I believe that our leaders want immigrants to pour into this country because they plan on switching places with them. Maybe they know something nobody else knows. Like if that volcano goes off the United States is gone but if you're in the southern continents you will survive with massive amounts of resources

During the 1930's media in various countries made immigrants and asylum seekers out to be this horrible thing and demonised them. This came after a huge recession in 1923, the Wall Street crash, and the subsequent dramatic rise of far right parties in various countries, specifically Italy, then Germany and Spain. \nFast-forward to modern times. 2008 saw another global recession. Once again politics swung massively to the right with countries like Italy (once again), Hungary, Austria, Poland and Sweden, voting in right wing governments, France ending in a run off that narrowly defeated the far right, Belgium and Spain looking likely to be heading into heavily right wing governments at the next elections, whilst the US and UK governments both saw their politics swinging far further in that direction, especially the UK right now whilst led by an unelected leader who is demonising people in ways that would make Trump look soft. One of themajor rallying calls: immigration. The way media report on this becomes increasingly demeaning and hateful. During the 1930's much of the European media and even as far as the UK was ramping up the scorn against the ever increasing influx of Jewish immigrants coming from Germany. Even into 1944 there was a vast amount of demonisation of them seeking asylum, despite the knowledge by this point that there were horrific conditions in camps where extermination was becoming ever more apparent. The Nazi German government in 1936 passed laws that enabled them to revoke citizenship and stripped away laws on human rights. It would be great to say that these poor souls who were being demonised in their own country were accepted into nations who could see what was going on and who wanted to help, but that just wasn't the way it went. Media played out as it is now, leading to rejection and a greater number of deaths as a result of this. The way the UK government is currently working, it actually sounds like the maxi government of the mid 30's during the time of the Nürnberg laws. \n \nThe world feels far smaller now with double the amount of people and with things like social media playing a huge role in the lives of many. The ease of access to people around the world has made issues seem to stretch to far more countries now, whereas back then it was a time of empires. I get that there will be many here who support Trump, many who support Biden, there will be Brit's who support Sunak and the rather vicious words of Suella Braverman, whilst others will be more on the side of Starmer (I'm well aware of all the other parties but they don't stand to gain as much). There will be French people backing Macron, whilst others back Le Pen. We could go through each country all the way to the battle between Fujimori and Castillo in Perú, and the stories are much the same, but how will history judge us when people look back to this time? Will it be another occasion where we demonised those trying to escape the horror of the place they had the bad luck to be born in whilst we were luckier? \n\nI know there is hardship everywhere. I'm struggling more than most and I know I can't keep living this way. However, I don't want to be a part of history people look back at and say ‘if only they did something to help prevent this.’. I would rather be a part of history people look back upon and say; ‘that was a boring time period where nothing important happened’. It's already too late for that. Instead I try to remember that, though I was born into a family who never really wanted me, I was lucky enough to be born into a country that could support me during the hardest times. When you look at immigrants, remember that every one of us has immigrants in our family tree somewhere.

Most of the migrants flee their country because of Cartels and gang violence that is a DIRECT result of the US's massive drug appetite.

Our politicians have allowed Canada to become a default destination for so called refugees who are more often economic migrants looking to benefit from Canada's largesse. With such massive numbers of immigrants and refugees entering the country, we should not wonder why affordable housing and rental units are increasingly difficult to find for the existing population and why our social and health systems are overwhelmed.

I just found out one MASSIVE difference between the US and Canada. Canada is attempting to force Jordan Peterson to go through social media reeducation or lose his liscense. That means free speach is dead in Canada. This religates Canada to some third world backwater nothing.\nWhile parts of the US are desperately trying to follow Canada's example, there are enough people in the US standing against it that it has yet to happen. That means the US can still claim to be kind of somewhat of a legitimate country.

