Im a Canadian and honestly I've NEVER had a problem finding a job, I don't even have my highschool... I think it has to do with *which* jobs they are applying for. I get that theres an "immigration" problem, the refusal to adapt and assimilate feels like a slap in the face especially when the same few will talk I'll of the same system they benefit from. HOWEVER I don't think it's good to lump all of these problems together and dump collective blame on immigrants. For 1, all this immigration and policies have happened under a liberal government and y'all voted then in, AGAIN. - clearly you're not THAT desperate for change. 2nd. Are the ones saying they can't find work willing to work in trades? General laborers making $25-$30+++ No experience required. Tradespeople are glad to teach people willing to work hard and learn.. What about warehouse work? Apply to your 5 closest warehouses, I guarantee youll get in 1.. ALSO the government IS willing to help Canadians get little certifications like forklift, smartserve, CPR.. Career colleges can help with training (e.g - computer) as well as soft skills. So yeah, I wonder if it's people being just as picky as they were when Canada wasn't in the economical shitter it is in rn? Maybe Im far luckier or fortunate than most? Maybe expectations are too high? Maybe some stubbornly refuse assistance they are entitled to? Im not sure, but I do sympathize/empathize with you guys, I hope you all can "get through". I pray we can find solutions to this insane cost of living / broken housing market / price gouging / tiny group of business owners having a complete market control and a monopoly on everything thing we need to survive - without competition, limitations or government regulation🫩. In Canada we have foreign workers programs that allows businesses to hire foreigners and the liberal federal govt pays 1/3 of these foreigners salaries. So of course any business like retail or restaurant’s biggest overhead is labour costs so if they can save like $6.00 an hour on every employee why wouldn’t they opt in for that. I also did a very deep dive into the voters in Canada. At least 4.5 million out of the 8.5 million voted the Carney liberals got in April 2025 were immigrant votes. That’s why Carney and liberals pander to the gigantic Muslim population in Canada. Muslims, Chinese, Indians from India, Ukrainians, Filipinos they all pretty much vote liberal. There weee over 100 Muslim groups that told their Muslim community to only vote for candidates that support Gaza Muslims and Palestinians. How is that not election interference. We know the Chinese directly interfere in our elections by threatening Chinese Canadians to vote liberal or their families in China will be harmed or they will be harmed inside Canada. In June Carney said Muslim values are Canadian values. Either this clown has no idea how radical Islam is or he knows and just panders for votes. Liberal cabinet ministers Anita Anand and Melanie Joly they both openly campaigned saying they must support Palestine because they both have large Muslim populations in their respective ridings. Over half of the liberal voter base is foreign now. I started in 2019 telling the federal conservatives look the liberals are importing new liberal voters. The party needs a strategy to win over the immigrant vote. I proposed hiring a team of individuals from the Muslim community, Chinese community etc to brainstorm on how to get their message across that if your an immigrant your best to vote conservative because the liberals don’t care about them they just want their vote. Show them how they may never own a home, how their kids will be worse off than them. That buy bringing in about 2 million more immigrants a year it is causing inflation and the affordability crisis. I believe if you can show these immigrant communities the truth they may consider voting conservative. Bit of the conservatives refuse to pivot we will never see another federal conservative govt in our lifetimes. It’s not racist it’s the truth. We need a foreign registry act to kick out foreign entities that harass bully and threaten immigrants in Canada to bend the knee or else. If we have 100 Islamic groups telling their community it’s yo only vote one way charge them with election interference. We need electoral reform badly in Canada. We need to end all immigration to Canada for at least 5 years maybe even 10. We need to deport those here illegally. No more fake asylum claims. This country can still be saved but we need immigrants on board to help save it. We need to remove broadcasting licenses of mainstream media networks that lie and bash conservatives. I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. If these were French people like my heritage is, I would be even more pissed because I could say something without being called a racist. These immigrants are coming here with one goal retribution against the English Empire for the past or some shit, I dont know, and they're taking it out on us Canadians. over 5 years I've collected proof so I feel very safe coming out now and talking about this because I have everything to back it up. Those single homes I was talking about half of them burned down and they use insurance fraud money add multiple loopholes to use government money along the way as well, that's damn taxpayer money building parts of these homes... I'm a concrete worker they do not let these walls set properly, they don't seal the windows and doors properly, everything's going to leak but because they only rent to people from their home country after 3 years they can take their name off the property and nobody and I mean nobody is going to report leaks because they have a tyrannical control over who they rent to.... I dont even need to name the group because its OBVIOUS, living in the same city most ky life I've seen a drastic change, and this isnt intregation like my family did as they we're the members of french part of the metis tribe long ago. 5 years in a row they have added an average of 70,000 people legally to the city I live in I live in of 1.4 million people that is absolutely absurd the train system is packed all the way until 1:00 a.m.... it's just simple economics you can't add that many people and have a sustainable City.... these idiots never played sim city or some shit Also there are millions that came pretending to get spots in our universities and didn't show up, and these are the same people that are buying up all the businesses and houses and only letting the people from their own country be involved that is not integration....... I immigrated to Canada in 2020 during peak COVID. I lost my job working in the Middle East and I had my PR so it made sense moving to Canada for good. I’m a chemical engineer who worked in oil and gas for about 10 years in the Middle East. Once I landed in Canada, I went to work in Amazon Fullfillment Centre the week after I completed my quarantine. It was hard labor working for $16 per hour in Toronto. I worked for 10 months while working on my qualifications and engineering license. After that I was hired by an oil and gas contracting company and worked as a Trainee engineer after which I was promoted to Senior engineer in a year after I received my engineering license. I moved 4 cities in 4 years for my job. Now I am settled, own a home, got married to my long time girl friend and work at an Oil and Gas company which pays well. What I learnt through my experience is that Canada is a land of opportunities and people respect you for the work you do whatever it may be and do not judge you, all that we will have to do is work hard and improve on your skills. Integrate with the society, donate and volunteer. That’s how new immigrants can integrate. If you aren’t open minded and want to stay as you stayed in your country then you will not develop and it will hinder yours and the country’s progress.

