Great speech that hits on some very serious points.

I have a hard time taking this guy seriously after what he has done to his own country.

I am Canadian and I don't trust Trudeau about Fentanyl. Fentanyl is a very serious problem in Canada. You can find it in schools and around corners of almost every community. Our government has no intention to solve Fentanyl problem here. If so, its not possible to stop the flow of Fentanyl from Canada to USA.

Hell, make it 100% tariffs and close both borders completely. Seriously, I couldn't possibly care less. I'll somehow do without maple syrup.

WHY DID WE CHOOSE TRUMP? Why do we keep choosing a party that has NEVER shown they were for the people? And of course, we knew what Trump was going to do. He was already president and we said 'no more'. He told us what he was going to do, we knew he was going to do it but many said 'oh he's not serious'. If you voted for Trump, you voted for this. If you are a democrat and didn't vote for Kamala, or vote at all, you voted for this. You voted for higher prices, less benefits for regular people, bigger tax cuts for the rich and a larger national debt and the US no longer a leading country.

I have had many Canadian friend including my first serious girlfriend. I worked with exchange Candian military folks and saw them as full partners. On D-Day Candian troops had their own beach which the successfully captured. They were by our side in Korea and all of our other wars. DJT's excuses for the tariff are fabricated lies exactly as it made up lies that President Zelensky did not show thanks and appreciation. Why is DJT's admin lying? Canada has basically 2 army divisions, the US has 4 paratroop divisions, and the planes to deliver them. 51st state is serious as it gets.

We have maintained a high level standard of living, when by all rights we should not have it. Many want to blame government, but one part of the problem is an over reliance as an exporter of raw natural resources and a reliance on generally a single market (USA) for our goods. Interestingly enough the problems have been reinforced by governments of every type. What annoys me most is that these issues have been known for a long time, and the various governments have been scared to do anything about it. And they never took Sir Donald's words seriously - either about the tarriffs or statehood. I have heard zero from any level of government looking for new markets for our goods, yet they have had since November to do something. Going to be a stressful ride for many of us. I am recently retired and wonder if I should be worred.

If my country doesn't get housing costs under control they're in serious trouble. The average house in the town I live in is something like 900K and there's basically no local economy. With costs so high I can't afford to start a family. If we keep gaining old folks needing healthcare while keeping housing expenses high and wages low taxes will have to keep going up.\n\nI am not going to continue to pay huge portions of my income for the benefit of the elderly while I can't afford a decent lifestyle. I don't want to but it seems moving to the US or elsewhere is the only option if things continue this way. At list point the local governments are so invested in denying housing permits and abusing zoning laws to prevent housing being built that the only way to fix it would be to strip the provinces and cities of the right to decide their own zoning bylaws. \n\nI want to see a change in the constitution that makes zoning bylaws illegal. There are too many people thinking of their self interest and not of the Nations interest. We deserve to lose the right to decide what can be built in our neighborhoods. We have been abusing this right for too long

I have to deal with these loser every night. They are abusive af in the restaurant and steal orders on the regular while just showing up under new accounts when they are banned, I seriously couldn't care less.

Im Canadian with a lot of health issues. Many trips to the ER, the longest I have had to wait, was about 15 mins. And if it was real serious, I was seen by a doctor immediately. I hear people complain about wait time, but the problem we have is that many people take advantage of the ER instead of making an apt with their family Dr. So if it's not an emergency and you go to the E.R. you will wait.
