If a Muslim was able to live at peace without having the hidden agenda of wanting to take over our government, & then force their Sharia on all Canadian citizens, which I'm very grateful hasn't come to that extreme yet, then maybe I wouldn't have my defenses up the second I see a Muslim in public places. Church & State should NEVER come together as one. That would not be fair to all of those who belong to other religions. The only acceptable religions in Canada, are the Reformed kind, where you have the right to practice your religion in secret, so that it doesn't offend other people.

Even here in the UK, many British born people regardless of race or religion are looking for better pastures. Although the grass may not be greener on the other side, people are fed up with all the decline in living standards all due to Government Politicians deliberate life ruining decisions.

I know people who immigrated from England and realised after a few years that they just couldn’t go back. The quality of life here was just that much different and they had acclimatised to it, so I can’t imagine where you’re thinking that you can go in the world where the quality of life for a Muslim family who has grown up in Canada will be better.\nOnly one of your four criteria will be satisfied. Word of caution, in regards to climate , too hot is worse than too cold.....if you end up somewhere without air-conditioning , it is going to be much worse then having access to heating in winter.....been there , so I know :) Another comment, try to separate religion from politics,. If you were born in Canada, you might not be fully aware of the difference between democratic and non-democratic societies. Religion only is not enough to make you happy, and having two girls and willing to risk their rights, require at least a conversation with someone that knows more about it. I have my own experiences and it seems to me that you idealize societies in which these rights are non-existent . You are right, Canada has become a very different country than it was when I first got here, but is still far cry from where you are planning to go. You seem like such awesome people, but I really can't align with your religion or any other religion. Canada is a secular country. Religion is a secondary private matter, up to you. I don't agree with religion, but I'm not free to restrict it.

Let's keep Canada a secular country! \nMuslims are doing their best to change Canada into an Islamic caliphate praying in the middle of busy streets blocking traffic so people can't get to long waited for doctor's appointments or business appointments. Muslims always emigrate to non Muslim countries WHY. Why not emigrate to Muslim country where you have your own religion and culture. As an antitheist, may I suggest you abandon religion, an archaic and superstitious fantasy delusion that most often does more harm than good in the world, and stay in Canada and work to help remedy the ills of the country. Religious people aften profess that religion makes people moral, yet you are clearly bigoted against LGBTQ people, and don't want to make sacrifices to help people in need (ie, all the destitute people in Canada that you want to flee from). It doesn't seem to me that religion is helping you to be better people. If you prefer to keep your religion, then I agree that leaving is best. We don't need more religious fanatics in the West- we already have too many of our own.

Sir , check out Malaysia, KL is a great country and Muslim friendly of course, but also a tolerant society . Check out the Philippines. I live there part time . On the SW corner of Mindanao (Zamboanga ) great town and 1/2 Muslim) people get along fine there usually. I live up in north Luzon - mostly Christian but Muslims are around too . No hassle and respectful. I don’t know your financial situation, however, in the Philippines, the school system is quite good, and private schools are stunningly excellent. I would definitely check out the Philippines and also Malaysia. Both have a great style of life and it doesn’t cost a fortune to live well. Education is quite good and the medical situation is also quite good. In the Philippines, however you have to select the hospital before you become ill in the Philippines, there is the public hospitals, which is fine for minor, scrapes and cut, but I would recommend a major hospital for anything serious. In Malaysia, the standard of medical care is good throughout the country. You could also consider northern Thailand. Southern Thailand is too much into tourism, but northern Thailand has a good mixture of people and religions. Mainly a Buddhist country, but very tolerant towards Christians, Hindus, and Muslims. People who have grown up in Christian majority Western countries are absolutely supportive of Muslims moving to Muslim majority theocratic countries, and staying there. Of course I wouldn't dream of moving to a theocratic Muslim country and try to change it to my preference. So why should Muslims move to these Western countries that protect minorities and enshrine religious freedoms into their law and try to change it all to their preference? Those countries you mentioned have Azan and use symbolic ways while they literal slaves from India. A country like Canada might not symbolically showcase holiness, but in practice, at least they don't take your passport away and take you hostage. I think action speaks louder than pretension. I think this religion thing has very negative impacts especially as each group both Christians, Muslims, and Jews believe they are the chosen people and the ticket to better life is sold thru their citizenship of hevean program. I am a South African and today more than ever, I can say I am a proud South African. \nIt is not always all sunshine and roses. ? Well, actually it is sunshine. At least 300 days of the year.\nI don't live in an Islamic state but in my country we make provision for all religions and cultures. \n1.7% of the population is made up of people of islamic religion. That is more than 1million muslims living here. 78% are Christians. We have Mosques, halaal food in nearly every city and Islamic schools in certain areas where there is a higher populations of muslims.\n\nFor the muslims who prefer to attend a normal school, provision is made for islamic cultural and religious events within these schools.\n We hear the Athaan 5 times a day. In fact we hear it so often that we dont hear it anymore. It has become part of who we are as a nation. We hear the church bells ring. This reminds us of who we are. I live opposite a Jewish cemetery that has a synagogue. With religious events we cant get out of our drive ways because of the congestion if traffic due to this. But we still respect and understand. \nWe have a very diverse culture and most of us respect the diverse cultures.\nI live in Cape Town and would not want to live anywhere else. \nGood luck with your journey and follow your heart.

