I'm starting to like trudeau now, he's doing a good job

Lots of Vets bashing Trump. I was Infantry for 27 years and most recent Vets were raised in a DEI/Woke environment and on a good day, about 10% of Vets actually fight while the rest are in the 28th Mess Kit repair detachment, never been in danger and the first to whine that they have PTSD. The real soldiers almost unilitaterly support Trump because we are the ones who do the job. And Trudeau is a pretty boy left wing little Phag.

As italian, I’ve been in Canada many time for business. Lets be honest trudeau it’s good only at speaking. You destroyed Canada with your immigration ideology. Trump is making his business, and don’t worry about usa, their economy will not be affected from the Canadian tariffs

Trudeau has not been a good Prime Minister. He took the Liberal Party (historically a centrist party) further left, wasted billions of dollars during Covid and put punishing carbon taxes on Canadian citizens. Having said that, this IS his finest hour and he and most of the provincial Premiers have shown a solidarity and strength that will prove to the US that their northern neighbour is not the pushover they thought they were. It's up to the American people to rectify this situation.

I voted against our current administration and I’m out in the streets to try to stop what’s happening. This is disgusting, good for you for fighting back! Well, Trudeau is wrong about a couple of things: first, Fentanyl for medical use is a good medication (e.g. in emergency rooms). and second, Donald Trump is NOT A SMART guy. He is an idiot. Otherwise Trudeau is spot on. Can the US have him and get rid of Tronald Dump?

The tariff war won't last. It will get ironed out in negotiations on other matters, probably in the form of tighter border restrictions, correcting some farm goods imbalance, and increasing tariffs on Chinese imports. Trump states pretty plainly in his order that this is for purposes of leverage, not punishment. I'd wager Trudeau caves to his demands within a few weeks.

What I don't like is the millionaires that move our jobs out of our country to benefit themselves. My father lost a good manufacturing job because labor was cheaper in some other county. As much as I disagree with most of Trudeau’s domestic politics I must say that this was a good address and seems to be where he is strongest. With that said though I still would not vote liberal in the next election.

It's too bad that Trudeau's Government did so little about fentanyl, also about our poorly-controlled border and destructive immigration non-policies for so long. Hence, driving Trump's scorched-earth policy (The Tariffs). That said, it blows me away that Trump was so vociferous about the Lawfare that was lined up against him in 2023-24, but he doesn't see that excess use of the power of the State is wrong and immoral in this Canadian and Mexican case. Trump only knows the right of might. Threats, coercion, bullying. He doesn't otherwise distinguish between right and wrong; only about what is good for him and his ego. The Tariffs will drive very bad business outcomes in the US. Including, inflation, and lost jobs. The Stock Markets are already tanking. At this particular stage, his ego will not allow him to back off, that's my prediction. Much pain for all Americans (and obviously for Canadians) will first have to ensue. Canada must receive its spanking, and Donald will have to save face. Ultimately, he'll invent some dishonest pretense to put the genie in the bottle, while the economic damage to all sides will be severe. But ... Why would he care?
