I also came to Canada in 2006 as an immigrant with my 2 bags and started my new life with empty handed which almost all Indians had started on their time. Yes it’s very hard to adopt other cultures 100% for first generation. But have you think how this new immigrants have their own house and good jobs or business. Why their kids achieved higher education without any loan because their parents worked 7 days without looking around so called culture. They believe in work hard and focus on their family and kids and in extra time visit temple or Gurudwara just to keep live their believes. Do you know how many places where you find 3 times free hot food for everyone in Brampton at Gurudwara and Temple without looking at his originality. \nDon’t think the immigrants are coming here are poor in their country or helpless like refugees. Most of are millionaires in India but in Indian culture the stupid thoughts is to earn for next 7 generations so because of that greediness they work here 7 days and that’s why they are not homeless. As they have some values of their Indian culture they have not drug addictions.\nNot 100% Indian are good and loyal or honest. There are few which you can find in any culture or religion.\nSo in bottom line immigrants are here because of govt policies and invitations. They are not came as refugees. You can’t forced anyone where they have to stay and in how many percentage. Many people don’t live in GTA or ran away from GTA because they can’t afford house and can’t stand in competitive market. Government should skilled own citizen or make more powerful before invite highly skilled immigrants from other countries otherwise new immigrants will take jobs from original and that will be continued with us too.

A significant driver of Canada’s housing affordability problem is the treatment of housing as an investment rather than a basic human need. Housing has increasingly been treated as an investment rather than just a place for people to live. Homes are seen as vehicles for wealth accumulation rather than places to live. This approach has attracted large institutional investors (multinational corporations) who buy up properties, raising prices and squeezing out potential homeowners, especially first-time buyers. This problem iget worse because of the use of homes as a tax shelter, benefiting those with capital to invest in markets like Vancouver and Toronto. Greed and profit. Failure of our government to ignore this issue and dodge their obligation of providing a country where Canadians can live reasonable and thrive. Unfortunately it's happening around the world. Immigrants are NOT causing the problem. They are the scapegoat.

she doesn't understand that under Trump she wouldn't be let into a country in the first place and having a green card will not matter, she will also be deported, they don't care if you are legally in US

Immigration is ongoing Colonization. And Canadians are MAD, because you have allowed for people from countries with HIGH RATES of pro-sexually violent cultural views, and low standards of hygiene and politeness into our country. And you let them come here as students and take up first world spots for first world Canadians. And FYI, there is tons of sexual violence on university campuses…so that tracks.
\nYou let these people who are anti-dark skin into the country, and then you say because they are “racialized” they can’t be racist. That’s not how racism works, and I want my racists to be domestic, because then at least we share a cultural thread of unity: Canadian born and raised. Why are we being subjected to this B.S??
\nGOC has not created a way for us to report immigrants who are rude or abusive to Canadians, and who have over-stayed their visas. DEPORT THEM. When they commit crimes, instead of deporting them, you let them stay. They’re old women are also crooks and in on it. Imagine bringing the people who call and scam from Indian and Nigeria to Canada so they can just do it from here. Wild. And the Chinese (not Asians, I mean the Chinese)…are the colonizers of their part of the world, AND they cheat in schools. So you’re giving graduates spots to cheaters, liars, anti-Canadian, and racists. Canada never had a diversity problem, we had a supremacy problem, and we still do. And Canadian DOES NOT MEAN WHITE. So stop making this a race thing.
\nYou let them snap up our houses and our land and jack up the prices, and force us into homelessness and prostitution to pay rent, and into drug addictions because of a lack of purpose. So the GOC literally just implemented the same strategy they used to place indigenous people onto reserves, but now it’s for all Canadians. And make no mistake: high rents for bento-box “luxury”/rat infested housing are min-reserves that are not built for Canadian bodies or our aging/disabled population.
\nDEPORT THEM AND REFRAIN FROM GIVING THESE ANCHOR BABIES CITIZENSHIP. If they come here to have their babies, instead of giving them a Canadian birth certificate, you should be getting that certificate from their consulate. Cause at this point that’s just trafficking and financial fraud/abuse. We all know they come here to get the benefits and the domestic tuition, and a lot go right back to China. And it does seem to be the Chinese, Indians, and Nigerians (a lovely EDI mix) of thieves.
\nCanada has spoken, we don’t want them, we don’t like them; and they do not like us, they want us out of our own country. This isn’t a racial issue; this is a cultural issue. You cannot have these anti-West people in our western nation. They gotta go. And who cares about the international students anymore or the money “they bring in”. Universities are registered not-for-profits in Canada, so the for-profit argument can’t track.
\nCanada needs a RICO law so we can more easily seize their assets and expel them, and hold universities to the fire for this crap, and the government officials getting kickbacks. The GOC is the largest human trafficking pimps, and the universities are bottom bi***es. And don’t think we don’t know that the 30% cap DOESN’T apply to companies like Navitas who recruit for the universities, are housed in the universities, but are separate, private companies.

