Indian are usually sarcastically racist but if you are visiting India they will treat you like you are really special. They have a saying for this, they treat their guests pretty well. You might get some looks but Indians will never treat you like this Karen. Also isn't 1 in 5 doctors in USA an Indian, americans will have a health crisis if all these people decided to move back.

You don't even have guts to visit India. Also India will become a super power in no time , see the number of soldiers we have , it's more than north America. Coming to technology we produce 1 million engineers every year. So now you do the math. We indians are racist to other people who live in South India or north india. But we are not racist to people from same state or same part of India.

I hope you don't underestimate Europe's existing problems when i went to London 4 years ago i was shocked that it wasnt the place i imagined it to be no need to explain im sure you understand what i mean. Im an Asian immigrant, but i wasnt expecting that i couldnt even see a caucasian in London mostly arabs, blacks, indians, some asians i do not hate it but im just confused i worked in the middle east for 10 yrs and i was hearing arabic speaking everywhere, also asian language its like im in Vancouver or Surrey area. I thjnk its not an isolated problem probably your new to that place thats why you do not see the problems yet but i hope you made the right decision. All the best. The tax is really quite high but the Canadain government though with some flaws is still better than most countries believe me i have lived in Asia, middle east and been to places and met all kinds of people. One thing that seperates Canadian from most other nationalities despite the different ethnicities and races Canadians are generally nice and less violent and id rather have my kids grow up here than any part of the world. Most racism exists within India, people get killed based on their religion, caste and what not. Being yelled at is probably the least of the racist behavior if you been in India. Even in some states, like maharasthra, north Indians were beaten for just being there and ‘taking up their jobs’….. mobs violently lynches and kill people for being muslim, or of ‘lower caste’…. Just last week a 65 year old man was beaten to death by a hindu, who suspected that this guy was a muslim. Turns out that he wasn’t a muslim.

Can you record or question anything in US embassy in any Indian city? Same instructions is every embassy. I have been to Indian embassy in NYC many time. People behave like crazy. I have seen people scream on officers for visa denial.

I'm an Indian living in India. People here dream of places like America and start saving money from a very young age. I think they don't know the true reality of the Western countries. Many of my relatives who go to these countries never come back. I think your point about getting used to it is also true. They never complain about the lonliness. They only praise it, saying that it's not as loud as India. But I don't think I'll be able to live such an isolated life.

Boss, i stay in India and life here too is now as complicated as it is in the West, if not more! In today's urban India most of them don't know who their neighbours are/ don't interact with them for years together. Even amongst the neighbours, they keep in touch with each other via mobile phone (predominantly WhatsApp). Children avoid staying with parents and relatives at ALL costs to an extent where they even leave their natives/ immigrate abroad to achieve the objective. Work pressures at the Indian private sector is probably the highest in the world where most employees don't even have time to breathe let alone interact! Btw for those who argue that the Western society is highly depressed and immoral blah blah blah, lemme give you a reality check- India is almost about to become the dubious capital of depression of the world, divorces in Indian society is SO high that it's way too common now to see people who've been divorced/ married second or third time, people fighting marital disputes in courts for years and years and in most cases paying off the girls family hefty and mouth watering out of court settlements to achieve peace of mind......the list is endless......so where does an ordinary 21st century Indian achieve peace of mind and a peaceful life with a quality lifestyle to boot? It's obviously the Americas and Europe (mostly). It may seem ironic to some old timers, but it's the harsh realities of the world today.

There are tonnes of videos being made and already available online regarding how tough life is in the west and how depressing it is there, how weird it is there blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.....my simple questions are:\n --- how come to this day 95% of folks who leave India for abroad shores NEVER come back???\n--- how come people are standing in endless queues for getting passports, work visas and Permanent Residencies in foreign shores???\n--- what prevents Indians to come back to India and live after making tonnes of money aboard \n--- if staying in such countries is indeed SO depressing, how come immigration is only increasing every year on year (inspite of covid)???\nCan anybody provide me with the answers rooted in reality please???

