Why isn't the world placing sanctions on the fascist anyway? Why let Trump hold the cards? Why do business with Adolf Hitler?

Trudeau isn't what Rogan says he is. I'm a Canadian with morals and empathy. I was formerly a centrist, possibly right leaning. That has all changed now. \n\nWe have the same far right agenda working to assault Canadian values up north. Americans are being subjected to a fairytale 'mandate' that was swindled with lies and deceit, Trumps 2 favorite tacts.\n\nI'm 40 now. Pretty brushed up on history. I can't fathom why any reasonable person thinks podcasters or real estate agents can govern. \n\nIn the past, swineherds could become Generals, yes. BUT There has to be levels of experience in Governance to handle the responsibility of having lives in ones hand. \n\nDemocracy is the only way, lets not go backwards. FUCK TRUMP, FUCK ELON.

Petulant Child running Canada, this isn't going to end well ?

I’m seeing a lot of comments saying ‘just move there,’ which makes no sense and is such a lazy response. Immigration isn’t as simple as packing a bag—there are legal, financial, and logistical hurdles, especially right now. Supporting another country’s stance doesn’t mean you have to leave your own. As an American, I stand with Canada on this.

We as Americans are making too many enemies across the world. This isn’t good.
|

OMG what a most stupid move by Trump. As for Canada you have all the resources and intelligence to be self sufficient from the USA. Putin isn't the only bad guy as Donald is as well.

Donald isn’t a smart guy though?he is a dumb pos supporting Putin

Canada isn’t America’s closest friend ? That’s the United Kingdom (also a left wing hellhole)

Putin is getting exactly what he told the moron-in-chief to do and as soon as trump manages to alienate the rest of the civilised world he will drop the sanctions with Russia and make personal business deals with them.\nThis isn't about America - this is about trump incorporated and every stupid decision he makes will be preceded by market trades by third parties that will be hard to trace back to people in his administration.\nHe's stealing from MAGA and they're applauding him.\nAlso, trump is not smart - he's a crook, and dumb as a fencepost.

Trudeau's words are smoke and mirrors a bit imo. Liberals will go forward with an additional 20% carbon tax dispitie the tariffs occurring. Trump isn't the only one that is harming Canada in one way or another. Trump is forcing Canada to do better with our borders and crisis's that had not been addressed quickly enough. We (Canada) allowed these issues to get out of hand and it took another country to tell us that we needed to do better because the issues affect them as well. I'm stating facts here and now we Canadians will suffer for all of it.

This isn’t about fentanyl this is Diaper Don holding grudge against Juston Trudeau. He hates anyone that threatens him when it comes to power. Trump has been in bed with Russia since he was a young man. He is a Russian sympathizer and always has been. I am sure his father Fred was too. Why else has not one Trump ever served our country in war time and peacetime. He call veterans suckers and losers He is a traitor to our country and selling out our country out. Time to stop the carnage he is inflicting on this great nation by having him removed by any way our military can take him out. Otherwise Putin and Trump together will destroy our nation along with other great nations due to their thirst for power, land, and riches.

Trump isn't a very smart guy. He's an idiot.\nThis American stands with Canada!

Hey Canada! I'm jealous....what's it like having a leader that isn't a stupid, ugly, fascist?
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
I am so ashamed of my government's actions towards Canada and Mexico that it isn't even funny. Trump needs to be impeached removed from office and imprisoned.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Lots of emotional response here. I also feel that Canadians are our brothers and sisters of the USA. But removing the emotion, Canada isn't holding the cards. This nonsense will hurt Canada far more than the US.

At this present time and in this current governmental climate, I do believe that changing a leader now would hurt Canada. Trudeau has first hand experience and has dealt with Trump and his tantrums, this isn’t Trudeau’s first rodeo. I am concerned with Trump antics another leader could be influenced with charm and falsehoods which Trudeau has already confidently stood up against.\nAnd for a moment, let’s think a little bit further out of the box. This isn’t about fentanyl as Prime minster Trudeau pointed out. This is about making life for Canadians extremely difficult and chaotic. It’s to bring division between the United States and Canada, and with Trump joking and jokes are not jokes sometimes they become reality Canada being a 51st state. Trump Being friends with Putin, with Russian ships in our Arctic Ocean think on this for a minute. Putin decided to invade Ukraine to expand his make believe empire. President Trump and Vladimir Putin working together. Hasn’t Trump said he wants Canada to be part of the USA and wants our Prime Minister to be a governor how insulting. How very insulting to the Canadian people who not just live in Canada, but are also united Canadians.