You are wrong about Canada protecting and caring about homeless and in-need people. The reality is that even though you don't see all the homeless people, there are tens of thousands of them in each city, more so in the warmer climates. The UN has already been on Canada's back for the abuse of homeless people and the cruelty towards them and those with mental health problems. Canada is a fraud and has been deceiving immigrants and visitors for over a hundred years. Many of the homeless people in Canada, especially in the past 20 years and from the start of the pandemic, continuing to this day, are now including people with good educations and many years of high-level job experiences, as well as whole families. These people became homeless because of massive job layoffs and lost everything. Contrary to the popular Canadian ideology, homeless people are not lazy slobs who don't bother to work and need to get their acts together. Many of the homeless shelters are filled with dangerous people, bed bugs, and diseases. Many homeless people choose to find alternatives to sleep safely. Many homeless women experience terrible sexual assaults that rarely are reported and rarely ever taken seriously by the police. Most alternatives to shelters are limited and there are so many restrictions that qualifying doesn't always happen. Many have had their ID stolen, so they are unable to get jobs, rent homes, or even have a day to shower and clean their clothes. Most donations of clothes, blankets, and sleeping bags are disregarded because most homeless people don't have the means to carry things. Their nutrition is terrible, through no fault of their own. Many food banks will not give food to those without a home. Many soup kitchens will only help periodically and not for every meal. Canada's treatment of homeless people and mentally people is not just disgraceful, but criminal. The general attitude of many Canadians, as taught to them by deliberate government propaganda, is that if you are poor or were abused or a victim of crime, is that they did something to deserve it. Rents across Canada are beyond the reach of the majority of Canadians, yet, Canada refuses to set up a council house system like the UK. There are no emergency homes and no emergency assistance even close to what the UK and other countries across the world provide. Canada's continued abuse, ill-treatment, crimes against humanity, and genocide of the First Nations peoples is not a past history, but an ongoing history that is not about reconciliation. It is about shutting them up so that they cannot speak and get true justice, instead of just a federal government settlement of a meager amount that has only increased the addictions of victims, who have no one to help them or a place to turn. Canada lies about trauma help and treatment for people for having been victims, or have developed PTSD (this is a brain injury and only a mental health problem if the person becomes suicidal or is unable to do the basics of essential living), and worse, Canada lies about this in relation to kids. Alberta has a place that they claim is for treating trauma in kids. However, this place is nothing more than a low-level counseling center to reunite kids with their parents, who have been removed by law. Any child requiring help has to deal with just basic counselors, who are not trained in helping traumatized and PTSD kids. In relation to the First Nations peoples, if the teens have mental health issues, and if they have to be temporarily hospitalized by their parents, social workers and doctors will force joint custody with the parents, to treat the kids or remove them so they can carry on the government's crimes against the First Nations peoples. The crimes continue. In these past few months, a baby was left to die in a basket at a nurse's station in the Misericordia Hospital, Edmonton, Alberta. The mother was allegedly treated like garbage and her child was allegedly called a specimen. But this is not the only case of such abuse of First Nations pregnant mothers and their children. A case over a decade ago allegedly also took place, and the number of these cases in this hospital alone may possibly be much higher, and other hospitals may also be hiding such crimes. An infant, who was the victim of attempted murder by one or the other parent, was put in the care of relatives by social workers, who were totally unaware of the crime, but the one parent, who was put in the hospital's mental health unit, mentioned a version of what had happened, and when the relatives found out, they were allegedly reassured by the hospital that they would deal with the matter. The relatives believed, understandably, that the hospital would report the crime, but it never did. Allegedly the hospital covered up yet another crime. The police in the city, allegedly informed at some point, one of the relatives that no charges could be laid even if the child remembered as the Canadian health services do not believe that children below the age of 4 can remember anything. It was when I heard about this that I realized that the reason Canada has gotten away with the crimes against the 1st Nations, immigrants, Canadians, and who knows how many other victims, through the mandated alleged use of forced assimilation and the alleged Soviet-style education system, is because of this fake claim that children and even infants cannot remember things. This deliberate lie to those relatives allegedly by the police, shows clearly that Canada is following the dangerous path in a more stealthy fashion than the Nazis did to the Jews and others they rounded up, arrested, tortured, and/or eventually murdered. Your perceptions are limited by your obvious lack of real knowledge and real experience. Please, if you are going to make such a video, live in Canada, all over Canada for at least 30 years, then comment, please!

I want to move from us to Canada, mean reason the immigration is broken in usa for Indian and I don’t want my Indian born kid to face same uncertainty . We are earning in upward of 500k and have to take massive pay cut. After reading the comments and watching videos. I’m getting so confuse. I’m okay to earn less money but Canada should at least provide better healthcare and housing. Look like lot of thing are broken in Canada. Does moving to Canada is really worth? one thing you don't understand. Canada was a great country before the massive amounts of immigrants came. There has always been immigration but since 2000 its been too much and at some point things were bound to break and that time has come. I was born there, left when i was 22.... you guys can have it!

I dont get the reasons that are not the Taxes/High cost of living/Healthcare\n\nEverything else is really just subjective, weather, lifestyle and homesickness are things I've never had an issue with, this is subjective to where you live in Canada as well. I love that I have hot summers and cold winters, its the best of both worlds. I was raised here by immigrant parents so maybe this is an issue they've had but I grew up in a extremely multicultural area in Toronto, I experienced my culture much more than the Canadian Culture and others as well.\n\nIn my opinion, while Canada isn't perfect now, it will only get better in the future. As long as people don't abandon the Country and the government doesn't abandon its Citizens than I have high hopes for Canada. Specifically Toronto, it has the potential to become even more massive than it already is.

