I'd assume they have one of the largest police forces in the world, not to mention their large government agencies. Why not put some of that defence spending into border security? I booked a trip to Florida months ago. Long before talk of tariffs. If I could get my money back for the plane tickets and Disney tickets I’d cancel the trip in a heartbeat and spend that money at home in Canada. And just today, Trump paused aid/arms to Ukraine. Putin has no incentive to make concessions now, knowing that Trump has cut off arms to Ukraine. Our apologies to your Canada. We are fucked! Europe has just announced an 800 billion Euro defence plan; I bet they’d be very interested in Canada’s critical minerals. Canadians will not forget this; this has damaged our relationship with the U.S. and it may never recover. We cannot forget that Americans voted this man back into power knowing who and what he is; they somehow believed that he was magically going to lower the cost of eggs, end a war and save the economy. Canadians will never trust that Americans won’t again elect someone so stupid and pathetically unfit to lead their country; we have to start cutting the trade ties now so that we will never be this vulnerable again. I do agree with Dumpty that we need to pull our weight militarily, so we need to invest in our security and we also need to align ourselves with Europe since Dumpty is clearly aligning the U.S. with Russia.
