As a Canadian from Québec I can tell you that you're right. The truth is we get fucked by our government since over 20 years. They invent new taxes, they steal more on our paycheck. I'm soon 30 and I can't still afford for a house when in 2000s with my actual salary I could've afford a house easily. We're sick of this lifestyle too so I understand completely why you're leaving except for the weather because I'm used to it unfortunately ?

There's an old say from my country that goes: the cat whose belly is full, always find the tail of the mouse taste bitter. So the immigrant, like a hungry cat, comes to Canada for food( opportunities) and once his belly is full, he then starts complaining of the taste of the food. You ladies just named every single reason why an opportunist can't stay in one place. I live, as an immigrant in the US, and Im a physician, and I can tell you while the Canadian health system is flawed it is far better than the US. Your 8 hrs+ waiting in the ER is literally a standard waiting time...so please be PATIENT! ( just getting a little sarcastic here, i know it sucks!) 35 to 40% of my money go the government ( although i feel they take 50%) and life is not that cheap ( a lot of Physicians leave expensive places like NY because they can't afford them anymore! ) have you heard of HOMELESS workers in LA? ( some have 2 jobs but still can't afford an apartment and live in their cars ) things are hard everywhere, especially if you are an immigrant living in one of the coldest place in the world (btw nobody called you, that was your choice, so suck it up!) I hope one day, while Im still young, I can go back home to work for my people, and not when I retire and tired to have my people work for me, how selfish and opportunistic is that mentality! The Nomad life most of you like, is killing a country spirit and Culture and it's no longer feasible in modern society, since the lands have borders and names and inhabited by people that value a sedentary life. The idea of people going to the foreign countries to get their passport so they can travel the world, sounds so individualistic...which Nation can develop with that kind of thinking of their citizens?....definitely not yours.

Nigeria is literally gone and in a deeper hole than it was in 2015. As the days goes by it is becoming INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT to survive on a daily basis. Anybody telling someone to go back to Africa does not mean well. Most Nigerians that come back home is because of 3 things it is either they are lazy committed murder domestic violence or involved in shady deals or their family idol summoned them back home. And Nigeria has the best cathedrals while our hospitals are nothing short of mortuaries.

Let's just all pray for a better Nigeria and vote right this time around. Imagine that some ignorant youths are still rooting for Tinubu and his life likes. The same party that reduced Nigeria to where it now. I can't tell if it's stupidity, or wickedness. Peter Obi for President come 2023 because every body cannot run away from Nigeria. If Tinubu or Atiku makes it to presidency in 2023, then Nigeria is finished. This 2023 election is our like our only hope for a better Nigeria, let's not toil with it.

When I tell Africans not to go to Canada they never listen. Canada is a really cool country. There's no doubt about that but in winter the weather gets really cold, dull, grey and depressing. Instead of moving always to The UK, US or Canada, why not try the Caribbean and some central American countries. These countries are very colorful, lively and bright with climate similar to ours. There are lots of folks over there that look like us as well except that you may have to learn a little Spanish which shouldn't be a problem at all. \nI'm a Nigerian too.\nI also dreamt of moving to Canada 15 years ago. I was so crazy in love with the country at first but because I was aware of how depressing winters can be I had to switch my dream destination to the Caribbean. I choose Panama because of the large Afro Panamanian community over there. Secondly because Panama looks like a more developed version of My country, Nigeria with beautiful beaches and a nice tropical weather. It's one of those few Caribbean nations with a free world class universal healthcare system like most countries in Europe.

There are lots of things to do if you are interested in being active. Canada is a very beautiful country and there are lots of places to visit and enjoy. \nYou need to educate yourself about what people are paid in the US and Canada. The minimum wage is a lot higher in Canada. I suggest that you leave Canada and then you will appreciate what a wonderful country we live in. Go to Trinidad for example and buy groceries ...pay over a thousand dollars a week for food, then tell me that food is too expensive in Canada. (25.00 for a box of cereal)!Go to a hospital there and you will wait for a whole day just to be seen. Yes, we have a shortage of medical doctors and nurses here, but they are trying to fix that. Sure we pay taxes, but if you or someone in your family needs a heart transplant, a knee replacement or whatever, you will get it FREE in the hospital, and while you are in the hospital, your bed will have sheets and pillow cases. Drive your car on the roads in Trinidad and the potholes will ruin your tires, not to mention the frame of the car. Your taxes also maintains parks, roads and bridges for the safety and enjoyment of everyone. The government has no control over the weather, so complaining that it is too cold or rainy is up to mother nature. During the lockdown I am sure you received money from the government to help you, everyone did. Do you think other countries paid their people money to help them get through this crisis?? NO!\nI love Canada, it has been good to me and I never regretted emigrating here 42 years ago. I go traveling to other countries and I see how other people live and I am happy to come home. We had been misused and missed educated till now many African heads of government officials are still blind and deaf. My sisters Canada is still a good country compare to Nigeria where there is no good infrastructural facility, power and security of lives and properties. Look at how organized the government is compare to Nigeria where there is no. accountability. Tell me what is working where we came from. Right now ASSU on strike, government establishments getting moribund everyday. People immigrate from one place to place to better their lives. What you are not telling your viewers is that higher taxes in Canada pay for the free healthcare for all which the US does not have. The cost of healthcare in the US if you happen to be poor and without insurance can wipe you out. This is the major reason for the difference in taxes. There is obviously room for improvement in health care delivery.
