True. I was born and raised in the countryside in Mexico. Even in the cities in Mexico and other Latin American countries, life is more vibrant. I remember when I used to live in the city in my home state in Mexico, you couldn't even tell if it was a weekend or the middle of the week because there were always many people sitting around in the parks and central plazas enjoying life. Businesses used to close two hours for lunch so the employees had plenty of time to go home or eat anywhere before going back to work in the afternoon. Life wasn't just about work, but here in the United States it seems like everything revolves around work, work, work, and work... and that doesn't seem to be a healthy lifestyle (physically and psychologically).

Come to India, you can never feel lonely..........billions of people, streets jammed with traffic, high density population, stray dogs, stray cows, continous honking from vehicles etc......it's a happening place I can tell you, it may seem chaotic at first but India will never feel boring and depressed and to mention each month there are some festivals, celebrations, fares and street foods......India acts like an anti-depressant

I keep telling immigrants this. I want to get away from my own country (Australia). The western countries are so weird now. The only thing I think people could be coming for is the money and products. But I think that is on the way out too. My friend, it depends on what you want out of your time in US. If you want outdoor life, there is plenty of it here, you just have to know what to do and where to go. If you have been indoors for 10 days and only gone out twice, then that tells a lot about your own self, not being an outdoor person. There are parks, lakes, amusements, beaches. There are facilities for hiking, walking, cycling, etc. I really think that you have not been exposed or you have not explored what is available here for outdoor fun. In the western world you can take your family out camping in the forest with the assurance that you will come back home safely. You can take your boat down to the lake for a day of fun with no problem. If you lived in most parts of Africa, and bought a boat, and started going to the river or lakes in the weekend, then the police commissioner, or military person who lives close to you will fabricate a reason to intimidate you and confiscate it. What I mean is in Africa, you run the risk of becoming a target once people see that you are an ordinary citizens who is doing well. Here, not like that.\n\nJust be happy that you are here and make the most of it. While you were in Africa, you dreamt about coming to America, now that you are here, all you want is to recreate Africa here. If Africa was good enough, no African will want to be here.

I am genuinely surprised that Quebec ranked so high, because I'm from there and I've always had plenty of empirical evidence telling me otherwise. The income is meh, the education system is meh, health care is super meh, taxes are mega-meh to the point that they cause brain-drain, and the nightlife is incredibly meh (unless you're in downtown Montreal). Options are unlimited.\nBut then when you get to your 30s, you`ll want some measure of security and peace. Thats where Canada is the best option.\nBut as you reach late 40s,early 50s you will want to look at a place to retire to... thats where UK wins, it is the perfect place to retire\n\nSo in Summary, US is best for 20s. CA is best for 30s/40s. UK is best for 50s,60s.\nA colleague of mine tells me Australia is the perfect mix of all three. But I cant tell as I have not lived or been there.

It is unfortunate that Canada thinks that their schools are so good that they cannot except people with schooling from another country. Canadian kids overpay for what they get. Public school is also a joke. Imo they do not except other counties diplomas because they are probably trying to protect their professors and their schooling system. If you tell them that their schools are the best then they will believe you over time. It is a shame.
