Just come India then sikh will tell you what knife actually look likes. At least have some humanity about someone's religion .\nNote:- I am Hindu not Sikh.

Don't bring your kirpan to school or college as someone else will use it against you

Every country has their own rules and one should obey it… if wearing dangerous weapons is a tradition then one should do it in their home country… expecting other countries should accept the same does not make sense … it’s like someone coming to my home and behave in the way they want… I don’t accept as I have my own rules at my home.

It's amazing that when you see a pig that it's expected that they have a weapon that can kill someone on there person you don't think anything of it but you see a knife not hidden but on someone an the pig feels threatened
2022-10-08 0
It can still be used as a weapon regardless of religion if you saw someone that was white carrying a knife yould assume the same thing. religion doesn't make a weapon any less deadly

Whiz Queen, is there any considerably advantage for someone at about 70 yo to enjoy in Canada after obtaining visiting visa and visiting annually for three years consecutively. Can one apply for a permanent visa?
2022-10-08 0
I mean. It is a knife in school lol. What he expect. How would someone know it’s a religious thing?
2022-10-07 0
good. am glad.\nsuch stupidity must stop.\nboth Americans and this turban guy needs to stop carrying weapons.\nreligion is no excuse..\nIf religion was acceptable reason then someone will start a religion where its OK to carry machine guns and gun down school kids.
2022-10-05 0
Humans are stupid.\nWhat if some one start a religion where carrying Ak47 is mandatory \nObviously not....\nThey why someone is allowed in the name of religion to carry knife which can easily kill dozen of PPL.
2022-10-05 0
What's the point of carrying the knife? This is all bull sh**. Put him in the jail nobody is allowed to break rules of someone else's house.
2022-10-05 0
I'm an Indian and if i go to someone else house I should follow their rules... Keep your religion at home..... I support the arrest
2022-10-05 0
But why to break rules in someone's else country.
2022-10-04 2

2022-10-04 6

If anyone wants to move or visit montreal, you can very well make it without speaking french. The very vast majority of montreal speaks english as their second language. However, I still strongly recommend you learn at least a bit of french as the further you get from montreal, the less english speakers you will encounter (this can be as low as 30km away). Also, even if people do speak english as their second language, no one likes to get forced to adapt their speaking to someone who doesn't even try to make an effort to speak in the local language. So it is best if you learn at least the basics like: Hello -> Salut; Do you speak english? -> Parlez-vous anglais?; I don't speak french -> Je ne parle pas français;... And other basic sentences you would expect to say. More likely than not people will still switch to english if you know nothing in french, but usually people are more than happy if you try to speak their language and it makes for a more enjoyable experience all around.

Isnt it supposed to be worn under cloth. If you would carry ka knife(in eyes of foreigners) then definitely its invitation for trouble. I live in punjab and have never seen someone wear a kirpan outside their clothing. See these are kind of people who are creating nuisance in Canada and making it tough for us to go. Thats why hate crime is increasing against ?? in Canada bcs of what i have heard, canadians are one of the post polite and friendly people.

