As a millennial, a woman, a teacher and a US citizen, I have never seen the rise of stupidity and fundamentalism as I see with Trump and the Republican Party in general these days. It’s a cult manifesting in mass histeria and madness. The worst part is the world is watching and the stain and bitterness linger.

For Trump this was never about the border or fentanyl. It is about destroying democracy using the system of democracy. It is about undermining the laws of the US Constitution in pursuit of installing a fascist regime in its place.
