Guess that's what the native Indians who lived here when the white men came in would have felt..\n\nEvery one in Canada was an immigrant..

As someone living in Canada it's been crazy the boom of indian people. I live in a highly desired immigration location and it's rare to go to a fast food place and it isn't just full of only indian workers. Additionally, I walk to work for less than 10 mins, and I pass 4-5 houses just packed with young indian men packed into a house together, like 6-8 people. \nDespite all this huge number of indian immigrants I have no indian friends, because they don't integrate at all, they stay completely insulated in groups of other indians, often speaking to eachiother in their native language rather than bothering to learn the national languages of canada either english or french. We've immigrated like 5-10 years worth of immigrants in just 1-2 years. It's unsustainable and insane. we don't have the structure to support this population.\n\nIt's modern colonization. Plain and simple.

I've been living in Canada for the last 10 years ( came here as an international student), and now applying for my permanent residency. Went through high school, post secondary, and now working a full-time job in my field of study. I would say it's long overdue for Canada to scale down on its immigration policies (yes, I've had this thought even when I was a student so anyone who thinks I switched teams can shut up). There are simply not enough houses to accommodate Canadian, let alone immigrants. A lot of them only work minimum wage jobs which neither help the country with shortages in other fields nor their careers in the long term, and overall it gives immigrants a bad rap in the eyes of Canadian citizen. The recent changes in immigration imo is a good first step in the right direction.\n\nEdit: Also I'd like to add that if you're leaving your own home country to join another for a better life, it's your responsibility to adapt and contribute to their society, not the other way around. If you can't do that, stay in your home country.

I had been living in Canada for the past 25 years. I left the country for this reason. Canada is kind and welcoming, but people often mistake its kindness and politeness for stupidity and foolishness. It’s not just Indians, but people from many cultures who immigrate to Canada through easy means and tend to have poor ethics, attitude, manners, and lack professionalism.\n\nI miss the old Canada, as of now the country is inhabitable as it’s an asylum for fraudsters, cheaters, welfare check collectors etc. it’s really unbearable to hear peoples stories and how they got away. \n\nThe most painful part of it all is. The government knows it all and willingly allows it giving it a blind eye.

Canadian govt needs to control the how much of each race they gonna let in... on one hand the govt might have a population target but on the otherhand they should strive to study the demographic target or balabce n include it in ghrif plans .... at somd point the govt must be willing to compromise the population target to a healthy bslance of demographics.. it cant be free for all as there more thsn 1 billion indians & the majority of them will take any opportunity to jum in any 1st worl country... n indians im not being a racist but have one of the stongest culture n civilization... if u chose a majority of the immigrant pool from them.. they will a not adopt to the host country's culture but instead uphold their culture n eventually impose it bec they have numbers.. indians tend to favor fellow indians in recruiting for a job..... they have no qualms priotirizing an indian in india vs say a chinese in canada...once the indians get a hold of a company u will notice all the employees become indians in time.... its bec they indianize thd work culture, no longer inclusive n diverse.. also they practice nepotism (hiring friends, cowrkers, neighbors from theirprevious lives in india), they only talk their language among them, they keep info n knowledege related to work between them, they collaborate only with fellow indians, bangladeshi.. indians are like this anywhere. In singapore, dubai, middle east, europe, usa\n\n\n its not fair to the canadian eufopeans, cadian africans, canadian asians, candian latinos, etc....

