The Century Initiative at work under Trudeau's government, no matter the cost to average Canadians. Getting over a million newcomers a year, with our population climbing at over 3% a year. Justin Trudeau’s popularity index has dropped for immigration and various other policies, but he is still a safer bet for Canada and for the world than right wing conservatives. If you get it, you get it ?

It is mostly the fault of the incompliant and corrupt Liberal government for the massive influx of unskilled India workers/students. Under previous sane governments, there were manageable caps that controlled the influx and allowed for proper immigration of vetted and skilled workers, but the Liberals stopped properly vetting people and basically opened the flood gates. For a Canadian company to hire foreign workers, they used to have to prove there were no Canadian workers to do that job, so foreign workers were mostly used in seasonal agriculture work, but due to very shady government deals with big corporations Trudeau approved paying wage subsidy and turning a blind eye to Canadian workers so Singh Hortons (and many other big businesses) could have workers for a cut rate and the government tax dollars paid up to 70% of wages and welfare. Also Foreign workers think they can stay here once their visa's expire, refusing to leave. There is simply no need for Canada to bring in over a million Indians that are in hard times in their own country. Our welfare or culture can't stand it. Not sure if you missed it or not, but India's foreign minister at the start of summer, thanked Trudeau for taking all their criminals, and low caste people. But People need to follow proper immigration policy, and not buy a ticket to Canada from a India scammer guaranteeing citizenship, which has been the case as well. Canada has been too soft on its immigration policies. It's high time they stop these nonsensical student visas and send back these students after they finish their education. They just come here to get a permanent residency buy hook or by crook. Also, Canada needs to send back the refugees who have scammed their way into Canada. I am Canadian born citizen, unemployed, 2 and a 1/2 years. Because I didn't know that the Trudeau government in 2022 when I lost my job due to the pandemic was allowing them to import T.F.W's as executive assistance my level of experience into my industry. I couldn't figure out why I couldn't get an interview withe almost 20yrs of experience and I was trying every trick in the book but a week ago I learned that they brought in over 2 years 300,000 admins at all levels from E.A's to receptionist now. So imagine my horror and shock to learn that 5 days ago. But you walk in everywhere. And it's just Indians from every part of South Asia and I am all for immigration I'm a child of an immigrant, but immigration is a science When dealing with a country like Canada, where it's designed to be many cultures like a 20 bean soup. You're supposed to try and keep it at being a 20 bean soup and within 3 years it became like a 2 bean soup. It's a science where you're replacing your dead, and then you bump it up like 10% to grow the population slowly with GDP so that you don't have so many Canadians. Unemployed and temporary foreign workers that come are employed. So everybody's contributing but the way they did the open door everybody bum rush. And over run the country. Our economy is now 60% dependent on people who aren't residents. They're temporary which means when they leave our fake economy is actually only built on 40% to 30% of Canadians. That's an economy that will crash because it's never supposed to be weighted that way, Canadians are supposed to be 60% to 70% of the economy and foreign workers are to be the rest. So we're in trouble when they finally go home, but they need to put a moratorium on PR's, Work permits, LIMA's, T.F.W's and restrict all educational institutions on how many Students they can accept so private schools don't scam students by taking their money then telling them they don't have a seat for them to attend class that is just criminal and do so untill end of 2025 and then review status again for 2026. So Canadians can have a shot at getting work and then slowly introduce them back in as needed for proper slow population growth and not just a free-for-all ability to work anywhere in the whole country. Major cities and everything like that. So people like me can finally get back to work.

I was never racist or taught to see people of other ethnicities or religions as inferior so I don't hate Indians, nor do I show them disrespect unless warranted but the rampant abuse of our systems has messed up so many things. I know of large families of Indians who came as asylum seekers who'd come over separately while claiming different names so when they all come together some families are getting $30k or more per month just for being here. They drive expensive new luxury vehicles and mostly wear expensive designer clothes and are given homes while at the same time us Canadians born and raised here are struggling to even get to eat well every day or have a home to begin with. It's not entirely the fault of Indians, the blame also needs to be shared by our gov't as well since they opened the borders and have mostly waived the process of vetting who comes into our country. It's never a bad thing to have people who genuinely add to the collective greatness of a country but we have let in too many freeloaders and even criminals, the Indian gangs extorting businesses for millions in BC and Alberta for example. Nothing wrong with Indian immigrants as long as we can balance the needs and safety of everyone involved as well. Right now there is no balance and the results are catastrophic. Canada never used to be host to so much divide and hatred as it is now, we can thank Trudeau and his people for that.

