How Many people around the World, waiting for to get a visa, for one opportunity to arrive to Canadá and this people walking to the frontier and get in just walking? That's no sense. What happen with the border authorities on the American side and canadian border?

This policy encourages people (regularpeople, criminal) ?all around the world try to enter illegally to canada as a refugee, becuase to enter to Canada as a immigrant, you need to spend a lot of money, wait for 3 1/2 to 4 years (if you get 70 points, you will pass otherwise you are rejected), then you need to have money to come here to settle down and find a job (then you need Canadian experinece)...... abd so on. But as a refugee, all expenses is paid, you do not need to pay for rent, and so on... WHICH ONE DO YOU CHOOSE TO ENTER TO CANADA!!!!????

It is funny in a way that those people are leaving their homes for a better life in the US. Kind of ironic. Their country is so bad and go to the US border and get treated so humanely and with all the kindness they can muster. Only the few can make the trip to the Canadian border. And their first experience is what the US is known for, Racism.

Do yourself a favour and stay in the US. Trust me, you will regret picking Canada. Our shelter costs here are absurd and we have a government that flirts with communism. Our young generations hate the old. Western canada and quebec don't even like the rest of Canada. Divided place with crime rates quickly rising, country is quickly turning into a dumpster fire. It's a good place though if you are a boomer because you just keep feeding off the younger generation and the immigration keeps pushing up home equity that you can use as an ATM. They are running towards a different kind of poverty here. Some of the places they are running from (mexico), economically have potentially brighter futures than here. The kids might be kicking the parents for this when they get older and see the places where they came from, have better standards of living than the place they fled too. India included, they have the potential to become an economic power house. We hardly produce anything here, and our government chokes off our natural resource exports. We have too big of government, too many regulations, too many taxes. Who would do business in Canada? Name a Canadian company other than shopify. Blackberry... Oh wait its dead. Canada is becoming one big California with crappy weather. I wish Alberta joined the US tbh.\n\nSummed up. Canada is a big ponzi scheme that relies on the greater fool theory. At some point it will get harder to attract fools to want to come here. We are lazy and non-productive, our GDP relies on a housing bubble. We also have this smug arrogance over here like we are somehow better than Americans.

You can tell theyve never been to the US. Our emergency rooms can be all day long as well. And the taxes and health care costs end up being the same. Canadians are really misguided when it comes to their taxes. That tax situation is literally the same in the US. Its a false narrative that US people pay less in taxes when you build in the SEPARATE health care costs. For example, I pay 24% in taxes based on my tax bracket. Those taxes do not include the extra health care costs of having a PPT with health care premiums and deductibles- which is an extra 9330 (so an extra 10%)- so now we are paying the same- literally 34% between taxes and health care. AND add to that- the health care that we pay does not cover lab work and copays and medicines. Thats all out of pocket. So its honestly the same cost. It would be MORE fair to live in Canada where everyone gets that taken out of their taxes. Instead in the US, I pay for my health care, and poverty income people get free Medicaid. Then these girls talk about the cost of living? They have never been to the TRI state area.

I have mixed feelings about this. I feel like a total first letter of the alphabet-hole for not thinking of helping right away. When I lived in San Diego, it was a palpable daily reminder. Lots of people have cross-border lives. Family, work, home is on either side of the border. Now living up in Washington State, it's different. Here the border with Canada is all about preventing Canadians from stealing technology from us while allowing them to work for us. Some partners who come visit us often times get searched for technology. Like pen drives, samples, etc. It's a totally different story. Canada probably has less homeless than all of south America. It's an easy claim because literally, if you can't insulate your self in winter you go visit the great gardener Jesus and his weirdo multipersonality disorder. In south America, you just need to eat and not get eaten by things. So the result is that people survive way below the poverty line. Then, the big lie tells them that the US is better so they come over to eventually learn how the others found the three headed gardener the hard way. I feel like maybe if they got a tour of the country and learned how shitty it is to live here too, they might think twice about coming over. There are periods and ways when the US opens it's borders but it's looking like a real shit show right now. We don't have enough jobs and not enough houses to house everyone. At least in south America you can live in the family house and no one bats an eye. People help each other in poverty.