Immigrant here, brown as well, and a worker in the international educational industry. Pin points why Canada and even immigrants, including international students and temporary works dislike immigrants from Punjab:\n\n- They are rude. They have little to none concept of living in society. They are selfish, they are arrogant, and anyone who works in the serving/retail industry will they are the worst customers ever. \n\n- The level of entitlement is beyond absurd. When the leader of this protests in PEI was told “Canada needs doctors and nurses, not you (the guy graduated from a business program, and works at Tim Hortons still), he responded: “I don’t care what Canada needs, is what I need, for myself”, displaying what a great citizen he’d be.\n\n- They refuse to integrate. They left Punjab to pursue a better life, but they want to live like are still in Punjab. \n\n- They scam their way in. Banks in India will lend them money to come to Canada, they buy their IELTS results. 99.9% of all the students I dealt with who got caught cheating on their exams were from India.\n\n- The people we are receiving in Canada are members of a separatist movement. They have often blocked roads to protest against India, because they want Punjab to be separated from India, and turned into a new country called Khalistan. I highly doubt they would all move there if that actually happened.\n\n- Going back to the entitlement: They often abuse the human rights nature of Canada. They sued the government for the right to ride bikes without helmets, or to not be forced to used safety equipment in construction sites, and for the right to walk around carrying a dagger, because it’s a “religious item”. Canada also for some dumb reason accepts their arranged marriages as a real one. Any person from anywhere in the world has to undergo an invasive scrutiny of their relationship, being forced to provide private conversations, and witness. Punjab people need none of it, and Punjab fathers are selling their daughters to strange men, so the family can move to Canada together.\n\n- Statistics Canada often talk about how our population is aging: However, they do not disclose how many of these aging population is due to Indian nationals bringing their parents and grandparents with them. If we got a million Indian people in the past years, that would mean around extra 4 million people over 50 years old. That’s 10% of the entire population. \n\n- They are scammers. You said yourself: To be eligible for a mortgage , you need to make at least $250k per year. They are landing in Canada with no money, and buying houses right away, because they have a network of people forging financial documents, and the also have people infiltrated in banks to approve these processes. Not me saying, that was national news. \n\n- They are extremely racist. They will openly tell you they only rent/hire/do business with Punjab people. Now, even the buses are driven by Punjab people, is insane. And you can tell they are new comers, because some of them can barely speak English. But is a well-known fact: Once one of them is in, they will make sure to bring in as many of their countrymen as possible, and only them. The DEI department of my company approved a Punjab manager, and now more than half of the staff is Punjab. English is no longer spoken in the hallways. \n\nSo these are just few of the complaints I have about them. I moved to Canada for a better life, and I have fully adapted to this country, and I’m resentful that this government allowed these people to slowly turn Canada into India. I was sold the idea of diversity, and I fell for it. I’m the minority of the minorities. Despite being a full Canadian now, every single day I think more and more of just going home. I’m tired of Canada.

I was planning on migrating to Canda, after visiting and living in Toronto for 3 months on a work assignment I decided to move to Australia instead. \nReasons \n- Canadian govt is very backward in its policies\n- Too many Muslims with large families\n- Not many jobs\nMy plan was move to Canada and plan US move eventually. My wife and I moved to Canada about a decade ago from post-Soviet states, where we both grew up with not much more than our smarts and a strong work ethic. When we arrived, adapting/integrating Canadian values, especially work ethics, was a big deal for us. Those first few years were tough, we really had to hustle to improve our lives. Now, a decade later, we're both in pretty solid tech and science jobs. Our child had the incredible privilege of being born in Canada, and that fills me with immense joy.\n\nIt wasn't just our own grit that got us where we are now; we owe a lot to the incredibly welcoming Canadians we met along the way. I'm thankful every day for the awesome, kind-hearted folks we've met. Canadians are truly some of the best people around, and despite lots and lots of issues, Canada is one of the greatest countries in the world. I know this because I've lived and worked across many countries on many continents . We, Canadians, need to keep working to make it even better. I'm proud to be a Canadian immigrant. I am not A Canadian I’m an American, but I interact with lots of Canadians as they find themselves coming down here for one reason to the other and I’m not near the border either. I’m quite far into the US in a major US city.\n\nThere are two types of Canadians that distinct themselves. The first group is the ones that are themselves immigrants that are naturalized. I make this distinction because many cases they have not assimilated. They still have their own culture from another country and is pointed out by the narrator people from south Asia and Asia strongly have their culture And language \n\n( Canada is good for allowing people to live in communities to cut themselves off from the main screen. You have people who speak the Ukrainian language Going Back 4 generations)\n\nThen I’m gonna have to use a euphemism that might make peoples hair stand on the back of their neck. I’m gonna call them. The white Canadians has a euphemism. These are people who are going so far back from the British Isles for the most part and the French also speak another language who have no connection to Europe. The English-speaking Canadians who are you from white could walk down or come down to the US and fit right in in a matter of weeks if they’re not already assimilated into the US Culture ( I hope I don’t see any fireworks start coming from this comment) Many of these white Canadians are now more economically disadvantage than the newer Asian and south Asian immigrants and find themselves often times competing for resources with these newer immigrants. Many immigrants more effectively when it comes to investment funds and banking as they formed their own little cocoon communities that don’t interact with the white Canadians.\n\nUnderstandably the white Canadians feel like they’re shut out, unappreciated by the government and now disadvantage and if they raise any protest, they’re called racist and white supremacist. \n\nJust so you know, I am not a white American, but I have an immigrant father from East Asia and I have relatives of my fathers who are also from the same Asian country who immigrated the Canada that I’m in contact with\n\nCulturally when I run into white Canadians, what I noticed is that their diction and speech is so clean clear and polished. It’s almost like they went to a finishing school or a low level class in diplomacy and public speaking many of these people come off like human resource people in the US because their culture is one of accommodation and consideration for other people they know how to be mindful of other people and these are great qualities\n\nYes, the Canadian government is messing up right now and they’re gonna wind up, ruining the social cohesion of their country if they have any and also wasting their human capital

