These tarrifs could have been avoided if his cabinet could have reached a deal and good diplomacy. I have zero confidence with Trudeau and his liberal party they can navigate any turbulent waters with Trump at the helm. Federal election cant come soon enough.

I am extremely saddened and embarrassed by our president's actions. Seeing what Donald Trump has done in the past and is doing now, I pray for him and other world leaders every day. Their political choices matter. I did not vote for Trump, his first nor second term. He did so much harm during his last presidency that fueled so much division. And yes, Vladimir Putin is absolutely playing him, and he can not see that. I'll keep on praying, and leave it in God's hands. I stand with Canada, Ukraine, and Mexico.

Many Americans just assume the rest of the world is illiterate and stupid, like the masses of Americans are. I live in Maine on the border with Canada and im absolutely ashamed at what trump is doing. Canada is an incredible country and a great ally to the US, and this entire thing that trump is doing is reprehensible. It would be an improvement to have a leader like Trudeau who can actually get a point across.

Even when leaders of other countries speak “harshly” which I think is really just speaking directly, but the leaders I’ve heard in their harsh’s tones, never speak the despicable language that Trump uses with his derogatory, name-calling and vicious, lashing out that he does he never pauses, take a deep breath and can consider the 2% of truth his adversaries are speaking of he simply can’t negotiate or compromise or even listen for God sake. Trudeau is serving the final moments of his last term, but his approval ratings shot up since the Trump presidency started. Trump genuinely such a crappy leader than other leaders with approval ratings in the dirt are gaining support for going against him. As an American, it’s damn amazing. I hope the next PM of Canada keeps up the same energy and doesn’t concede to the US.