We already pay to much to live with rent/mortgage fees, groceries General cost of living I'm not going to pay for these clowns migrating to our country getting everything for free while the struggling canadians need to pay for them because you can bet trudeau won't pay out of pocket its our tax dollars

Please send all the worlds economic migrants with no money and no education to Canada where they can vote for the Liberals and get free health care and free social programs after becoming a Canadian citizen in 30 months. Canada is too soft on illegal migrants. Thanks to PM Trudeau. Once they cross border, they applly and claim for asylum. After allowing them to enter, they start lving a good life while the asylum app is in process. My issue with the Canadian government is how slow they are at processing work permits. It makes more sense to process them in a timely fashion so they can obtain legal jobs and pay taxes, instead of sitting in limbo receiving government support waiting for our government to get crap done. However it wouldn't be the Canadian government if they did things efficiently and at less expense to the tax payer.

It costs thousands for them to get registered for everything in Canada..and how they reimburse the tax payer is anyone's guess...It's wrong..these are ot legitimate refugees from, Nigeria,Turkey,South America..They are financial refugees..and meanwhile Canadians can't find affordable housing and dozens die each? winter on the streets freezing to death.

I am an American. I am looking to relocate to Canada because of the bad experiences I have had as a California Licensed Structural Engineer with 25+ years of experience. This US license is really difficult to obtain because the exam has a 25% pass rate. In California, it is much tougher because of the earthquakes the state experiences.\n\nInstead of being treated with respect for having this Structural Engineer License, I have been treated badly by structural engineering firms in the US. In the US, you can be fired for no reason at all. They use Performance Improvement Plans to lay me off because I am much smarter than the people I work with. Licensed Structural Engineers do not have job security - so expect to work only a few months.\n\nIn the US, you will have a job for 4 months because your boss has decided to hire someone cheaper and give himself a raise. This happened to me at the City and County of Denver.\n\nLicensed Structural Engineers do not have job security at all because employers do not care about their employees. With workplaces like that, the US is not the place to be. American is not the greatest nation when you have morons like Harry Dunn and Lloyd Christmas from the movie Dumb and Dumber running things! Americans are downright stupid! When can 4th generation Canadians get the same support as the newly arrived?

There are some things about our healthcare system that are annoying, but I'm ok with it overall. I'm Canadian born and haven't had a family doctor since mine passed away years ago, but clinics and emergency rooms are good enough for me. I was never a sickly sort. Crossing my fingers and hoping that these post COVID symptoms will eventually go away without all kinds of prodding by annoying doctors. I also plan to make use of these cancer screening appointments the province mailed to me last month. Not sure if they do that for everybody, or if there's a switch that gets flipped when Canadian residents reach a certain age.

I moved to Canada in 2012. I used to love Canada as even with $11 per hour job was more than enough to survive (during studies, part time job). I used to live happy life. But, since Liberal government was elected in 2015, things are going crap. Just between 2016 when I signed lease of 1+1 apartment for 1140$, in 2019 it was getting rented for $2400. Prices went up for house and lots of things. Liberals had messed up affordability that most people in Toronto region are living paycheque to paycheque. On top of it Carbon tax in hide of saving environment which literally not working out, is killing Canadians. \n\nAfter living in Canada for 11 years, I don’t see this country has any good future overall. Our banking to technology sector everything is outdated. World is moving so fast, Canada is not able to catch up. I am looking for easy was to get green card of USA, the country which I hated, it seems USA is far better. I have many relatives in USA, I asked around and it broke lots of my stereotypes about USA which I had developed living in Canada and from Canadians. Even met few people who lived in Canada for 10-15 years and moved to USA and living there for last 5-10 years. Worst decision of my life was choosing Canada in 2012 for easy immigration. My classmates who chose USA and moved there in 2012 are in much better position career wise as well salary wise and they files are also in progress. Living lavish life with great weather, while Canada is depressive as hell.