What i understand from a lot of people I know who've come here from abroad is that for them, the attractive thing about Canada is political stability, a functioning infrastructure and a lack of massive corruption. there's some pretty disgusting countries out there :(

To me, the problem is threefold. a) Toronto and Ontario in general - and perhaps the whole of Canada - are accepting way more immigrants than they have quality jobs for. If you need taxi drivers and plumbers, maybe this experience should be valued way higher than education as part of the existing immigration programs (which is not the case). At least then potential immigrants know this before they come and get stuck in low-paying or relatively OK-paying but repetitive and demoralizing jobs with debts and mortgages that become a trap preventing them from leaving. It's also partially on immigrants themselves who come to Toronto to only find out there's 100 people competing for one spot and that you need to be exceptional - or connected through your ethnic network - to work regular white-collar jobs. b) The official bipartisan policy of non-integration. The naive expectation that having people live in ethnic enclaves will somehow make the overall culture richer is not what happens: instead, people tend to stick to their own communities and the common culture thus gets eroded and limited to economic and financial matters. This makes some cities feel like one large business with everyone networking 24/7 instead of socializing normally. And arguably, having the right culture / social life is what motivates already successful people move in the first place. So when they come and they find out there's nothing but money talk and hustling, they leave (if they're smart). Quebec is doing better in that regard, but then Quebec is not really Canada and it's been pressured to cave in to the same money-centred, uncultured and disconnected society by the feds for decades now. The States is smarter in that it actually makes sure to integrate its immigrants (and let's be honest, many immigrants like being part of a new culture if it fits them) c) Treating real estate as an investment and not as a basic necessity (as Japan or some Nordic countries do, for example). That coupled with a lot of Asian money being laundered in Canada through immigration channels and private equity firms buying whole apartment blocks for rental purposes has led to the highest housing price increase in all of the developed world in the past 20 years or so. The median price of a condo in Toronto is higher than in New York despite the massive gap in salaries and the fact that New York is one of the most expensive cities in the world to begin with. Some draconian measures are needed here to prevent foreign - or even out-of-province ownership -, second property ownership and corporate ownership for renting purposes.

I moved to Canada about 17 years ago and yes it is an absolute pain to jump through all the hoops they want you to go through. I was only here a few days and I came from Ireland as a brick and stone mason they recruited me from Ireland and wanted me to come out. Within three days on the job I learned I would be getting less wages than the other bricklayers. I packed up my tools and walked off the job I notified the employer and the union by emails and told him I’d be flying back home in a few days. Well the union and the employers came running straight away to get me to stay. Trying to explain that after a couple of months I’d be on the same money as the rest of the guys. This is where I explain to them that taking home C$1100 was already a pay cut a massive pay cut as are used to take home 2500 to 2200 Euros living in Ireland. I moved to Canada for a change of lifestyle but that doesn’t mean I was going to be taken advantage of. And that’s when they said they would pay me the same as everybody else. Sometimes you just have to stand up for yourself and be willing to follow through. They even reimbursed me for the airline ticket I bought to go back. Some skill sets they really need in this country in addition Canadians population growth is absolutely dependent upon immigration as the family sizes and birth rates are critically to lol to sustained a country. As I’ve said I’ve been living here 17 years now and I am a Canadian citizen I guess that makes me an Irish Canadian now.

I am a British Columbian who briefly lived in Quebec, when the army posted me there for basic, I have to say Quebec is horrible, outside of Montreal, if you do not speak French. I also spent 5 years in Alberta & I would rank Alberta as number ☝️ of all of Canada’s provinces. \n\nThat all being said, I am sick of this country’s politics. I deeply regret serving this country due to how badly our current PM has treated us veterans, only PM to ever sue veterans & make massive cuts to veterans support funding. Furthermore, he is most corrupt in our history, & easily the least democratic or respectful to our laws and/or constitution… yet he has been re-elected TWICE!… because… reasons ??‍♂️ I do not know how dumb you have to be to vote liberal given Trudeau’s horrible track record on a laundry list of issues. I'm a Canadian, and can comfortably state that Canada's reputation was cemented in the early seventies, and anyone choosing to come here based on that reputation, does so under false pretences. The majority of the immigrants I have come into contact with quickly become disillusioned with Canada, and eventually feel compelled to leave. The cost of living, combined with a lack of opportunities, and low wages, means that leading a normal life here is largely out of the question. Crime is a huge problem in BC, as Vancouver has become the de facto money laundering centre for North America. As a result, Canada is now extremely attractive for all the wrong reasons. At present, Canada is experiencing internal mass migration patterns driven by economic necessity, as the cost of living is prohibitively expensive in most urban centres. There is also a corresponding mass migration pattern of those who were born here away from the major cities, as Canada now lets in 500K, largely unvetted, immigrants into the country each year, most of whom are from war-ravaged, or third world, countries. With so many disparate languages and cultures from all over the world, it makes life utterly chaotic. The different nationalities never mix, and there is no effort expended to integrate with the Canadians who were born here. The Chinese live in Richmond, the East Indians in Surrey, and they have NOTHING to do with each other. Having traveled abroad, it's shocking how primitive it is in Canada. My advice to anyone thinking of coming here: Would you buy a ticket for a cruise on a ship that has a massive hole under the waterline?