Boy am i glad i m living in South East Asia....warm weather n people n delicious spicy food( malay, chinese. Indian, indonesion , middle eastern n even western food)

I am an Indian and I have lived in sweden for 4 years. It is more or less the same. I tried calling people for food but most of them never showed up or had no Interest. I am glad I left and return back to my country. Everything in moderation makes sense to me. If money is important then so is your culture, food and family that brings comfort to you. In the developing world, you will generally find people more friendly and welcoming. It is easy to get around with people. But not so in the west.

Never been to any of these western countries but as an Indian I think about this issue most often. There's another aspect of population. We guys in South Asia and Africa having people all around us are used to it and the interactions are unavoidable. So it's a major shock for us to not see people.

That’s why they are rich, they only do work and don’t care who’s living in neighbouring and do they have any problems or not.\nWe Indian are not rich but we help and support each other, we have joined families with lot of members. In my village of Uttar Pradesh If someone fall sick and he/she is from poor family then imam of mosque ? will announce a request from ? to all villagers for the support of ill person in the treatment and people help a lot no matter they are Muslim or Hindu.\nPeople are nice if they keep themselves away from news and politicians.

As an Indian living in Australia , I can relate with every single word said here. Australia like most western countries, is good if you wish to make some money but not so good if you want to have an active social life. its cold and desolate most times of the year. Hardly any sun in the south eastern states. People keep to themselves and indoors most of the time. .Social life is almost non existent which can cause serious psychological issues., Depression being very common. Kids here develop serious mental issues right from a young age . If you are a single man its even worse. If you want happy healthy active social life, avoid going to western countries.

Isn't it the same story nearly everywhere? I've the same mental experience living in an Indian city. Living away from your family because you have to make a living is a double edged sword. You have to earn to live and also bear with loneliness. It is a gas chamber. Combine that with unsympathetic people around you, some of whom are pure evil and your nightmare is complete.

Try doing this recording in American consulate!!! Such people should be bared from entering India.\n\nIndia has full rights to deny visa to those who bad mouth India. Make these applicants who have no duty towards India, who have given up their citizenship somehow think they have right to get Indian visa. \n\nMake these desh-drohi pay the price. Be polite, Indian Visas will be as difficult as American visa was for you. Only then India will be valued.

Well I am certainly not surprised by such behavior. Indian officials get some sort of superiority complex after clearing UPSC, they start seeing people beneath them. I still remember we were on a tour in rashtrapati bhavan and some of the staff there for no reason were manhandling us especially children . We didn't do anything wrong and we were obeying every instruction yet we were shouted at and manhandled. India still is following the norms laid down during the time of British raj where public servants are taught to harras people instead of serving them.

Oh this is how every Indian official gov workers behaves, at least 90% of them. While we don't know the full version here, I'll share mine.\nI've waited for hour outside the entrance door along with others where we don't have waiting chairs so had to sit on steps where people pass by even though we all came at the right time that was written on our papers. Then I had to wait about 3 more hours for my appointment chance and then they checked my docs and decided that I don't have two particular doc which isn't even that important these days, but he didn't say that at once, we got first doc and then he said I need another doc. so I had to wait for 3 more hours to get mine as (we had to go to school and get that doc) while all other people like those grandparents, job applicants and farmers got their passports and visas. *sighing*\nI still remember the attitude of that officer, It's like he was just there and I was just waiting his time, and he was just reminding me that his work time was about to be done and that he needs to go. \nI don't understand how the gov offices works, we have tons of population and of course tons of applications that needs to be done for work, yet the gov office working hours just 6-6.5 hours? And they work at sloth speed as well. Software workers have it way hard *taking deep breaths*\nNo use in ranting about how it works in our country

Some people think he is mentally off but I can tell you that's not the case. \nSome Indians after getting a post they think they're better than everyone else and we need to fall at their feet to get things done. My people have been here for tens of thousands of years, we fought bravely for 300 years to try and keep our land, in the end no one one, but many treaties were signed , the Europeans getting land and the aboriginal people getting money.....a transaction no different than purchasing an item with money...except the amount owing was never paid as it was a lot of money, instead the amount owing was to be paid over a period of time...but this crooked government did not want to pay for the land..rather act like it was one by some kind of decisive war so white privileged people would feel as if they were giving handouts to Aboriginal people.