Quebec banning the hijab was literally ending racism. Catholic habits had been banned for decades. They finally said that if one religion isn't allowed, neither will the other one be allowed. That's called equality, not racism. I have no love for Quebec, but the one thing they do get right, is they treat different people groups (aside from French/English division) more or less the same. Great video! Another issue is childcare for working parents. There is no free childcare for working couples, both parents have to work to afford bills and the mother staying at home is not an option for the majority of working class Canadians since life is too expensive. For this reason a lot of people decide not to have children in this country simply because of unaffordability. Considering all the taxes Canadians pay this would greatly help people. The government gladly keeps bringing more and more new people into Canada ( mostly to get voters) but ignores the needs of existing Canadians. Not only you cannot find a house to live or afford one but having a family is nearly impossible without 3 or 4 jobs and using the food bank because after paying the rent there is no money to buy food.

I’m sure you’ll start to be reasonable regarding Canada. I had a good life good job & a nice home in Ukraine. Due to the barbarian russian invasion my family & I fled the horrific situation in Kharkiv city. I was driving a mini bus of 4 families! Most are children. We’ve arrived to Europe. Crossing many countries (Poland, Czechia & Austria) we’ve arrived to the country leading the EU. In Poland & Czechia, we’re treat very good by the people. In Austria we got hardly a payed hotel where children could get a rest!!! We still didn’t understand why they don’t want to give us rooms despite we’re paying for our staying!!! In Germany, I believe that the government did its best. But the number of comers is huge! Of course many they got disappointed as happened with me! But I still understand and believe that really the government & people did theirs best. So fast I got a job! The social connection helped to introduce me to the company! But i was not hired, I still to express myself & my qualifications. The manager was understanding, so he accepted to communicate in English and to offer me the job in case if I am successful doing the job during the first week at the site. I had to change the machines menu into English. So the manager was very satisfied with my job and I got that job. The rent! You’ll get it only if you receive the blessing of each member of the county and a very strong social connections! The doctors! To make just a blood work for my son it took 45 days of waiting! To get the doctor appointment, you need that a German guy call and get you the appointment! Because when my wife called, the secretary said: we don’t speak English! But when my wife went for her visit she figured out they’re speaking English better than her!!! My son has an issue of hyperactivity, so they refused to accept him at school more than 3 hours a day! And he was excluded from the birthday parties of his colleagues aswell other events! Other Ukrainian children, they were just attending classes! Just a show! No body cares how help their integration! About, the taxes! The half of my income was going to the government! The money back?! Only 200 euros/ month for my kid. And nothing else. Nothing! To get a neurologist appointment for my son it was necessary to wait 3 months! Prices?! Everything expensive! Technology?! Not better than Canada at all. Bureaucracy, Canada is much less. Banking system, Canada much better. Where in Germany?! The best province in Germany “Munich”. Where people stoped long ago dreaming to purchase a home. Guys, Canada doesn’t through broken people as we were in camps! Where nothing is human there! Canada doesn’t enter you in cercle of hell bureaucracy just to get your kid into school! And if he needs a support he get it right away without any background that he’s not our!!! I got a good job in Canada; so fast. Without any social connections because simply I do not have any. I rent an apartment for my family, without to proof to the landlord that I’m the best guy in the world with a witnessed county about that!!! I want you to be sure, that I am not the lonely case. Just ask Ukrainians stied in Europe for a while before they move recently. Just ask them. I am not saying it’s a paradise or cons don’t exist. Just paradise doesn’t exist! And cons are everywhere. Just I want you to be fair about Canada. Please, be reasonable! The cons in Canada are not catastrophic, and it’s not difficult to fix them. It may take some time, but not difficult. Believe me it’s not about only Canada. The whole world is going a step back! I wish that my experience, helps to understand appropriately.

Up until 81 Canada was 96% Caucasian. We did not want want this forced multiculturalism. Your racism stats are bs, Look at the crime stats and it is not Caucasian Canadians doing the vast majority of crime. Lived in Canada all my life. Love it. But,,, there is no future here. High taxes, poor government,, low wags, racism is a huge problem, and its not just white peoples. The immigrants can be super racist also. All this crap that Canadians are polite is not real. Its called passive aggression. When a Canadian says sorry if you bump into them in the store ,, they are being sarcastic! “Sorry you are an idiot and made me apologize to you eh!?” We are not nearly as nice as people think. The health care system here is trash! And will never improve. And its NOT free! Canadians get the tar taxed out of them their entire lives! Every single move one makes is taxed! Tax on tax on tax. This pays for our crappy health care. And not so good education system. People here including immigrants, not just white people, can be very racist. Quebec is a particularly racist province! They seem to dislike EVERYONE unless you are french Canadian.

