I'm a Scottish person who has just had maple syrup and bacon on my pancakes. Won't be buying any American pancake toppings that's for sure. Go Canada. Really hoping when Scotland qualify for the Mexico/USA/Canada world cup in 2026 that we don't end up in the USA. Don't trust them anymore!

Wow, how quickly you all seem to forget. We have been paying them large amounts for years and we as Americans have been paying for it with our taxes. Canadian here . Not interested in buying anything american nor visiting states ever again .Been to usa multiple times and will not go back , at least until there is some leadership that I can respect. I have love for Americans, but never to the detriment of Canada.

A message to Trudeau. Put an export tax on the Oil and Electricity sold to the United States. Open up new European Markets for Oil and Natural Gas product and sell directly to Europe and Japanese markets. China needs oil, there is plenty of market around the world for our products. The Tariff's imposed by Trump is only going to make product to the US more expensive for their own citizens, and with Tariff's on all American imports, if they can't make it, or they don't have the raw materials to make it themselves, they will have to pay more. It is not necessary to impose Tariff's on USA Products to penalize Canadians, but Canadians will find new markets to replace the US, and we won't even notice it happened. We have alternatives. The southern islands are great vacation locations, and with the weather disasters they have suffered over the past few years, they could use the tourist support to help rebuild, and, their people are friendly and don't carry guns.

As an American, it's refreshing to hear someone speak intelligently from a leadership position. Well done Sir, stand your ground. I'm embarrassed to be an American and scared at what the next 3.75 years is going to bring to our country.

Maybe building a Boarder Wall on America's Northern Boarder would be a good idea. Canada is responsible to guard our boarders and allow in only those who we feel qualify. You have closed the Travel Agencies to United States travel, nobody wants to go to your country, and I heard that there is going to be a 250% Tariff on hotel accommodations for Americans visiting Canada. It is not only about the Tariffs on Canada, who Used to be your friends, it is about your new friend Russia, who support Terrorist organizations all over the world, including the ones in Gaza who held Americans Hostage, who supports IRAN who supports Russia in murdering and raping women, kidnapping children in Ukraine, torturing and murdering citizens with their hands tied behind their backs. I don't like Trudeau, but this speech was great. Intelligent when he needed to be, simple when addressing Trump. A strong start to this trade war which as he said, we don't want. Who cares? Seriously Of course he's upset. Canada relies heavily on the U.S., with about 75% of its exports going to America, making us a major contributor to their GDP. Instead of making other countries richer, we should focus on manufacturing and building here at home. This would keep more money circulating in the U.S., boosting economic growth and strengthening our own GDP. A stronger domestic economy means more jobs, higher wages, and greater financial stability for Americans. Regardless of who’s president, we need fair trade policies that benefit the U.S. just as much as our partners.