Why treat foreigners with hospitality, when the foreigners don't appreciate anything they are given. If we did any of that disrespect in foreigners country. Really? Think about it. Why are so many allowing this?? Why tolerate it in our home country. These foreigners don't care. The elites don't care. The so call government dont care... why would any woman want to bring babies into this world to have them suffer just like every human generations pass. Yes... so true. I am an immigrant,I never abused the system, never took what was not mine, I worked hard and I am nurse, I waited four years to purchase my dream car and 2 months in, the person who don’t use road codes or stop light hit my car! I worked hard and I am kind and respectful…. People who steal DAILY gets a slap on their wrist and gets their Canadian citizenship right away. I don’t eat or drink and place my cup on store shelves with clothes that other people are about to purchase. Canada is not safe anymore! All the jobs are going to a set of immigrants who acts like pigs! Driving in the dowtown area, u have to keep your foot on the break because there WILL be about 20 bikes that will ride in front of your car without notice . I work so hard and sometimes it’s so overwhelming, the last time this got to me…. I had to go and take a little vacation…. No I could not afford it but it’s better than getting stressed out because Canada is becoming a 3rd world country!!! There are HONEST people who work so hard and cannot afford anything , not even their rent! WE ARE FED UP, it is not the older immigrants, it is the new ones that are destroying the country and turning it into trash!

I heard why the government did the immigrants wrong. I was talking to an uber driver and my pharmacist. They told me the promises of luxury in Canada has and offered for them to live a better lives. They didn't know after they came here for work and or college/university they become in major debt. They said that they're in a luxury debt and never getting out of debt knowing that they're stuck in Canada and can't be allowed to leave unless they pay off the debts. That's 100 % wrong to do that to people when they know they don't feel welcomed and want to go home. I'm a metis Canadian and I had to leave Ontario to find affordability and miss my home. GOVERNMENT THIS IS YOUR FAULT AND YOU KNOW IT! Let them go home in debt. You made this mess. FIX IT! Including the baby boomers that made the problem started 8 % rate interests to buy houses. That was a mistake that should be bought 1 house and nothing else. I forgot to add something. The uber driver told me that india doesn't know that it's a debt luxury trap that you can't leave unless you pay your debt. He felt alone and found some people and the internet to make himself feel better temporary. TEMPORARY! He hates it here, but he respects Canadians. He feels sorry for the new ones that are coming to become debt trap. It's the same for the pharmacy. She got into college to be a pharmacy and bought the store. She is on low income but doesn't qualify for any supports like benefits to pay off her medical things. The reason she can't because they'll see the pharmacy store is income. Wait what? So she doesn't quilify for benefits because she's making income to pay off her massive loan to do her job. It's not enough to live by as what she told me. She also does misses home, but also traped in luxury debt. This is what I have learned so far. I went through a car accident and coudln't get out of the car. I thought in Brampton, Ontario was the rudest people on the planet, but was saved by the angels of indian people saved me out of the vehicle from the smoke. I still thank you! There is still good people out there and some are stupid people out there. Keep it up because being kind gets you to be positive to others and make things better when the world is fcked right now.