What? We need a complete halt to immigration until we deport all the people who shouldn't have been able to get here in the first place. We have a bunch of terrorists supporters running around our country protesting and taking up resources that should be for ACTUAL Canadians. Not to mention all the real criminals that they let in. Known terrorists and cartel members, who brought weapons and drugs in.

Reduction is not good enough, we need a freeze. Massive immigration has destroyed our country thanks to Trudeau who doesn’t know how to run a country and never should have been put into power in the first place. The only reason he’s doing this now is because he’s hoping it will get him votes because he knows he’s done. He should have been thrown out years ago

How come the government of Canada didn't clean up the mess they made in the first place with the Indigenous peoples. Instead, they bring in the third world countries and make things worse?
|
| 2024-10-25 | 0 |
Way to many Indians it's just crazy. They come over then they bring their parents, aunts, uncles\nGrandparents. Let's look after Canada first. And raise workers wages so Canadians can take the jobs. Every place you go it's Indians. Brampton is very bad it's not like even being in Canada. Sort through the imagination and deport them back. It's not even comfortable here any more.

Trudeau increased immigration from 1x to 4x in a very short span and the country has never been worse...he needs to visit Toronto and get out of his bubble. The church over at King and Church st.... The garden of edan they call it is filled with tents for the first time this summer. Never happened before. The quality of life for too many people is extremely difficult. The government programs within service ontario are also discriminating against Canadians. There for new comers for the most part despite our tax dollars paying for it and we cant get help. Need to pause immigration in its entirity intill a plan is in place that makes sense .

How entitled and rude to ask this question in the first place

The students came to Canada claiming education . If they are now upset that they can't stay in Canada, were they dishonest in the first place \nas to why they came to Canada? Would that dishonesty not carry on in everything else they say and do in Canada?

If jarnail singh was a true saint then why didn't he surrender in the first place. Why did he let indian army attack the temple. Why did he let innocent people die. He did all this for the power and used darbar sahib as a shield. Also, name a saint who keeps Ak-47s and make bunkers in the place of workship. Come on guys common sense. He was also responsible for killings of so many hindus in punjab way before 1984.

Every able bodied man fleeing their country is a coward. The funny thing is none of the migrants even want to assimilate. They come to our countries still holding onto the same idiotic ideals that ruined their homelands in the first place.

Thanks for sharing, I believe the immigration system here before granting visas should test every newcomer’s understanding of rules and Canadian culture along with all existing requirements. And the consequences for breaking some of the basic rules must be severe so that no one breaks them in first place. And we certainly need the quotas, Canada does not have the infrastructure to host a billion people.

When I first visited Amsterdam and walked around my hotel looking for a coffee in 2016, 15 min later, I came back to my hotel giving coffee to my wife and told, watch something bad is going to happen here soon, extremists are trying recruit people of color. Since I was new to the place, I came across 3 people asking me if I am a muslim. I politely said no. This incident was good enough for me to guess, but I did not tell anyone except my wife because no one will believe me including my wife. Two years later, Amsterdam terrorists attack happened. Many of my observations in several other places/countries came true. It looked like, Einstein once said, I do not know what weapons we use in the third world war, But I can guess certainly for the 4th, Sticks and Stones. \n\nNo country should harbor extremists a safe haven, esply. on religious grounds. Justin's support to Khalistani extremists will bring a lot of misery to Canadians, just watch. I am 100% liberal, not by definition but by common sense. Helping people is my nature, but my help is to stand on their feet not burden to anybody. So, elect good politicians not on party basis but by character.