There is a lot of talk on Fentanyl headed south, but no mention by Canada of how much of the drug heads north. I can't be zero. There has to be transit of the drug from the USA into Canada.\n\nBut what I truly don't understand, is that what heads south is not crossing through the Canadian border. All south bound traffic needs to go through US Border patrol agents. So by that measure, how is Canada not doing its job? I've crossed into Canada many times and have been asked to pull over for a search of my vehicle more times than I've been searched on my return to the USA, which was once, my very first crossing in 2002. \n\nMy only guess is the problem isn't fentanyl, that's just a distraction and by design a way to get people believing in something that isn't true and to help further the rift.

Donald Trump isn't a admirable person anymore. He always demand respect, you know what Donald? Respect can't be demanded, it must be earned.

The border is a smoke screen for what Trump wants...our resources gor nothing. He says the US doesn't need anything, yet he wants, Canada, Greenland, Gaza, and is holding Aid over Ukraine's head for an unfair trade deal of resources. He wants everything his greedy little hands can grab. \n\nI am glad my government is getting more trustworthy trade partners because we should never be so reliant on trade with the US again. \n\nWe are boycotting US goods, services, and destinations. The bond will never be the same. Once you lose trust, it isn't so easy to ear it back. We can't trust Trump and who knows if the one after him will be any better.

They looked scared as hell. Trudeau is like a vindictive fired employee who steals and damages stuff before leaving. People like him are why many companies have security escort them out when they leave. Canada is going to suffer just so this wimp can feel like he stood up to Trump. He isn't even in a position to negotiate anymore. He's just causing his country more pain for no reason. Typical socialist. Whole lot of people in the comments don't understand the numbers. Canada has zero chances to win a trade war. Many Canadian businesses are already moving to the US.

Isn’t the tariffs reciprocal?
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Trudeau is hated by Canadians. He is no hero. These tariffs make Trump look stupid. Isn't that what Trudeau was saying by calling it a dumb thing to do? It is time for Trudeau to actually resign and leave politics for good.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
I would NEVER, I repeat NEVER put any value in what Trudeau has to say about anything! Isn’t he the pot calling the kettle black. I believe when truckers had something to say was it not Trudeau who instead of listening to his citizens did he not freeze truckers personal bank accounts. Doesn’t he alway have his hand in the cookie jar. He gets an A for effort but to wage war financially or physically with America will be the single worst knee jerk reaction anyone has made. America isn’t trying to wage a war. Our purpose is to get as many countries off of our nipple as possible. We pay so much as citizens. Hopefully Trudeau changes his thought process.

Don't be fooled Canada has been using tariffs on American goods for decades, it's not new and this isn't some bold great leader doing the right thing. He's a baby stomping his feet because he wants to tariff America and not be taxed back. He's not a leader and he's not a man. He's a little boy doing tiny petty things. He was fine when the gravy train made him a profit, he's mad because the free money just ran out.
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
I can't believe he is siding with Russia. I don't get why he would want to risk having Canada as a potential enemy. I'm not sure to what extent, but still. I don't know much about politics but I hope for our sake, this isn't permanent. Why do that to an ally that we have been working with together for decades? Makes no sense. That's the thing, though. Our enemies just want this to get worse for us. Almost like be wants America go in the dirwcrion of becoming a communist country more than help it. That's the thing, though. Our enemies just hope this gets worse for us. Prayers for everyone.

I do not know if tariffs or Trump's actions are the correct thing to do. But why can't the USA do 25% tariffs, if Canada has 65% tariffs on the USA? Why is Canada demanding the USA support them? Someone please explain it to me. And Trudeau could have picked up the phone and called Trump, this speech was not meant to solve anything. What is so brilliant except to heighten rhetoric and tension? Someone needs to be a grown up but going on CNN and insulting Trump isn't the way.