You know, I am an immigrant myself but I have always have had a beef how other immigrants act all entitled. Immigrating is like going to live in another people's house, you have to respect the rules of that house. I hate people trying to change the rules to their convenience. I know a lot of immigrants just living off the system, I work 2 jobs and the day I was laid off I refused to collect EI out of self respect, why because I knew I could find another job. But many is like they are looking forward to get laid off or fired to collect government benefits. I'm an immigrant who came here when i was almost 2 yrs old with my single mother who worked 3 jobs to support me.We're here for 45 yrs.I'm a proud Canadian and agree 💯 with Canadians.Why do we have to accept others religions while they dont have to..How is saying Merry Christmas now a bad thing to say or God Bless..They should leave their religion and culture behind their door and be proud and appreciate Canada let them in ..We need them to adapt to our Culture or go back to their country

Canada isn’t broken because of the people who come here—it’s broken because of the people who run it. We demand a government that puts citizens first, restores law and order, and builds an economy that rewards hard work, not political optics. Im an immigrant and this place sucks now. Everyone needs to get together, immigrants and citizens need to step up and toss this government out. And when it comes to the garbage and pathetic justice system, No more revolving doors. Every judge who releases repeat offenders must be held publicly and legally accountable for the crimes committed under their rulings. There is a very simple way to stop this. People coming to this country and wants us to live by there rules, put them on the next plane back. It’s sad being a born Canadian and watching the land I love turn into an income battleground. Nobody wants to hire someone with the thought of training. They want people with experience but won’t give the experience to those who lived here and need it. They’d rather hire someone from somewhere else that has experience and then fails to follow through as the born and raised person given the opportunity would. The amount I’ve seen white people fight to work and work fighting to keep their job burning themselves out when they’re easily replaceable by someone for a fraction of the cost and needing 3 people in their place since most immigrants are extremely lazy, especially after getting the pr. I’ve watched so many eastern Indians start to work full time. Hardly do anything until they get their card then drop off the map of actual work being done only to move to Ontario. Meanwhile I apply to countless jobs and don’t get one call back in 2 years with experience. Don’t even get me started on housing..

I'm a Canadian, I was born here, who knows what generation Canadian I am - my ancestors were here long before Canada was a country, later they fought for the British (one naughty son fought for the "rebels" americans and was in jail for 5 years), the monarchy granted them 100 acres in the Niagara region which was farmed by a line of my family until the 1980s when the last of that direct line sold which is tragic. blah blah - Canadian. ANYWAY - I love other people, other cultures, every immigrant that spoke in this video I welcome with open arms, would befriend, share a meal with etc. I grew up working with many people from Pakistan and India who were escaping really scary situations, worked their butts off to be part of this country, learn the language, save for a home - live a safe and happy life. Whether you're a first or 50th generation Canadian - you come here and you adapt to our wonderful way - you're a freaking Canadian. That's not happening right now. Like the video said, it's a math problem. One of my largest concerns is that now all these wonderful Canadians who have been here for a long ass time, worked their butts off to be part of the family will now be subject to violence, harassment and racist comments because this population bomb has misrepresented their intentions entirely.

Amen Amen I totally agree with you immigrants must adapt to Canadians culture. Most immigrants are honest hard working people. Some people just come and use and abuse the system, and this should be tolerated it must stop now.

Canada is not bringing in immigrants to work. I am a child of immigrants. My parents worked hard from the day they landed and given 0 from the government. Today, these "new Canadians " get free housing, free large amounts of money(which they use to send back to their homeland)...while we , born Canadians find it hard to pay our everyday expenses. Does this make sense.? The government has to stop handing out our hard earned money. Take care of your own first. And we have to endure bending to their culture not them learning our culture...our humility and kindness. This is not about to being welcoming to everyone , this is about calling out to the government start cleaning up this mess before we ( born Canadians) find ourselves without a country of our own.

