If you allow people to immigrate (legally or illegally) into your country that do not share your values or culture and have no intention to assimilate, you will have a divided country that will eventually lead to violence and potential downfall. This always happens.

I live in Juárez, Venezuelans here are offered jobs and they refuse, they wanna live off government help. I believe everything should be done the legal way. My sister is a United States citizen, I have a VISA and visit from time to time, but everything within the legal path. \nIt is not the US responsibility nor is it Mexico's to accept this people and give everyone humanitarian shelter and a job. \n\nIt's a real shame

My parents immigrated here legally from a third world country. And they learned to speak English in their childhood.

This is a failure of border policy. Bring them over, let them find jobs and make a legal way for them to get to the US for temporary citizen ship or send them to another country if they choose. It’s better to let them over legally and let them work than for them to be exploited or killed.

My friend is from Mexico who came to the US legally and has been a border officer for many years now. He has a very hard time telling Mexican migrants that they cannot enter the US illegally. But the law is law and it is the same if you enter Mexico. It's just a matter of Mexico doesn't have many opportunities for jobs that pays well and it's a better life in the US. I grew up with migrants all of my life. They worked 3 jobs for many hours per day but would rather have that than go back to Mexico - with no job. If Mexico had a flourishing economy, I feel migration isn't an issue. But then there's history - California belongs to Mexico but someone sold it to the Americans long ago.

This should have been done from the beginning, those supposed asylum seekers are put in hotels at our tax dollars. I feel bad, but my mama and uncle in the Philippines have been waiting for almost 30 years to come here trying to do it the legal ways. They're finally getting processed to come here and I hope everything goes well. I miss my mama so much and I can only imagine how much she misses me. I was 10, now in the late 20s ?
