Fabulous video! US viewer here. But we often vacationed in Quebec’s Laurentians and our daughter went to Ontario’s University of Toronto for her undergraduate degree about 15 years ago. UofT was rigorous, to say the least, but she did it in 4 years, unlike some of her peers. She LOVED it, and made many friends, including internationals. They’ve stayed close on FB, and even get together (some flying in from other countries, including the Middle East and Asia) every 2 years or so back in Toronto. We’ve found the easiest way to make friends is by going to university or college together and living in residence, rather than once we’ve enter the workforce.\n\nThat said, and as unpolite as it may be, the root of Canada’s problems are exactly its politics. IMO Canada’s misguided liberal policies are to blame for its stratospheric taxes, cost of housing, increasing crime, tolerant drug culture, and deteriorating health care system. That Canada now encourages voluntary euthanasia to reduce health care costs should say it all. Margaret Sanger would be proud. And it promises to get worse as long as Justin Trudeau and his ilk are in power. His lionizing climate change intervention at the expense of what really impacts Canadians is sheer madness. Conservative Party Pierre Poilievre and like-minded politicians could fix it all.\n\nHappily, here in the US, the conservative movement is growing and energized. Once-liberal, especially ‘minority,’ voters are understanding how little the left really offers in the long run, and are switching sides. They’ll be voting for Trump in November.

I was born in Canada, yet even I am tempted to leave it. Trudeau's both Jr & Sr have certainly ruined it (and probably forever). I would also like to add that I wish you and your family all the best, but it's too bad things have deteriorated as they have for all of us, whatever religious or political beliefs to the point that we just don't like it here anymore. I visit Canada regularly since the late 90th. I saw a steady decline in the last years. Get rid of Trudeau and his bad politics. The sad thing is that this happens to many western countries. Currently I live in Germany. The loss of wealth and confidence due to damage done to the economy by the current government is mind blowing. People are angry. Visiting the Netherlands, Britain, France - everywhere I go in the west it’s the same. Trudeau's push for mass migration is part of the problem, increasing housing demand. Torontonians tend to vote Liberal and NDP, and therein lies the problem. They keep funding NGOs that profit from homelessness and drug addiction, making these things worse. Also, look at who is being let in as citizens: very often people who will be a drain on the system, who increase crime and who are antisemites and potential terrorists (i.e. people from the Middle East and North Africa). Politically incorrect to say this, yes, but that doesn't make it less true.

Very good objective video. I grew up in Toronto and had many great experiences in the city as well as commuting from west Toronto into the city for five years of high school (grade 9 to grade13). At an very early age I used to fearlessly ride buses, street cars and the subway system with no concerns of crime or potential violence in my mind. I wouldn't suggest this now for a young person unless you have 2 or 3 marshal arts black belts in your resume! The very same circumstances exist in Vancouver...quite possibly x's 2. My family and I now live a short distance east of Vancouver, but the city has changed about 10,000% since I lived there from the late '70's to the late '90's. I don't mind saying that I believe most of the problems/issues in Toronto, Vancouver and many other cities in Canada have been accentuated by poor policy decisions at all levels of government...municipal, provincial and federal...particularly since 2015 aka the J Trudeau era. I live in Toronto since 1999 and witnessed the decline of the city due to higher crime rates, poor car racing on highways, more selfish people parking at the fire lanes, legalization of pot (thanks to stupid Trudeau govt), more traffic congestion, more homeless taking up the parks etc since 2005. It gets worse and worse each year.
