Not surprised. Trump, you're an idiot. You will lose all your allies and significant trade lanes because you have no idea how to run your country and negotiate. Your economy and people will suffer. If you isolate US from the rest of the world, who will come to your aid if Russia decides to take you over? Where will the Americans flee to? Mexico?

While a belligerent Atlanticist imperialism is becoming a thing of the past, in the meantime; asserting that Zelensky does not want peace and thereby implying that America does want peace is classic Trump spin. What America really wants is victory over Russia and eventually China. Having failed against Russia using Ukraine as it's proxy army, a Trump administration discards Zelensky's Ukraine while cleverly deceiving most observers that Zelensky is the only one interested in continuing the war. Contemporary Atlanticist imperialism in the form of a Tump administration is deliberately and deceptively stepping back from it's Ukraine project to prepare it's next - albeit doomed to fail; project aimed at victory over Russia and eventually China.

Journalists need to dig into Mussayev’s claims, demand declassification of intelligence files, and treat this like the national emergency that it is. \nCongress needs to subpoena Mussayev immediately. His testimony must be public, and every document he has should be reviewed. If there is proof that Trump has been compromised since the 1980s, the American people need to know. \nThe Justice Department needs to stop pretending that Trump is just another politician. If there is evidence that the sitting president of the United States is working in Russia’s interests, he must be removed from office and prosecuted for espionage. \nAnd the American public? I think they’ve come up with a plan to divide the world between three empires - an American empire, a Russian empire, and a Chinese empire. I think one scenario we need to consider, is that trump is going to whine about no one wanting to do business with him as everyone will retaliate after tariffs (trade war indeed), and that he'll then turn to russia for trading. It sounds insane, but this is trump, making the insane possible.