According to the news we broke 40 Million residents in Canada in the new year. They just announced that the Canadian population is already at 41 million as of last week. How can we absorb this many people. I would say the majority are from India. A lot of these new residents are amazing. But hear me out......For more than 70 years Canada has accepted diverse immigrants from around the world. These immigrants have always had challenges with acceptance and integration as they bought homes and had families and raised children to be Canadians. But these immigrants are economic migrants. They don't want to be Canadians like they used to. They want the PR, and the citizenship. But they want to work and move all that money out of Canada back to India. Then when they retire, they themselves will dump all their Canadian assets and move to India where cost of living and home ownership is exceedingly less expensive. Even their federal government pension plan money will move out of the country. I'll be totally truthful...MY perception of these economic migrants is that THEY HATE US. In India they are educated, come from Middle class and upper middleclass families. They want the PR and Citizenship so they can eventually pull their entire family from India over to Canada. But they have to Work at Burger king or Tim Hortons when they arrive. And the HATE and resent Canadians for it. \n Canada allows people to keep their foreign passports and citizenship. There are 300,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Hong Kong, There are 450,000 people with Canadian citizenship living in Lebanon with a War about to expand across the border. We cannot continue with this.....every time one of these places destabilizes they end up on the CBC waiving their Canadian passports demanding the Canadian government do something to get them out. \n The Author of the video is correct. The Canadian government makes alot of money in immigration fees from immigrants but before they were bringing people from all over the world but for past decade it happens to be alot of east Indians, i lived in Brampton for 20 years but decided to move out in 2021 because it didn’t feel like i was living in Canada anymore thanks to Mr Trudeu who gave them ez pass , all the jobs were finished, employers only wanted to hire newcomers so they can exploit them n then you see them protesting on roads, residential areas for not getting paid by employers,failing in college, visa renewal issues, This was another reason why you see so many homeless people and higher rent rates! The government should have balance of jobs before they start bringing immigrants to come and undercut the wages

This was happening in Australia in the noughties — I saw it first hand in 2004 ? although I live in the US now. \n\nThis exploitation is around in many countries, not just Canada. I’m surprised that anyone is surprised about this — it’s been going on for decades. If you think this is bad, check out what happens in the UK or the US. \n\nBesides, Pierre and Justin Trudeau are on record standing proud about hosting and nurturing terrorists from Punjab during the 1980s and 2020s. It’s like the Canadian Government needs this to happen.

To be honest this is not just a Canada problem, I work in recruitment in Canada across from Ontario to Vancouver remotely from South Africa. Its pretty much the same here. Most people live paycheck to paycheck. I manage to save despite also studying still and working, and life, but if i was working like my peers jobs here. I'd still live at 33 at my parents. That a lot of people do. \n\nI think its an international issue. But the reasons like safety, winter and cold, religion, definitely look at asian countries for sure. \n\nWent to Vietnam last year, the level of safety was amazing there, if you could keep Salary from Canada and move to a country like that you can live extremely comfortable.

A Pakistani talking about Indian immigration, and listen to this... the biggest blunder he makes is by saying that he is feeling more unsafe in Canada than in Pakistan. Let's not forget that.\n\nI agree with Harrison that immigration has been excessive and has gone out of control in Canada over the past few years, and I would say the current government is mostly to blame. They should tighten regulations regarding study permits and issue visas only to genuine students who want to grow in this beautiful country, rather than those planning to work at pizza shops for the rest of their lives. We also need to crack down on the aggressive sales practices of immigration consultants in developing nations like India. Let's not forget the big culprits behind this: the admissions officers of the colleges, who fully endorse these practices to meet their revenue targets by any means possible, all under the watchful eyes of the government and IRCC.\n\nI've witnessed this firsthand. I openly challenge those consultants and Canadian college admission officers to be upfront with prospective and future students and tell them in person, before accepting their applications, that a study permit does not guarantee permanent residency in Canada. Explain the rules behind that and see what happens next—people will stop coming to Canada altogether. Consultants and colleges need to be honest with their prospective students and not just include those important facts in a fine print under a bunch of paperwork. \n\nAnd my god, the programs most colleges sell—useless diplomas that are of no use in their home countries either. They won't even get a job as a busboy using those useless diplomas and certificates back home....\n\nI'd love to talk with you if you like, Harrison, as I'm a former international student and now a proud Canadian citizen.

