Where do people get off demanding to be let into a country? Every single country in the world has immigration rules. They are their for a reason. People need background checks, a skill set that is needed, and a way to support themselves once here. We have tried bringing relatives legally just on a tourist visa and they were denied. Even after we paid the application fee, showed bank accounts, etc. so anyone who just thinks they have the right to come here better think again. That’s just the way it is until reform. Opening the floodgates to anyone is not reform, it’s chaos. Would you let just anyone walk into your house uninvited?

I have nothing against anyone but Can we all feed them here in our country. I as a woman ,I held 2 jobs for many years and I expect that when I retire there will be enough money for my retirement.

Anyone who actually stops investigates will find that almost every major country ( UK, France , Germany, Japan , Korea) are facing the same issues on matters such as affordibility and health care issues . All one has to do is read publications such as The Economist to see the evidence . During my career - I an recently retired - I was located in a few other countries and Canada still remains a great country with opportunties . I also know that most who claim they will never come back almost always do because there comes the point where they are older and have health issues and in most cases they come back to Canada. At the same time, we are charged excessive fees for internet and cell phone useage. I note that both major political parties ( the Liberals and the CPC) ever take any real action to address the excessiv charges rendered by Shaw, Rogers, Bell Media, and similar conglomerates .

Man , it's about time. Has anyone else noticed that a majority of crimes in Canada over the last couple of years , have been committed by people who have unpronounceable names , and darker complexions. I’m Colombian and it’s sad to see people from my country lying to the authorities to get documentation. \nI know everyone wants a better life and definitely my country is not the best place for low /middle income families; however, we should understand that US or Canada have no obligations to legalize anyone. There are already so many problems to handle in their territories and with their citizens.

Canada should put a limit to number of refugees they can accept. We can do our part but we can’t openly let anyone in. With climate change, it is expected that the number of refugees with increase in the world. What will canada do then? Put a number limit now. It’s not a easy decision but someone has to take it.

The world was meant to offer free movement for all. For thousands of years, that's how it was. The current system actually hinders human growth and prosperity. Just consider the United States. It's made of many states. If there's a problem in one place or lack of opportunities, people travel to another state. Thus, people have opportunities to change their without there being any problems for anyone. No one in California is crying that people from NY are stealing their jobs and vice versa. Likewise, if people had free movement globally, people could escape troubles in one place and create opportunities elsewhere. When such a situation exists, God's blessings come too. However, the current way only makes people have to choose between the devil and some sea.
