I once had the opinion that every country should mind their own business. But with hordes of refugees wether due to war, dictatorships or poverty it's everyone's business. And humanity demands not being ignorant and let people die. So we have to figure out and fix issues even in foreign countries

Their countries are probably better off than our country. People stay where you are/were. Things are not good here. You'll be living on the streets. Begging for food. Many Americans are dealing with this. This is not living, it's barely existing. So so sad.

If you allow people to immigrate (legally or illegally) into your country that do not share your values or culture and have no intention to assimilate, you will have a divided country that will eventually lead to violence and potential downfall. This always happens.

idk about you guys but that is not the kind of people i would even want in my country. my parents immigrated too but never expected hand outs nor did they ever recieve financial aide of any kind. why give our taxpayer dollars to these people when we are not even taking care of our own people? people that they themselves have paid into the system. i have also worked with them and its been the worst experience. they dont want to do the work right and get offended when you try to coach them. they show up to work to recieve a check but dont come to work to work. they are people that just expect things to be given to them because thats how it used to be when venezuela was rich off oil. its sad that this is how they represent their people

There are enough illegal immigrants here in the US. Personally I think we should them instead as most have being paying their taxes and have contributed to our country in their way. Especially anyone that has lived here 10 years and have shown that they are good people.

In order for them to seek asylum, they must schedule in advance through an app, which I find it weird. The app however is very glitchy, so a lot of problems here. Some of these people have traveled far away believing this rumor. Reason why people are trying to cross so they can escape poverty and violence in their home country. Sad really.

But the countries themselves have not made their countries livable for so many . It's very tragic. I get that most Venezuelans main objective is to get into the US, but they are literally invading all South and North America countries. Born and raised Cdn and every point you raise is valid IMO and experience. I love my country however, it is hard to get ahead, we work too much, and cost of living is so expensive. The reason why Canada is wonderful for those who stay is A) Charter of Rights and Freedoms - we are protected by laws and citizens enjoy legal, justice, policing and gvmt services that help protect quality of life. B) it is a safe country primarily and not easy to reach for insurgents, terrorist attacks and political anarchy etc. C) We have so much land and space for people to decide where they want to live - density is not high so you can have space. D) it is a beautiful country with awe inspiring nature. E) we do have one of the best immigrant populations and that is our crown. Being diverse is a blessing so if you are atheist, Christian, Muslim etc doesn't matter - you can enjoy freedom to worship as you wish. And F) Healthcare could improve but, the quality of care is world class and speaking as a breast cancer survivor who's treatment ran $120k (diagnostics, chemo, surgery, radiation, med professionals, rehab and drug therapies) we have access to that care whereas in other countries you may not.

Allow the border patrols to do their jobs, seal the borders electric fences, rubber bullets and water canons and anyone crossing illegally should be sent to prison automatically 7 years for trespassing into a country illegally...then on release date a 1 way ticket back to where they came from..... if I hurt anyone feelings just write down your address if you wanna house illegals in your place....our families have come here legally generations in and paying high taxes in nyc to see these people just come in and think its all free.... housed in expensive zipcode, hotels, while we overlook the inside of our country... opioid epidemic, country divided, homeless everywhere, let's take care of our own country and everyone who came here legally.!!!!❤ ?? ? ??

I cant imagine being in their shoes.. its heartbreaking. Theyre so desperate to feel safe and stable again and they truly think america is the safest place and will produce opportunities. My father is a viet war lieutenant and was privileged to be able to come here legally as a refugee. He provided our family with a stable home and never starved. My family is very privileged and i wish i could help all of those in war torn countries or just people running from corruption but its so little we could do…