A Ukrainian immigrant here. Absolutely in love with beautiful canadian nature, cute little houses, especially townhouses in toronto, just so wholesome. As for life, you gotta be some sort of specialist like a doctor, or a proper construction worker, or a truck driver to have a decent life that goes beyond just getting by and eking out an existence. On my own i can make enough money for food and rent, but thats about it, and im happy about it, really, i get to be alive thanks to canada, but i really hope i could move out of here as soon as it becomes safe, or just move to a cheaper country thats a decent distance away from russia. I ended up being unemployed and i do feel like im in quite a real danger on eventually becoming homeless if i dont manage to procure a job, and you know how the job market is now. As for health care, i simply dont have access to it, at least i dont have a family doctor and have been trying for a while to get one. I haven't tried walking ins yet since i prioritize food over health now but i might someday. I just hope that whatever sickness bugs me is minor, i cant do anything about it. My teeth hurt too, but i cant afford a dentist, and ive found one Clinique in toronto that helps immigrants fix their teeth for cheap, they can help you with three teeth in total, and i've used up one of it, and saving the rest for real emergencies. I cant eat anything except for real soft food, and i know im not gonna get any help i could afford any time soon.\nOnce i get a job i will be saving as much money as i can to leave Canada, i don't know where yet but i'm doing my research and hopefully will find a place, and if not well, sucks to suck. It's hard for everybody out there, i'm just one of the millions if not billions who go through that.\n\nAlso I don’t think ‘nobody wants to live in Canada’ is entirely accurate. It seems that the idea of canada, and the way its marketed, attracts a lot of new immigrants, and a lot of people would love a chance to live in Canada. It's simply not true. But after the fact , once they have , i could believe that some are not willing to stay and might regret the decision of moving in the first place.

I left Canada when I was 18\n\nI’m 48 now and living with my children and their mother here in Argentina currently \n\nI have been to over 70 countries and I have lived over 20 years in Asia itself…\n\nI love traveling, and I love, living places, long-term, and experiencing new cultures \n\nAt first when I left, I felt a bit when I would return because everything seems so boring and mechanical \n\nBut now that I found myself more I really enjoy visiting Canada …. And experiencing the beautiful nature and infinite spaciousness\n\nCanada is a great country, but so are so many other places

For licensed doctors I would think that the 4 years would be a snap if you already know the material but beside that , if they went back because they could work in their field in there home country then why did they come here in the first place. Obviously it wasn't violence or fear for their lives.\n If they come here and enjoy the first years but then the reality kicks in when the benefits stop that they may have to work for minimum wage and they now know that a person making minimum wage in Canada is makes you homeless, can't afford a car or the gas, insurance and can only buy food , that they realize that they were better off where they were. It;s time our government informed these people of the harsh reality of how our governments have allowed our once great country to become place where it;s citizens suffer under these financially inadequate conditions that are only made worse by immigration numbers that far exceed our ability to house them. Maybe have them try to support themselves on the income they would get here while they are still in their country, or if it made a condition that our government must prove that they can sustain themselves with minimum wage before they can immigrate then immigration would be denied because heaven help them if minimum wage isn't enough because welfare/odsp is like jumping from the frying pan into the fire.

You people with mean comments should mind your own business. These guys are talking about their own experiences and perspectives on why they are leaving Canada. Your comments are illogical, unnecessary, and stupid.\nIf you are happy staying there well and good. As a matter of fact, you shouldn't watch this video in the first place, let alone criticize them on what they believe and what they want with their life. \nGo live your lives and stop bothering other people's decisions, you morrons ?

It's interesting to see what will happen if I post a neutral comment here. \n\n\nUndoubtedly, Germany is not a paradise on Earth, just like any other place. There are both pros and cons. Sometimes I felt like I was reading comments about a completely different country when people wrote about not being accepted by society and so on, so I decided to respond too.\n\n\nI barely speak German (my second language is English) and I have never felt any racism or disrespect towards me. Whether it was on the street or at work. I more often met friendly people who were interested in learning about my move to Germany and were always admiring and saying words of support. This cannot be faked, these things were real. \n\n\nOf course, you will experience a lot of stress when visiting the foreigners' department, as many things are unfamiliar to you and you don't have enough language skills at first.\n\n\nOf course, I would like to get paid more for my work, or at least pay less taxes. Yes, child money support exists, but it's more of a formality as it barely covers the costs of raising children. This is where I would really like to see improvements.\n\n\n\nPeople, including immigrants, cannot understand that by increasing the demand for housing, they are increasing its cost. You can't blame the country itself for this. The law of supply and demand works here.\n\n\nThose who write about their plans to move to Australia or the USA, don't forget to share your relocation experience after. When you face the same or even bigger relocation problems. \n\n\nYou are right in one thing - there is no paradise on Earth, and you have to work. Hard and always ti achieve your goals.\n\n\nThere is such a thing as a labor market and everything coexists in balance. \n\n The only thing whether it's too hard for you or you will not give up ?.

Russia would be the first choice for me, especially if you are fluent with the language.\nAustralia is still reasonably good, youth crime is getting out of control with a left wing government in control.\nHopefully a more conservative government gets in so we can clean the place up!