I moved to Canada ?? in 2016 , in Winnipeg Manitoba which has freezing ? temperature in winter . Canada is massive even I face problems but I was flexible and I changed my career I was working and studying and I paid less fees same like Canadian citizen coz I came permanent resident . Some fields have more income and taxes but you will get benefits depending . Every country has problems and challenges but I love Canada ??. I did my home work in my home country. I have more Canadian friends then from my country. Love ❤️ you Canada ??.

Well, I doesn't take a genius to figure out, that, countries who have it well off due to many reasons, will continue to have immigrants pooring in, it won't stop, why? Well because the world turned its back on alot of countries who are suffering due to massive corruption, socialism, communism and nobody is helping these countries. So naturally those people will flood to other countries. Nobody helps these people retake their homeland.\n\nEven my country, was captured by communist radicals, in 30 years we went from 1st world to 3rd world ghetto. The government is among the most corrupt in the world and are all rubbing shoulders with other dictators of other nations who In turn make their peoples lives hell. Naturally people in my country left in droves too, and continue to do so, because the media is not showing the world what's going on here, nor does anybody really care. What country you may wonder? A hint, Musk comes from there, he left behcause there was no hope for oppertunity, even if it's not his reason, it's just the only reason anybody actually leaves.\n\nWe too wanna retake our home from these bigoted radicals, but they hold all the cards. And nobody from the UN will even help us or any other country for that matter because they have their own problems. Problems they wouldn't have really had if they actually helped out in the world. So basically everyone is shooting themselves in the foot because their doing nothing, and their actions to fix it are actually the cause of the problem.

This is why education matters, folks. Also why teachers need to be paid more. It takes a lot of time and effort to educate ignorance. The epicenter of the coronavirus may have been an Asian country, but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been anywhere else on this massive Earth. Things happen, so learn to pivot and adjust to the new circumstance. It's an internal recalibration that's doesn't call for hate or aggression. Support education.

The tax in Canada is not very high. At least compared to many other Western Nations. \nI came from Germany to Canada and the tax in Canada is a joke me according to me. Income tax with social contributions is roughly 42% even on average salaries in Germany. Sales tax is 19%. Cost for energy and fuel is almost ten times higher than in Canada.\nSure, Canada is pretty expensive. Housing, food and medication are massively overpriced compared to many at EU countries. I need medication every month and in Canada I pay roughly 180 Dollar while in Germany it was zero. Even without the health insurance I would only pay 30€ a month for that.\n\nOverall Canada is good, but doesn't necessarily offer a better quality of life. I only live here because I like Canadian people and the mentality is great.

The more I watch CBC shows the more I find the country has massive flaws in ways of dealing with criminals and corporate criminality......

Trudeau is part of the UN Agenda by signing the migration pact he has given the UN total control of our borders. The UN will have the right to decide how many refugees will enter Canada the plan is to let in as much as millions within the next 10 years. Our culture, history everything we worked will be destroyed. Canada in a very short time wil not be recognizable. I did not see “anti-Islamic sentiment” in this reportage. I saw a definitive insularity among Muslims against their host country Canada, a growing sense of anxiety among Canadians at the artificially created growth of Islam in the country and a lot of inertia on the part of Canada’s official response to Islam which has been inspired by the naive, school kid Trudeau. What surprises me most is why there is not a massive revanchist movement against Islamists - why everyday we don’t hear about mosques being burned to ashes and Muslims being beaten, killed or mutiliated. That should be the proper response to the growth of Islam - in any country.

If he hadn't immigrated illegally he wouldn't be $15,000 in the hole. How stupid can you be knowing full well the concequences to your actions if you get caught breaking the law by illegally immigrating. Your family and kids being possibly being separated and spending massive amounts of money on lawyers. Look at all these comments about how people don't want these immigrants in their country. Nationals shouldn't have to change laws to cater to these people.

Regardless of what your political stance is no country in the world is okay with massive amounts of immigration. Most of these people never assimilate and become productive members of society. No country is capable to support the influx of people, it's unfortunate but true.
