field despite no need for license with advance education and many years of relevant experience. He became Canadian citizen few weeks back, and guess what, he received 2 job offers in US and was moving to US on TN visa. \nI am myself working on something in Canada that is not my specialization. In US, I can get multiple messages from top government contractors for scientist/researcher positions, but I could not work for them as I don't have citizenship. In canada, despite being a PR, I know many experienced people who are forced to drive uber or do survival jobs.