New immigrants are not like the old immigrants. I am native, roots go back hundreds of years before Canada became Canada. My whole family worked in the orchards with Indian families that came here a long time ago, they adapted and changed and loved being in Canada, and these families had respect and worked hard and got along with everyone peacefully. New immigrants, they are here working for half the price for large companies getting kick backs. Why be here if you are trying to change everything?! Adapt like everyone else before you did. While the end result is the actual "immigrant", you can tell these new immigrants all day and night to go back to their country... The immigrant themselves will be looking at you like... Huh? Why? I’m a Canadian Jamaican and I don’t recognize the country. The people coming in lately are hostile to the place they seek support from. It’s ridiculous and bazaar. I’m seeing so many places for rent stipulating that they outright prefer or are seeking Indian. I’m not white but I’m tempted to post an ad for place to rent and say it’s for for white tenants just to behold what happens. I mean we have never witnessed such conduct in Canada until these #&? ckers popped up. Even the prior immigrants are stunned. I’ve been working since 78 and now a senior but when I try to get help for housing I’m offered a night only shelter with mental and drug abusers to go try sleep in or the sidewalk or countless apologies. If I could put apologies in the bank, I would be rich While the former Marriott 2minutes up the street is home to all kinds of refugees. Don’t get injured, get any older or anything like that and unable to work in this country now as you’re much better off passing away.

I'm a born and raised Canadian, as well as my husband. Even before our country was completely taken over, employment was hard to come by because of the fw's. 8 years ago, my husband had enough with trying to find a job, he stopped counting at over 450 resumes that were ignored, so he decided that we should start our own company, a small delivery company that 2 years later, we added a safe ride service to (driving drunk people home in their own vehicle). I was the manager of a little pizza place, which was run by immigrants, but good ones. I was hired because my husband approached them about doing deliveries, and they wanted to meet me. I had no idea I was going for an interview but they begged me to work for them, their reason; although they could speak English, they weren't fluent in it, so they wanted an English speaking employee who could easily understand the customer's. Within days, I was promoted to manager, and I loved my job and all of them. They treated everyone with such kindness and generosity. I found out just how much support they got from our government, when I broke down one day because I couldn't afford my prescription. My boss was so confused because he and his family got free prescriptions, dental, eye care, etc and they thought everyone got that. My boss paid for my prescription and actually apologized to me for how our own government treated us. He also showed me that they get $2,500 every 2 weeks, funding to start or buy businesses, but if they don't hire other fw's or immigrants, that funding changes to a grant and they have to pay it back. They are given money for housing, and vehicles. He was pushed out of that business by his 2 partners, and the partner's promised him I would keep my job. That was a complete lie. They stopped putting me on the schedule, claiming financial problems (bs), but hired not one but two new full time immigrant employees. I lost it and quit. Our town isn't that big, and word spread fast, especially when everyone found out that I was still owed over $2,000, which I will never see because no government agency will help me. Their business is actually struggling now and I love that for them. As for my husband and I's business, it's going strong but I came unglued when we recieved a letter from the government "suggesting" that we hire immigrants. I wrote back, telling them in no uncertain terms would that ever happen, and it will be a cold day in hell when one of us steps back so one of the government's favored people can take that money from us because we are the only 2 employees and we're not sacrificing a damn thing for someone who already gets everything.

If I was there and seen them blocking roads or gathering like this, I would throw my jingle dress on and pray to god and jesus and then take my drum and start singing my first nations music 🎶 super loudly and get all my brother's and sister's to join. Enough is enough. I lost my job to corporate restructuring and running out of ei now, and I am beyond pissed off! All the years worked and contributing to my ei insurance, should equal how many months of ei i should actually be eligible for, but nope, its only for a certain amount of weeks according to their unemployment rate, which is severely flawed, because how can their unemployment rate remain unchanged for so many years, when you hear of thousands losing their jobs. Despite having 30 years of customer service experience, I find myself being overlooked. Many companies now use AI to prescreen resumes, so if your resume isn’t ATS-friendly, it often never gets seen by a human. Even if you make it past that stage, there are endless AI-driven assessments before you even have a chance to speak with someone. And when you finally do, it’s often yet another layer of screening rather than a real interview. I know I bring value — I consistently receive compliments from customers across cultures for speaking clearly, precisely, and making their experience enjoyable. Yet I find myself competing with younger candidates who can work longer hours, or new immigrants that companies often prioritize, sometimes with government incentives. At 55, I feel like I’m being overlooked despite my proven skills and professionalism. Right now, I live with my retired parents and should be caring for them. Instead, my father is helping me pay my bills so I don’t ruin the credit I worked so hard to build. If I don’t secure a job soon, I fear I’ll lose everything else I’ve managed to hold onto. The stress is overwhelming — I cry daily, and on top of everything, I also face health issues of my own, but I have no space to focus on them because survival takes priority. Canada today feels very different from the country I grew up in. Since the pandemic, things have become harder in every way — jobs, housing, and simply living. Even if I manage to secure work, rent alone now takes up nearly 75% of what I’d earn, not even including other basic bills. It’s disheartening to feel like no matter how hard I push, I can’t get ahead.