My girlfriend has been living in canada illegal for the las 15 yrs. She was deported 10 yrs ago for working with someone else's S.I. N. after immigration was called. Immigration told my company that the only way she was able to stay at my company if they were able to pay her cash. 17 yrs later and she works for the same company for cash. Tax free. I go with her, and others to bodegas in Toronto where they cash all cheques in the back room at the end of the bodegas. No questions asked. The reason Immigration was called was because the S.I.N she was caught with had $10.000 thousand unpaid taxes over the years. And the person that let her use her card for $300 each month needed the card to go on welfare. No one had to pay the taxes. My company today is 90% illegal workers. All in hotels all over Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga you name it.

In the past 5 years Canada's standard of living sank so low and is approaching that of India. it has become clear now that Canada\n is not really the cash cow that most immigrants once thought it was !

By the way, multiculturalism doesn't mean multiple laws. In Afghanistan, it's culture for 9 year old girls to be sold to 55 year old men but in Canada that's illegal. In the Middle East, men can have 4 wives but that's not normal in Canadian culture. Qatar still has slaves but in Canada, that's illegal. So who is racist, if Canadians want a stop to massive easy immigration? And who murdered Hardeep Singh Nijjar? Please stop assuming it's okay to have 20 people living in 3 bedroom house! Stop assuming the caste system isn't in Canada. South East Asians are hurting Canada and their own families!\nThe federal government needs to start focusing on investing on Canadians couples who want to start having families. Let's be clear, the famous boxer Muhammed Ali stated he wanted his children to look like him and he is entitled to that. Stop discriminating against white people by not allowing white people from Germany, Ireland etc to immigrant to Canada. It's corporations who don't want to hire white people because desperate brown people are cheaper to hire and abuse. \n It was first indigenous who settled in this country. Then it was the British and French, who were Christians. Canadians laws, traditions culture & values are based on Christianity. Canada is not founded on Islamic laws, Hinduism caste system, or any other foreign religion that goes against tradition Christianity or progressive values such as having basic human rights. Of course non whites can be Christians or at least respect traditional Canada values but the federal government is making no effort to assimilate the new economic migrants recently coming to Canada. So imagine if students only had the option to return home after graduation, none will come to Canada and the economy will suffer. Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. She has been here for over 2 years, yet speaks only a few words of English and a few words of French. Sad. If I live in Ukraine for the same period of time, I will have learned how to understand, read, write and speak Ukranian.