The Trudeau government has been bending the rules concerning immigrants studying in Canada. The loudest of this group are foreign students from India. The conditions of their student visas include that they must have the ability to support themselves while they are studying in Canada. This is common with students from India, they lie about their financial circumstances to get the visa, then they come here and complain they need financial help. Why would Canadian tax payers foot the bill for a bunch of fraudsters. If they are found to be in violation of the conditions that govern their eligibility for their student visa, then the laws should be applied and they should be deported immediately. If they can't obey the laws and obligations necessary to obtain and keep their student visa, then it's a no-brainer. The world is taking advantage of the good will of Canadians, enough already. Send the liars and scammers home.

Canada has not been the same as it was 10 years ago, why I say 10?, because life in Canada before Trudeau was great, people were happier, Canadians were proud to be Canadian and Canada was a place many people wanted to visit and immigrate to. Since Justin Trudeau has been our PM, Canada has become a terrible place, housing prices have doubled, cost of living doubled, pretty much everything in Canada has doubled including crime and drugs. Yet when the prices of housing was going up, many homeowners loved it, even though it meant that the poor, the actual poor and not you lot, were stacked like firewood into smaller and smaller rooms with no AC so it was hot in the summer and freezing in the winter and the slum lords are having a hey day. \nThe actual first nations people are homeless and being killed daily and are arrested for being poor daily but you lot think you have it bad. \n\nSorry, when non first nations people say that they will leave Canada because its not how they remember it when they were kids and its worse now so they will jump ship to gentrify other nations, I just shake my head and hold open the door as you leave the nation and wonder at your arrogance and egoism.

Welcome to the ex-pat club. I left Canada 14 years ago. Talking to people I still keep in touch with in Canada I realize just after Trudeau got in power that Canada has changed. I suggest if you plan on a move do your research on where you are thinking of moving to. Do not rely on a vacation as they are very different than actually living in a place. I speak from experience. Do I get homesick? Yes but right now I would not even think of moving back to Canada. I am very settled and happy living in the EU even with the problems here. Some things to check out are various cities or towns in various regions of a country, healthcare, schools if you have children, cost of running a car (petro, insurance, etc), price of food, utilities, etc. If your work papers or degrees are accepted, what visas you will need. Once you have made a decision, start learning the language. I could do it anyone can do it.

It's almost irreparable the damage done by Trudeau to Canada and its citizens, but keep fighting to get rid of this vermin for the sake of your children's future.

Sadly if Harris gets elected in the US, it will quickly follow down the same path as Trudeau's Canada and makes it a less than ideal option to move to.

I was born and grew up in Mississauga Canada, lived here my entire life. I've seen the defecation of this country in the last 10 years under this liberal extremists Trudeau rule. I see no potential anymore to stay in Canada. Yes I can work but i am paying everything to the government and its not like they are putting money into the community, they spend it on themselves, foreigners, to other countries nothing helps Canadas infrastructure. For me a Québécois, we missed the boat in 1995. Too bad if you don’t like it but we got screwed by newly arrived immigrants back then and we are being drowned by immigrants now. The difference is that you too in the ROC are being drowned. I am a Quebec nationalist, it’s in my guts. My family has roots going back to New France. Canada has always been an imposition for us just as we to the First Nations I guess. That’s unfortunately neither here nor there at this point in history and I apologize for it. Since for me this place is where I feel the most a part of and have understood long ago that the ROC had done everything to negate us as a people a nation and the dream of an independent country with close ties to the ROC is and probably never was in the cards, I have started hoping for some kind of political union with mother France since it has become painfully clear that Canada as a strong bicultural self respecting truly independent country is a bygone notion. Justin Trudeau and the liberals have destroyed this Country. I was born and raised in Canada in a town in Ontario along one of the Great Lakes Lake Erie. My parents and even their parents were born and raised in that same area I am from and Canada was a great place but since Justin Trudeau become PM everything started to change and not in a slow unnoticeable way it was fast. Drugs and homelessness started to become a thing something I have never seen in my life and even my neighbourhood and town started to change too with people that don't speak english and wait times in the ER started to be so much longer and even finding a doctor when I moved to the city was impossible to get. I have not traveled much only in a car or truck and never been on a airplane but I am considering moving out of Canada too. I am going to wait and see what happens in the election and see if things begin to charge before I leave the only place I know and start new somewhere else. I have been thinking of Southeast Asia like Laos or Thailand because there Canadian funds are worth something and you can live and at for very cheap and get a very nice place for half or less of what rent is here.

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)