USA is the Dumbest place on Earth. Why the hell they don’t know how to respect someone’s religion. He was not using that knife and first of all thats not a knife thats a Kripan which means something that’s only be used against bad things and to protect weaker not to threaten innocents.
2022-10-02 0
He should have kept it within shirts. Even if someone is carrying gun he doesn't walk around with it. There is a way people perceive and that should be respected as well.
2022-10-02 0
i wouldnt be comfortable around someone carrying a knife. Religion makes people stupid..if its your tradition practice it in your home..
2022-10-02 0
His crime the color of ur skin also something someone doesn’t understand brings a level of fear
2022-10-02 0
If he were mad ans stabbed someone, who will be blamed then?
2022-10-02 0
Please tell me one time that someone took the kirpan and killed someone or stabbed someone ever? \nIf the UK and Canada and other counties have accepted it, what’s the big deal with America? \n\nYou guys want to argue and call it a knife, any student can bring a knife in their backpack. \nHow do you know that? Yet in America, all I hear on the news young teenagers walking in and doing mass shooting. Actually in America you can just go buy a gun anywhere. \n\nLike seriously? And you guys are worried of that?
2022-10-02 0
South American have drug culture \nCanada has weed culture \nChinese have monkey and snake eating culture \n\nThat doesn’t mean they come to India and do this all \n\nReligion is different and law are different \nIf someone murder or any incident happen directly it will be blame to this man for no reason and it will directly make whole Indians as negatively
2022-10-02 0
See this is simple, \nThe person who complaint didn't know what kirpan is freaked out and called the cops, I'd be scared to death if I'd see someone with a weapon (which eventually is not).
2022-10-01 0
Maybe he has religious intentions but we need to understand its not India, its USA and they have their own laws + there are many many incidents where school shooting happens or people get killed by things so people are scared of anything that they think can harm them. I am not saying calling police on someone is right just bcz they are following religion but we need to know where to follow your religion. Applies for india too, we can't take kirpan in colleges in india, can we?
2022-10-01 0
It could have been easily avoided if the guy was not so stubborn about his knife. Religion can fcuk itself. People get intimidated and scared when someone holds weapons. And this dude knows it and he wants it.
2022-09-30 0
What even is the point of all the years education when someone prioritises religion over common sense?
2022-09-30 0
Usual babus in US also. You can't deny visa to someone trying to attend last rites of a family member. Horrible people of that country
2022-09-30 0
Kripan in today's era a formality, so better keep a smaller one just for the name. Otherwise like hijab-turban, someone else will say his/her religion permits or mandates to keep guns or bombs. ?
2022-09-30 0
Someone from a developed nation who moves to a developing nation is always treated better than locals, however that is not the case for those that come from developing nations and settle in Canada . The reality of one person does not necessarily apply as a general rule for all. And honestly, Vancouver is not all Canada.

How can someone in Africa get to be there?
2022-09-30 0
If I saw someone with knife or a gun I too would call cops on them. I am not waiting to find out if its religious.
2022-09-30 0
I get it that's it a ritual. But what was his parents thinking when sending their son to educational institute with a knife?\n\nAnd he was ahowing it off like a goon could have hide it under his T-Shirt. And I wouldn't wanna be near someone carrying a gun or a knife without license cause one argument with him and I will be knocked cold.
2022-09-30 0
To all foreigners\n Not all sikhs carry kirpan nd those who do they do get complete training of how to use, when nd where to use.\nYou wont see us using kirpan in street fights ...it is only used to protect someone....We know your country allow gens but not this....just wanted to tell that you wont see someone using kirpan for wrong things
2022-09-30 0
If someone this vapid represents Canadian women, I'm fine not holding that identity...
2022-09-30 0
You shouldn't bring a weapon into a public place, even if it part of your religion. It's a hazard for others. Someone else can grab it and use it to harm others
2022-09-29 0
Lol a country where gun is allowed and legal and the students have no objections but but when someone carry a knife, they called the police seriously ?
2022-09-29 0
first of all.... its KIRPAN not KNIFE..\nsecondly... it cannot be use for stabbing or cutting something or someone bcs its again their beliefs
2022-09-28 0
apologies don't do anything I think the way he was handcuffed and probably has never experienced such thing in his life. The police officer should be sentenced some time in prison handcuffed to know how it feels to discriminate someones religion and beliefs. Its disgusting he got away with it and is still a police officer disgusting he shouldn't have a job either after this
2022-09-28 0
it's not a knife it's worn for a religious pupose it's for his faith. Juts because you have no beliefs don't take someone else's beliefs away. God will punish anyone who messes with his religion.

I am from India, I believe in my culture and customs in this situation its a weapon and safety hazard. What if someone else snatches the knife and hurt somebody. You never know. We should not push religion when it comes to safety.
2022-09-26 0
And why the hell must someone shoot the incident
2022-09-26 0
The problem is that often times due to religious practices, a lot of people from minority communities are targeted and have to undergo a lot of scruitiny. Sikhs are amongst the most kind and generous people in the world, apart from being brave, sure this world makes a joke out of them but it is important for people to understand that our religion is important to us, we do follow the rules and regulations laid down by the country but others too have to respect who we are and where we come from, it might seem odd to carry around a kirpan but then again that is no reason to violate someone like this, or their religion's sancitity.