I’m a Canadian nurse and I lived in the US for 10 years during my career. I did it when I was young to gain work experience and travel with friends. It gave me a lot of insight in how it feels to live in both countries. I’ve been a nurse and patient in both counties so I also know how it feels to work, live and be a resident in both. \n\nI cannot articulate enough how it has confirmed to me how fortunate I am to be Canadian. The perks to living in the US were very superficial and frivolous things that matter very little in the broad scheme of things,….which I see as more restaurant chains, cheaper restaurant food, more shopping options, etc. As a young person when I lived there,…those things seemed amazing but matter far less as I get older. \n\nWhen I lived there, I paid a fraction of the income taxes that I paid in Canada but it’s only short term gain for long term pain. The cost of health care, the amounts of gov funded benefits (disability, EI, pension, etc) in the US makes it well worth paying taxes to offset these things as in Canada. I have had cancer 3 times in 5 years and I’ve not paid a cent for treatment, scans, surgery, etc in Canada. My employer held my job for 2 years and I received long term disability of 70% of my yearly wages and my employer paid my full pension and benefits as I was off of work. After 2 years, my cancer returned and was deemed incurable so I will continue to receive this pay and benefits until I’m 65 and can retire as I can no longer work. I have no financial worries as I battle cancer. \n\nTo contrast,…my US employer was a world reknowned hospital that had excellent pay and benefits. Had I been working there when I was diagnosed with cancer, I would only have gotten full pay for 6 weeks until my sick time and vacation time was used up. Then I was eligible for a fraction of my income for 3 months, which would not be enough to live on. I would not have had my pension paid. After that, I’d receive no more pay and my employer would hold my job without pay for 6 months and then I’d be let go. My cancer required nearly 2 years off of work so after 5 months of this minimal pay, I’d have no income, no job and no benefits with a new pre existing condition to ensure that I’d have a snowballs chance in hell of getting future coverage. Meanwhile during that 5 months of some pay, I’d still need to pay huge costs of treatment despite having insurance but that would disappear after I was let go from my job. I’d have to return to work during my treatment just to afford to continue it. I have many US friends that had a similar cancer that worked throughout to cover basic cancer care while I was able to recuperate without working or fearing being unable to pay. There is nothing comparable to this when you are sick. It is everything!\n\nSadly, many of my American friends are very ill informed on how health care works in other countries and don’t see the shortcomings in their own. Ironically though, they are willing to argue it without proper information so I often find that bizarre. While lived there I felt as though I was in a bubble where the only news that I saw was US news. I saw no info or minimal about Canada in my whole time there,…aside from falsehoods about health care to scare people away from seeking change. “Canadians are all dying while waiting”, “they are all coming to the US for care”, “they pay 80% income tax” etc. All propaganda,…some from politicians or those that should know better. It was truthfully mind boggling to me how educated people could know so little about the world. It almost felt as though they heard so much propaganda about how terrible other places were while only having knowledge of the US, that it ensured that things would stay the same without anyone wanting beneficial changes to dysfunctional policies (like health care, cost of meds, lack of gun regulations, etc). It’s very bizarre.

Sorry, but I didn't know 'so many people' were leaving Canada. In fact, my European friends living in Canada, LOVE Canada. Their number one reason? The government is for the people. Their numerous benefits, programs and services (employment Insurance, child benefit, pensions, benefits for housing, student aid, family benefits, grants and funding opportunities, disabilities and their recently implemented dental care plan), says it all. Sure the cost of living is high, but where isn’t? Especially after covid and especially if you want a decent quality of life. Their car insurance and phone plans are also expensive but they're getting better. Stay out of the big cities if you can't afford it. There are other parts of Canada that is affordable. \n\nBtw, the healthcare industry, particularly the long-term care sector is a good place to earn a decent living. They are always looking for RNs, PSWs etc. \n\nIn the end, the positives outweigh the negatives. Besides having free healthcare and the many generous social services and benefits, Canada is also a progressive country with strong social policies, including gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights and environmental sustainability, (we’re drinking out of those gross cardboard straws now. Hello?). Then there is our natural and breathtaking landscapes, our four seasons, our excellent education system, diverse communities, friendly people, our cool festivals (The Calgary Stampede, Montreal International Jazz Festival, Caribana, Toronto International Film Festival, Just for Laughs Montreal, Pride Toronto are a few that come to mind), our great air and water quality, strict gun laws, legal cannabis… I could go on and on.\n\nIf you're able to afford living in Canada, consider yourself fortunate.

I lived in vegas for a very short time, it was planned to be living there but we went back to Canada. I am dual citizen either way. As a Canadian who can trace is lineage to the early Saskatchewan settlers, many of the negatives experienced by immigrants are also experienced by those born here. \n\nIt’s ALWAYS been insanely difficult to find a well paid job here. Unless you know someone inside the organization who can pull you in, you’ll have an uphill battle. Both federal and provincial governments are complicit regarding the housing shortage. They knew WELL in advance that accepting too many immigrants, and not building a matching number of dwellings for them would cause housing shortages and push up prices greatly. They also knew WELL in advance that higher housing costs would destroy discretionary income and push living standards down for the working class. There's no surprises here. If they say otherwise, know for certain they're lying.\n\nCanada's economy is suffering because too much income must be allocated for housing, leaving far less for everything else. I live in Bangladesh. If I want private healthcare, I can book an appointment today and possibly see the doctor this evening for $5-$7 per session. The really really good doctors? The professor / vip level ones? $10-$15.\nIf I need to do tests, I'll get em done the same day and probably get the results the day after.\n\nThe government ones? ¢10 but then I would be standing in a line for like 2 hours.\nIn my hometown alone there are 35-40 private hospitals. It's a suburb-ish kinda town. There is also one semi-giant 500 bed government hospital. Most services are free there except AC cabins.\n\nI personally don't wish to go to Canada.