I once saw in “The Why Matters”, a conservative think tank, that the reason other Arab nations wouldn’t take Palestinian refugees because they were essentially all terrorists. That was one of the most heartless, hyperbolic, and insane characterizations I have ever seen of them. Of course they won’t take refugees because they are trying to prevent them from becoming refugees in the first place!

What the heck? That first home is beautiful. I love old homes with brick and mature trees. Look at classy places they have older homes. I wouldn’t want a mansion. I don’t care about the cold look and cleaning so much. I have a backsplit it’s my family home I grew up in.

Then Palestinian should not give their lands to be used by terrorist organisations, just like Lebanese gives. This genocide largely caused by only one country Iran who had the agenda to destroy any Democratically functioning government and places a terrorist controlled government in the middle East but Israel is the only obstacle so why they created so many terrorists organisations to dismantle peace and stability in Israel. \n\nBack 2023 the first attack has been recorded that Hamas launched many Rockets attack. Then rest of the events has been taken place.

The present immigration system is faulty with lots of loopholes. The system needs to be fixed immediately to make it a fool-proof. Stop taking unwanted refugees and asylum seekers in the first place. Also to ensure that all those who had manipulated and took undue advantage of the faulty immigration system are identified especially those asylum seekers who, after obtaining aslyum PR status, had visited their home countries subsequently should be deported for perjury and falsification of documents.

Immigration had gotten out of hand decades ago. This isn't new. The problem is there aren't enough places to live which is a LIBERAL and CONSERVATIVE problem. All they need to do is build more apt that won't fall apart and leak within the first year.

International students have no rights to protest other than study, which is why they come in the first place. Canada or US didn’t go to india and say please come. I think Canada should stop taking students through consultants in India. It is in India that people are selling false info and the students are blaming Canadian government. Even India has immigration rules and they are also strict in enforcing. Plus international students have to pay 10x more in Indian top colleges than local Indian. Rules are rules and should be followed or don’t come.

Games played by both governments have bring these kids to such a situation. Please don’t be angry on these kids. They are the pawns who have been exploited from both sides. We should raise the question to government why so big number of visas were issued in first place.

Frankly why has Canada allowed in SO MANY people from a few specific countries under the pretense of studying if the gvt knows so well that is not what many if not most intend to do in the first place? It is like the government is afraid of a massive demographic bomb down the line and won't shut the faucets....most who stay will not leave major metro areas or move to underpopulated regions adding to unsormountable housing, health services and cost of living woes for the foreseable future if not forever, it is not the 60s or 70s anymore but gvt pretends it is...the tragedy of a 1st world leader devolving into a 3rd world haggard.

Thank you for sharing! I had to leave Canada after a short stint due to personal reasons. I really enjoyed the work culture there and my salary was definitely way better than the one I used to make in Italy. Having an internationally recognised MSc, I felt valued for the first time ever and did not have any issues securing a job. However, the housing crisis was something I was not ready for. Never struggled so much to find a place to rent (and it was not even a big city). Grocery prices were also pretty scary. Canadian taxes were not a problem as Italy has a notoriously high taxation.

Imagine being an aboriginal, first your land is taken and your people are killed off and your culture surpressed and forgotten. Then the white man lets these nasty brown fuckers come in and take over! These poojeets who care even less about the land and treat it like a trash bag and shit everywhere like they own the place. We need to kick the Indians out! Sorry there are just too many!

Our healthcare system is collapsing. One step to fixing it is to get rid of those who should never have been here in the first place. That means we need to deport 100% of all immigrants from India. Sorry this country is not owed to them, look at how they treat this place! Never seen such disrespect

Just after reading comments from some Germans here, it really feels like that racism, chauvinism and zero-sum thinking are just a part of their mentality. They seem to believe that foreigners working in their country shouldn't have any voice, because having independent thinking or claiming some rights means abruptly that you aren't integrated.\n\nMany of them feel like foreign workers shouldn't even be given opportunity to come to Germany in the first place, because supposedly average German doesn't benefit from having larger workforce or higher productivity.. which is pure economic and sociological non-sense ?\n\nTight housing market plays now against immigration narrative, but that's caused also by inferior construction speeds, high interest rate, higher cost of materials and by the labor shortage.

Are the universities and colleges here to provide education for Canadians first or to make money from International students. They should never rely on international students in the first place to begin with. This is called scamming the general Canadian population, a racket. All these so called universities and colleges provide you with useless degrees and diplomas and you can’t even land a decent job.