Canada is a super secular country and people who take...well just about any serious religion seriously feel that way. Even with visibility and feeling safe...remember when Churches were being burnt a few years ago? I was legitimately afraid some of the Churches in my area would be subject to arson and i often feel like I have to keep my faith secret. again...i'm not Muslim...i'm Christian and yeah, I feel this way.

Sounds like a good decision for you. It seems in general all people are happier in countries where their religion is the majority religion. My sister, an atheist but culturally Western/Christian, lives in a Muslim country temporarily as a Christian so I get it.

But, I think it best for people to align with folks who think like them and have there same values. The West, with all of its problems, does still align with mine. The is no force on religion, and people can believe in who and what they want as long as it does not harm someone else. It was always funny to me that Muslims would want to come to Western nations, whose values don't align with theirs. But anyway, safe journey and may you find your happiness.

Hello Saleh Family, I am not a Muslim and never understand why people from Muslim countries decide to move to Canada. You knew well in advance Canada has winter, no Muslim culture and environment, no Arabic language, hijab is not welcomed, etc, etc. Why not to stay at Palestine where you came from, why not to move to countries with same weather, same religion, same culture, same language, be a Muslim majority at countries like Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia which is next door to country you born. I mean the authorities were doing what they had to per law - law is secular so doesn’t take into account religion. University could’ve been more understanding before calling in authorities…people need to be more aware of cut differences….

Respecting people's rights to choose what they believe and practice - but saddened that so many people\nfollow religions and do not truly research the symbolism, the history, the connections - no one should \nbe attacked for wearing a head covering etc - at the same time Muslims, like many other religious\ngroups just follow what the leaders say - and - if they truly researched they would find out that \nfollowing men and clerics is not wise and not even what our Creator wants for us.\n\nI was raised in a large world wide accessible religion - then, when I saw and heard things that\ndid not add up - I prayed for truth and then pro-actively researched - I compared the teachings\nof that religion from materials with in and from out with - and drew my conclusions - I also\nbeleive that I was led to find some very useful information not of myself - I learned enough\nto make an informed decision to leave that religion. My journey after that has not been an\neasy one as there is a lot of conflicting information and factions in this world - but over time\nmy original decision has been re-enforced by facts - I also came across the origins of Islam\nand who controls it - and that would be a surprise to many - and likewise would surprise\nother people in other religions ( including the popular New Age / Eastern Mystic religions)\nare all run by the same group world wide - and The New Age / Eastern Mysticism have\nbeen marketed as some kind of non religious freedom - but are, in fact religions with\ndogmas and leaders.\n\nThe Truth has set me free - I continue to study and to have faith alone in our Creator alone\nand I try to continue to learn what I can about the world and about spiritual things - to aid\nmy understanding and discernment. The battle between rationalism, western greco-roman values and religious faith does effect people. It's better for people who live by a book, to move to areas where Abrahamic religions still have relevance. Secularism has pluses and minuses, but is the hot bed of technology, invention and human rights. Alas theocracies, if taken literally lead to judgement and intolerance for those who need to be protected. Progress carries on regardless.

Amidst so many events lately, Which are opening so many horizons for people, I also, but cant help myself realise a few very significant events unfolding in front of my eyes. \n\nWhilst listening to your reasons to move, I am realising that Allah (God) is aligning the world into two very distinct parts, right wing and the left wing. And it's taking place in every religion/ community. \n\nVery well be for the end of times, as many of us are currently realising.

As an atheist I wish you all the best, it's true the political games destroying the West from within. Though I'm on the side of LGBT and i believe that they should have rights like everyone else, at the same time I understand that some extreme ideologies can go and push so far and I agree that let kids be kids. My only concern is that Islamic countries do not have any rights for LGBT people at all, in fact, they are being prosecuted based on religion since religion is basically the law. I guess only time will tell if you made the right choice, I can not recommend any country this is something that you need to research deeply and make a decision for yourself.\nI'm in British Columbia, and my child had never experienced any drug queen library stories or anything like that, nor did teachers teach them anything without our consent, there is full transparency between teachers and parents.\nAt the same time, I'm just like you disproving collective punishment of Palestinian citizens, the atrocities are sickening and I couldn't believe that the United Nations is tiptoeing and not being proactive in defending Palestinian children, it's just unthinkable to me that it's happening in the 21st Century.