It isn`t about Fentanyl. Donald`s idol named Putin is fighting with his neighbor. Donald has to do the same. He copies Putin, he idolizes him.

Canada can suck it. This isn't a trade war, this is America being done with catering to everyone. If it's a trade war it's only because of how those like Canada are taking it. We honestly don't need anything from Canada. We can do it ourselves, as we've done before.\nHow come it took this happening for Canada to finally speak out against several drug trafficking groups as the sick and twisted groups poisoning people on both sides of the border? Why couldn't you say that before?
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Thanks for making it clear what you did right but not making it clear on what the US administration wanted from you that you said no to that caused the tariff implementation. It's possible you miss 50% of your illegal border crossings into the u.s. since so much of your border isn't secured. The 1900% increase in illegal crossing in the past few years doesn't look very good. It's dumb to assume you did everything right and then the u.s. just randomly decided they'd continue with the tariffs for fun. Be more honest and say where you put your foot down so the American public can better understand what is going on.

His a joke like all the politicians - no exceptions… talking about some numbers that doesn’t make sense… what a dirty way - to say indirectly to the American people to boycott their government ? trade war isn’t a war it call business - better than what any president that still support any people losing their lives in a nonsense conflict.

Trump has money. None of this is going to bother him at all.\nHe just wants to bully others, to try and look strong, and menacing.\n\nHe isn't smart enough to realize it just makes him look petty and dumb.

Why is he so concerned about Americans? Isn't Canada getting the 25% tariffs also?
|
| 2025-03-04 | 0 |
Russia isn’t Americas enemy. Biden made them the enemy. We want the strongest allies and the allies who can provide to us and in return provide to them. Canada and the EU just sucks at our teet. Russia doesn’t and we benefit more being allies with them

Trump isn’t sabotaging any of his plans by doing this. He’s doing exactly what he wants. Helping his billionaire friends make more billions and consolidate as much power as possible. He doesn’t really see people as people. Everyone is just a tool or a pawn for him to influence in whatever way that helps him get more power.

Canada’s 25% Tariffs? A Win for American Businesses in the Long Run\n\nAt first glance, Canada slapping a 25% tariff on U.S. goods might seem like a negative for America. But in reality, this move could actually work in our favor by making the U.S. economy stronger, more self-sufficient, and less dependent on foreign markets.\n\t1.\tBoosting American Manufacturing & Production – When Canada makes U.S. goods more expensive with tariffs, American businesses have a huge opportunity to shift focus to domestic markets and new trade partners. This could bring more production back home and reduce reliance on Canada.\n\t2.\tEncouraging Trade Diversification – The U.S. isn’t limited to Canada. If they want to play hardball, we can expand exports to other countries with fewer trade restrictions. Canada makes up about 15% of U.S. exports, but the rest of the world is wide open. This is a chance to diversify and strengthen our economy.\n\t3.\tMaking Canada Pay More for U.S. Goods – Tariffs don’t just hurt exporters—they also raise costs for Canadian consumers. If Canada wants American products, they’ll end up paying more or have to settle for alternatives that might be lower quality or more expensive from other countries.\n\t4.\tStrengthening America’s Negotiating Position – If Canada wants to raise tariffs, that gives the U.S. even more leverage in future trade talks. The U.S. economy is far larger and more powerful than Canada’s, and in the long run, they need us more than we need them.\n\t5.\tReducing America’s Trade Deficit – If fewer goods are exported to Canada, that means more products stay in the U.S. This helps lower dependence on foreign markets and could even stabilize prices for American consumers.\n\nBottom Line: Canada’s Move Hurts Them More Than It Hurts the U.S.\n\nIf Canada wants to put tariffs on U.S. goods, let them. In the long run, it pushes America to be more self-reliant, strengthens our industries, and forces Canada to pay the price for their own policies.\n\nAt the end of the day, America has the stronger economy, better resources, and more trade options—Canada needs U.S. trade more than we need theirs. If they want to make American goods more expensive, they’ll feel it a lot more than we will.

The orange man is pulling a “there’s nazis in Ukraine” type of stunt to justify what he actually wants to do. Like Ukrainian nazis had nothing to do w/ Putin invading Ukraine, this isn’t about fentanyl or border protection