Well everyone, the option is to go into a system like the United States has , which incidentally is far from perfect itself, my spouse was in emergency for five hours last Saturday night before anyone looked at her, , which the system will spiral in to a business and if you think you have problems now, just wait till what’s down in the future. As a Canadian who has lived in the United States the last seven years, our good family healthcare is $1270 US a month, which incidentally has a $1000 deductible and a 10% co-pay on everything we experience, and trust me an MRI scan ( yes , just a scan, not surgery) for your brain is costed out at $7000, so be prepared to pay your deductible and 10% of it along with all the other attending doctor charges, even with good healthcare at 1270U.S. a month ! That monthly healthcare premium is almost $1600 a month Canadian. Canadians complain about taxes being too high also, but that is my profession, and when you round out the two , there may be 2 to 3% adjusted for the exchange rate higher and you still get a lot greater bang for the buck. Also, your higher education in the United States is easily 2 to 3 times of what you’re paying for in Canada. I know it’s not optimal, however trust me you still have it good in Canada, I find so many immigrants complain about it when they come to Canada, Yet they are living in a relatively safe and secure country, just a little bit of appreciation would be nice. Is it always what I can get, how about maybe what you can give? Maybe the answer for everyone and candidates to start to pay to go see a doctor if you can have the doctors availability, that is the sad truth, and I’m quite sure people will not like that by any means when they see the charges. Trust me ,Canada is obviously far from perfect, but is overall still a pretty darn good country, for somebody that dislikes it so much, they need to go back to where they’re from, and compare, it might be a better option for them.

I moved to Canada in 2003, I think over the past few years things really took a turn for the worst and alot of the issues we're encountering now are mostly a result of government incompetency \n\n1) Instead of focusing on treatment and recovery we prioritized harm reduction and drug decriminalization which largely results in the current mental health/addiction crisis \n\n2) Instead of seeing housing as a public need, policies make housing investment vehicles (notably for rich folks in foreign countries) and locals can't really afford to buy or rent as a result\n\n3) Instead of building mass transit infrastructure including subways/light rail we continue to be extremely car-centric, most Canadians can't get around without a car but also can't really afford one due to all the costs associated with ownership. \n\n\n4) Government continues to cut back on healthcare spending despite an aging population across the country\n\nAnd one nongovernment-related aspect which is NIMBYism -- endless delays/protests on all major projects because someone is afraid their backyard views might be obstructed or some old trees might be cut.

Putting professional people from other countries, doctors, nurses etc, through recertification process before being allowed to practice in their fields, is not done only in Canada, it is done in the US as well and other developed countries, l am sure. The purpose is to be sure of the applicant's professional competence. In some countries, they cut corners with their educational system with such things as expo, cash and other things for grades. The Canadian system is prove what your paper says you're, so what is wrong with that. You don't go to an Organized country and expect it to be like Nigeria. I really don't get the belly aching.

Weather-wise, Australia beats Canada — maternity leave-wise, Canada beats Australia hands down. Australia is pretty isolated compared to Canada …mostly because Canada is next to the USA. Australia is overpriced in terms of groceries etc. and the extreme weather in Canada makes life expensive. Many Canadians move to the US for a reason. Australia is terrible with family reunions and visas for parents etc. There is a reason over 1 million Aussies prefer to live and work elsewhere — including myself — I was fortunate enough to get my PR in the US.

Housing in Canada is in the millions [limited ground space] 2-3m for the land alone...USA, you can buy a new house with a pool for $255k. Canadians, you can keep your free (not free) health care system and I would choose USA. I lived in Canada for 40yrs yet all my longtime, close relationships were Americans. I moved to the UK as we Canucks are not allowed to leave (just retire in usa for only 6mos). However, London is not British anymore and so you get a lot of reverse racism here, buts it's about 6x cheaper than Canada. Summary: Nowhere is perfect.
